It was a few more minutes of walking until they had reached the heart of the Golden City. It was magnificent; the citadel that had surrounded the castle were cleanly polished, no vines crawling up the sides. The castle, however, towered over the walls and seemed to be freshly polished and the color of pristine white and golden. There were golden flags wavering fiercely within the wind on the top of the structure, it made the newcomers' eyes sparkle.
"They finally made it." Zek scoffed, walking towards the group of boys. "Who's the new guy?"
"New guy? What new guy?" Tyler had questioned. "It's just me, Kyle, and Seto!"
"No, you idiot, the guy in green." Zek had face palmed, pointing to him.
Sub gulped, giving a small wave before throwing out a raspy cackle. He signed with his hands the words, "Fuck off."
"He says hello." Seto translated, earning a glare from the other Sorcerer dressed in green.
Zek began to mutter under his breath, "Capture a Sorcerer they said; this will be easy they said; you'll get rewards they said—"
"Alright, I'm here!" Brice intruded, huffing and puffing. "I just had to visit something, that's all. So, do any of you have a plan?"
"We can search through the forest, it seems like a plausible place for a Sorcerer in hiding." Sub suggested, shrugging.
"We can search through the forest, it seems like a plausible place for a Sorcerer in hiding." Seto had translated. He adjusted his posture on the floating cloud to a more comfortable position. Sub sat down next to him, his feet dangling off the side of the cloud and close to the ground. Kyle just stood there, glaring at the Sorcerer in green.
"Well, alright then." Brice clasped his hands together, smiling.
"I have a map implanted on my hologram." Zek lifted up his left wrist and touched the red wristband. A map appeared, along with instructions on how to get to the Ashe Forest from the Golden City. "Should take us about ten minutes tops if we walk fast enough."
"Isn't the Ashe Forest where we found those scriptu—mph!" Zek slapped his hand on top of Brice's mouth, stopping him from speaking.
"Let's go." Zek concluded, voice rough and teeth gritting together.
The others nodded. Zek led the group while Seto and Sub floated next to him on the cloud, blindly following his orders like apprentices. Seto couldn't notice the feature on the other's face; his frown, his eyes that darted around shakily, and soft glossy tears that seemed to be always there; awaiting to come flooding down at the perfect moment. Seto turned away, facing the others behind him.
Tyler and Kyle were having their playful conversations as per usual. Brice, on the other hand, seemed to have turned his head towards the other direction once the brunet had turned around, face tinted pink once more. It was a strange sight, but Seto could grow acquainted with it. After all, he was going to pose as "friends" with the a supposed "Prince of Hybrids" to gather as much information as possible. Speaking of information, he, once more, left his journal at home. What an idiot.
He turned around and faced foreword. There wasn't much to the Golden City, it was quite bland for being, well, a city. It seemed like a more suburban area with houses and buildings here and there. People were also walking amongst the streets, but rather being in multitude there was only about one or two people that would pass by every couple minutes. The citadel and the castle seemed to be buzzing with more people rather than the outskirts of the streets.
"There's another group already in Ashe Forest, they're currently fighting the Sorcerer." Sub signed, a worried expression planted on his face, "There are four powerful Hybrids there. We should hasten our pace if your goal is to question the other Sorcerer."
Seto nodded. Without a word, he snapped his fingers and the cloud grew more in size. Clasping his hands together, the wind began to blow more harshly, launching the two Sorcerers foreword and up into the sky. Brice shrugged, summoning his electric board and following behind the two. Zek groaned, throwing up his wristband and taking out a flying elixir. He splashed it on himself and flew after the group.
"So, wanna go after them or should we just go back home?" Kyle questioned, squinting his eyes as he watched the others fade into the distance.
"We can probably go hang out with Adam and just play Minecraft on his ybox." Tyler rolled his eyes sarcastically, "it's not like they need us or anything."
"Sweet let's go." Kyle cheered, not quite getting the sarcasm.
"That was sarcasm you idiot!" Tyler scolded, hitting the other in the nape of the neck. Using his sound elemental, he managed to manipulate the silence around him and turn it into a platform of wind that was quite difficult to stand on. The two boys tried to keep their balance as they sat off after the trio.

"I've pinpoint their location, jump now." Sub signed, the wind flying through his hair. He unwrapped the blindfold from his arm and tied it around his eyes, making the "Ω" visible. Seto gulped; it was a long way down. Exchanging glances, the two directly jumped down, the cloud dissipating once their feet left the cloud.
Seto enjoyed the rush of the wind around his fragile body. The adrenaline was a bit much, though, it was to the point in which he couldn't hear Brice's panicked screams in the distance. Getting close to the trees of the forest, he managed to dodge a couple before landing on the ground. The impact wasn't hard, it was a bit soft. He stood up, dusting himself off and gazing around his surroundings. It looked like he had formed a crater. Sub landed directly next to him, making the crater deeper and causing a loud crack! to be heard around the forest.
The two Sorcerers climbed out, gazing at their surroundings. It had looked like a battlefield; the trees were clawed at, there were many more craters around them, fresh metallic smelling blood was on the ground, and articles of ripped clothing scattered. Sub grabbed the brunet's arm, quickly teleporting them to the original scene. Seto blinked, rubbing his eyes as he saw five people battling one person. Yet, they stopped fighting to turn towards their direction.
