"So, before we start today's announcements, I would like to congratulate Seto Kaji for somehow single handily defeating a Sorcerer—on his first mission." Mr. Wyei smiled through gritted teeth. Seto nervously chuckled as he slouched into his seat, Sub smiled graciously.

"Now, as you all know the month is close to an end, and this is about the time where yearly missions begin to be assigned. Since all of you are in an X Class, you are expected to complete 20 SSS-Ranked Missions, 30 SS-Ranked Missions, 40 S-Ranked missions, or 10 X-Ranked missions. The same goes for other classes that you are ranked as X. To graduate, you must do at least 1 X-Ranked mission in the course of these upcoming months. To get a good grade in your X Classes, you must do those requirements I had mentioned earlier." Mr. Wyei explained as he picked up the chalk and wrote everything down.

He took a breath then continued, "You are able to take missions during the end of the day, as well as after school. For those who have elemental classes towards the end of the day, the classes have been switched towards the morning. There will be no more history or anatomy classes starting next week. You are able to see and take missions within the "Mission" tab of your holograms. In addition, today will be physicals. There will be no bells and I dismiss you towards 8:45. Please make your way to the gymnasium; there is a curtain that separates the males from the females. You may converse until I dismiss you. Before anyone asks; not the whole school will be going. The designated times for each class are different."

Seto took out his journal, or notebook. He opened up a fresh page and began writing down his thoughts in his usual purple ink. He didn't bother to put the entry date, there was too many to count. He had been writing in his "spare time," or writing down his thoughts through his Sorcery. His red, creeper face amulet dangled from his neck and into the crevasse of the notebook.

Entry ???

Missions are assigned as a way to test a Hybrid's natural abilities through realistic situations. These missions are rewarded with a school currency used to customize living spaces, as well as buy food during "lunch." Missions can vary from different ranks, almost as if within an alphabetical system. These missions can vary from simple, like getting a cat out of a tree, or difficult. The School of Creation does not hesitate to throw their dirty work onto students, for as one example of this is when killing a Sorcerer was an available mission.

Missions take place during the end of the day, an idealistic strategy to take down most of the Hybrids within the School of Creation is to make a Sorcerer come out into the main city, Golden City, and cause a commotion. Most likely students and many Hybrids will flood to this situation, for as it is worth many "coins." This is the best moment for attack.

Aside from Missions, my ways with the Prince seems to be more "casual," rather than "informal." I have learned that he is quite the pleasant and easily trusting person; he wouldn't expect anyone to stab him in the back. He talks a lot, and does not show significant power. I have yet to find out what his elemental ability, Draco Slayer Ark II, does. My inference is that it mainly is a powerful energy blast, or something involving light. Personality seems to play a role within elementals.

I will try to get more closer to the Prince of Hybrids; Brice Purton Solace, and I will make him reveal all the secrets that the Hybrids are hiding.

He shut the book and looked up. He made awkward eye contact with Mr. Wyei, who seemed to be staring lasers into the front of his head. He opened his mouth to speak, pointing at the door which abruptly lifted, "Class dismissed."

Seto quickly stood up and rushed out of class with his items, Sub followed behind. The two walked side by side within the halls, taking the southern route down the stairs and beginning to walk towards the gymnasium. It was hard to see over the crowd of heads, there were many tall people. Eventually reaching the designated area, he opened the left door labeled "MALE" and stepped in. He was slightly shocked that there was a "manual opening door" within the school.

It was bustling, almost as if within a train station. Many males were chasing each other around while laughing or sitting down on the dusty floor. Sub gave a light shove to the brunet, who was blocking the doorway, and grabbed his wrist, leading him through the crowd and towards the back. The two sat down in the corner, far away from the others as possible.

From what Seto could see, they were calling people up by last name and measuring their weight, height, and feeling their body incase of any injury or breaks. He had also noticed that they were requiring the males to take off their shirts—the thought of that made him quiver. Sub noticed him and patted his back. They were still on the letters B - C.

Little by little, the room began to become cramped. The curtain separating the boys from the girls seemed to have moved a bit; with some of the boys leaning on it causing it to fly backwards occasionally. The brunet's eyes scanned the room and eventually saw Kyle standing cross armed, alone. Seto furrowed his eyebrows. He had also noticed Brice and Zek who were walking towards the back of the room as well. They stopped and sat down next to the duo.

"Hey Seto." Brice smiled, throwing his arm onto Seto's shoulder again. The brunet frowned at the contact, but it had almost felt welcoming. It was probably the emotion getting to his head again.