"Someone's one for dramatic entrances." A boy with a fringe covering his icy blue eyes groaned.
Sub signed nothing. He walked through the middle of the battle, his pale hands sparking with dark energy. The unknown Sorcerer growled, throwing a blast towards his direction. He dodged with ease, grabbing the Sorcerer by the neck. He lifted him up the ground, then thrashed him into the Earth, causing another loud crack to travel through the forest.
"Seto come here." Sub signed, standing up and putting his foot on the Sorcerer's neck. Seto walked through the crowd of five Hybrids, eventually reaching the Sorcerer. Sub chanted a spell, causing a black, large sphere to be surrounding the three.
"Darkness spell." Seto observed, touching it with his hand. The darkness travelled through his pale fingers and went into his fingernails. Loud banging was heard outside the shield, almost as if someone wanted to break in.
"I made it so it looked like the Sorcerer teleported us to him casted the spell." Sub signed, "It's an advanced illusion spell, no one else would have realized it."
"So, no one can hear us in here, correct?" Seto asked.
"Yes." Sub nodded, "They can attack this barrier but it won't go down unless you or I do as so. You may do as you wish." The Sorcerer in green had lifted up his foot, setting the unknown Sorcerer free.
Seto turned towards the unknown Sorcerer, anger obviously spilling through his now purple eyes. Purple hands from his waist had formed. The wind increased within the barrier as the purple dust went into a more "solid" state. Making the hands grab the enemy, he had shrunken them so he could talk to them face to face. The Sorcerer scowled, angry.
"State who sent you here and your purpose." Seto blandly said, "One wrong move and I can snap all the bones in your body."
"I refuse to state anything." The Sorcerer scoffed.
Seto tightened his grip around the Sorcerer's body, causing screams of agony to be heard. It was loud enough to be heard from outside the barrier, causing the group of original five Hybrids to step back in shock.
"Guys—we can't just stand here and let them die! Zane, Aaron, use your darkness spell against the barrier!"
"We can't Aph, it's pointless. It's a Sorcerer's spell, you've seen the teleport two newcomers towards him. We need to leave, it's not safe."
"But guys, they're helpless—!"
"For once, Zane is right."
"Katelyn, you can't do this! When Jeffory was in trouble you didn't stop at nothing to save him!"
"That was different Aph! That was when we weren't fighting a Sorcerer!"
"Fine then! Garroth, you'll help me, right?"
"I'm with the others on this, c'mon guys."
"We can't just let them die! Guys, come back!"
"Aph, we've done enough. It's too late."
"Aaron! Stop it, let go of me! We need to help them!"
The screams didn't die down, Seto didn't make his grip loosen. He saw the blood slowly dripping down onto the grass as he grit his teeth once more, speaking, "Who sent you here! State your purpose!"
"It was the Headmaster—he sent me to kill Kyle Komics!" The Sorcerer screamed. Seto widened his eyes, the grip intensifying before the body had exploded. It was gruesome as the blood splattered onto the brunet. Sub winced, some of the blood being poured onto him. He sent down the barrier, letting the light in. Seto fell to his knees, the purple arms disappearing from his waist and his eyes returning to normal.
"I suspected it, but I never anticipated for my feelings for my acquaintance to be this close." Seto murmured, "I guess I've grown too attached to him. What an idiot I am for letting emotion get to me again."
It was quiet, dead quiet. Sub untied the blindfold from his eyes and tied it around his wrist once more. He strolled towards the brunet, patting his back as they two gazed at their reflections within the pools of blood. Brice and Zek's reflection was seen, for as the two had just arrived. Seto didn't bother to turn around.
"What happened?" Brice asked, gazing at the blood and the body parts that were scattered around the forest.
Sub searched through his pockets, taking out a pen and a small pocket book. He wrote, "The Sorcerer trapped us in a darkness barrier. Seto got carried away with the attacks and caused the Sorcerer to explode once he clenched onto them with his ice hands."
"Gruesome." Zek commented, looking at an eyeball that was in the distance. Brice nodded in reply.
"I guess the Sorcerer's dead then." Brice murmured, "No one gets the mission reward then, it was suppose to be whole and dead."
Seto lifted up his wristband, pressing on it. The hologram appeared, along with his stats. Confetti and music blared, along with the words "FIRST MISSION COMPLETE! CONGRATULATIONS SETO KAJI!"
Brice gazed at him in shock, a smile growing on his face. He hugged the brunet from behind, tightly. Seto winced at the sudden contact. Brice yelled, "Congrats Seto! First mission complete I'm so proud of you!" He stood up, lifting the brunet off the ground and swinging him side to side in a hug.
Seto squirmed, "Stop spinning me and put me down!" The blond and brunet bickered, Zek and Sub just chuckled and looked on.
"Happy endings always happen, do they not?" Sub wrote sweetly. Zek nodded, strolling towards a black creeper faced amulet that shone on the ground. He picked it up; the amulet shone brightly. It reminded him of Seto's amulet.
"Yeah, they do." Zek gritted his teeth together, glaring at the brunet with anger.
'Don't think you're fooling me, Kaji. Just you wait, your true identity will be revealed soon enough.'