"What happened to us being rivals inside of school?" Seto murmured, his fringe covering his chocolate brown eyes.

"Meh. Things change." Brice replied. "So, you know about the official missions, correct?"

"Correct." Seto repeated, quite awkwardly. He couldn't help but rest his head on Brice's shoulder.

"We should work together." Brice suggested, "it gets the job done faster."

"Count me out of it. If you both act all lovey-dovey I'm not interested." Zek scolded, crossing his arms. Brice looked up, faking a hurt face.

"Zek, are you jealous~?" Brice sneered, crawling towards the other. He rested his chin on Zek's shoulder, smirking as he continued to whisper. "You don't have to be, we can have fun together~"

Zek's face went bright red as he quickly toppled backwards in embarrassment. Brice took the opportunity to pin the raven haired male onto the dusty ground. His red and blue eyes widened in fear and embarrassment once more; it was mortifying for the future protector. Brice leaned in and whispered into his ear, "Don't be so jealous, you're hot too~"

"Oh my god Brice get off—"

"You don't want me to get off, don't you~? You like this view don't you~?" Brice continued to tease the other, trying his best not to laugh. "Look, people are staring, we should kiss right now and I'll show them who's mine~"

Zek's face went even brighter. Brice eventually got off of him, bursting into laughter while the other was burying his face into his hands, clearly embarrassed. Brice was lost for words as he gasped and spluttered, "You should have s-seen..." he wheezed, "your face! It's p-priceless!"

"Oh my god Brice, just shut up."

Seto couldn't help but soften his gaze and laugh.

Eventually, the announcer had called the letter "K." Seto gulped, standing up, along with a few other people, and strolling towards the front of the room. Kyle and Seto made eye contact for a brief moment, but the fuchsia haired male quickly averted his gaze, frowning while seeming to be deep in thought. Seto blinked, thinking, 'What's up with him?'

Making to the front, one by one the boys had taken off their shirts. It was quite awkward for the brunet as he took off his own shirt; which was basically a black button up. He was extremely pale compared to the other boys, but what made it worse was his bruises, scars, and how his ribs poked out from his chest. He was pretty sure that some of his bones near the torso were broken too, but he gotten use to the pain.

He strolled to one of the examiners; a man with a scruff and messy brown hair, as well as glasses. He had blue latex gloves on, and told the brunet to stand on the scale, which also doubled as a height measurer. He recorded the information down onto a piece of paper that was on a clipboard. Seto stepped off. He could feel the eyes beating down upon him and gazing at his frail body. He had too many injuries to count; to the normal eye it would be a frightening sight.

The man began to feel around Seto's torso, his eyebrows furrowing as he whispered, "Dislocations, broken—too many to count..."

"Is there something wrong?" Seto asked, pretending to be dumbfounded.

"You do not feel any pain, correct?" The man asked.

"No." Seto lied.

"You have many injuries internally. You will be sent to a healer tomorrow evening, take this note and you may go." The man handed the brunet a pink slip. He took it and went to go grab his shirt to put it on, then headed back to the back of the room. He couldn't help but stop where Kyle was standing.

"Hey." Seto simply said, "You should be the one protecting me, if Father found out—"

"What's the point if you got a new one?" Kyle frowned, avoiding eye contact.

"Excuse me?" Seto asked.

"Don't play dumb with me, Prince Harvey." Kyle's voice sounded cold, "Your Sorcery has increased in power ever since that 'Sub' came. Heck, your nails are pitch black and swirling with darkness in them, signifying the deal you made. You personally picked me, why are you doing all of this now?"

"I have my reasons." Seto replied, voice low and grim.

"Do I really mean nothing to you? Am I really that weak in your eyes Prince Harvey?" Kyle scolded, turning towards the shorter one. "Did you really even care! What am I to you, huh?"

Seto clenched his fist.

"He's nothing to you. Say it. He's always been nothing but a mistake, he's a worthless protector. He would have been better off dead by the hands of the Sorcerer due to your Father's request."

"Am I nothing to you!" Kyle yelled, his voice drowned out by the others who had been talking.

"You are nothing, and you always will be! You are a disgrace!" Seto blurted out. He covered his mouth in realization. Kyle's crystal blue eyes widened in shock, but then went soft as he scrunched up his nose.

"I'm glad you're telling the truth, Prince." Kyle's voice was laced with venom as he glared. He pushed Seto away and disappeared into the crowd, leaving the brunet wide eyed and frowning. He clenched his fist. The pink slip began to get crushed in his hand.

'Maybe he was nothing in the end.' Seto had thought while strolling back to the corner of the room.
