The next afternoon the students all met outside of the school. The large group of friends sat together on both the bus and plane ride. The bus ride was small and cramped as per usual on the old school buses the high school owned. Once the high schoolers got to the airport, check-in was relatively painless and they only had to wait 30 minutes before their plane began boarding. The plane was a big jumbo jet and there were only a few strangers on board, the majority of the plane was taken over by the loud sophomore class. The plane aisles had three seats per row. Grace, Ally, and Emily in one row with Grace at the outside aisle; Emily at the window seat, and Ally in the middle. Across from them: Alissa, Cristine, and Delilah, with Delilah at the window seat, Alissa at the aisle seat, much to her disliking, and Cristine in the middle. Mason, Roger, and Phillip to a row behind them. Mason had gotten the window seat with Phillip in the middle and Roger on the aisle seat. Behind Emily was Steve, behind Ally was Carlos, and finally behind  was James.
Emily watched as the plane began to take off, her shoulder being tapped from behind her. The female turned around to look at Carlos, "What?"

"Can I have some gum?" He asked twisting a bit of his short hair.

"No." She replied sternly.

"Come on. Please?" He whined.

"I didn't bring any." She lied as she put a piece of gum in her mouth.

"Can I have some gum?" Ally asked batting her eyes, in an attempt to be cute.

"Nope." Emily looked out the window as the plane began to rise off the ground.

On the other side of the aisle Cristine, Alissa and Delilah were sitting in silence. Alissa seemed to be in the same kind of trance she always went into during car rides. Delilah was already trying to fall asleep. The only one really attentive was Cristine. She sat there with her leg bouncing up and down. Finally, she turned to Alissa.

"Why do I have to sit in the middle!?" She complained.

"I dunno. It just happened." Alissa mumbled, still in her trance.

"Well, I don't like it! I didn't have to sit in the middle last time I went to New York!"

"That was last time you went. This is different."

"I don't even have anything to lean on when I want to sleep." Cristine groaned.

"Deal with it. I can't help you with that."

Cristine frowned and slouched back in her seat and closed her eyes. She didn't seem pleased with the results of that conversation. The trip had started late in the evening and the plane flew silently through the night sky. The ride was long, most of the kids asleep, a few still awake. Emily was asleep on the small table, Aliss also asleep along with Cristine (who was sleeping straight up) and the rest of the girls.
Steve looked out the window then looked at Carlos, "I think I'm going to go to sleep."

"Okay." Carlos shrugged. James watched a video on his phone that he downloaded. Steve had attempted to fall asleep, however, there was too much noise for him to do so, it was a mystery to him how others who didn't have music fell asleep. So the bright blue-eyed male opted for looking at "art" on his phone and making his own short clips.
Jordan stood up and walked up the aisle once the seat belt light had come off. He walked down to the bathroom, coming back moments later to sit between Jacob and Lewis.

It was still dark outside the windows when the plane began to descend. The green seatbelt sign flickered on as the small number of kids who were asleep woke up. Their stomachs dropped as the nose of the plane dipped down after circling the airport twice. The plane landed and taxied to the gateway as the group of kids got their first look at the big apple. There were still stars in the sky but small rays of sunshine were just beginning to shine through the shadows of skyscrapers. The sophomore class slowly made their way out of the plane, several of them yawning as their lack of sleep caught up to them. Some of the adults helped the half sleep kids grab their suitcases off the carousels and escorted them to the charter buses that awaited them outside. More kids fell asleep as the ones that slept on the plane stared up at the sky. The shadow of the 16-floor hotel passed over the buses as they came to a stop.

The hotel was nice, it was either three or two people per room. The roommates went as told by the parents and teachers: Lewis, Elijah, and Jordan; Ally, Emily, and Ruby; Alissa and Cristine; Delilah and Grace; Mason and Roger; Devin and Phillip; Steve, James and Charles; and lastly Carlos, Jacob and Jake. Ally and Emily decided to sleep in a bed together, so that meant one more girl could stay in their room, that girl being Merran. The hotel rooms were nice and some provided a good view of the New York City streets. Each student was given a key for their room and the room number. The suitcases were packed to the brim with clothes enough for at least two weeks since that was how long the trip was going to be.

Immediately, the high schoolers went about their own business. Their orders were to stay in their hotel rooms until 10:00 so they had a chance to sleep and let their bodies adjust to the time change. Several people moved about the hotel restlessly. Some exploring the lobby with adult escorts while some went to visit their friends in other rooms. Alissa sat on the bed and looked at the hotel clock. It read 5:23 AM. She groaned and laid back down. Cristine was looking at her flip phone.

"I can't believe I finally get to go on a trip without my parents.... It's honestly a little.... Strange." She clutched her phone tighter, it's empty screen staring back up at her

Alissa sat up at looked at her confusedly, "Isn't this what you said you wanted? I specifically remember you saying 'I want to just get away from them! They follow me everywhere! Can't I have a little adventure on my own?'"

Cristine blinked her eyes, clearing away her concerned expression "This is what I wanted! I just.. Don't know how to feel about it right now."

Alissa sat up once more, tossing her hair behind her shoulders "Well, I'm bored. Let's go check on the others. Maybe they're awake."

The two got up and cleared their suitcases away from the door so if anyone came in, they wouldn't trip. A grabbed her key card off of the counter the TV was on and opened the door. Cristine followed right behind her and put the note saying "We are out at the moment" that they had written earlier on the door, letting everyone know they weren't in their rooms. They went to the door next to theirs that said "Room 1563" on it. This was the room Ally and Emily were in. Ally knocked twice.

Ruby opened the door to the room, "Hey, What are you two still doing up?"

"We came to see if Emily and Ally were awake." Cristine explained.

"They're actually asleep right now." The blonde female apologized.

"No it's alright, we'll just go back to our room." Alissa thanked.

"Alright, well goodnight." Ruby then closed the door.

This sort of routine continued on all throughout the morning until the adults decided on what landmark to visit. The next two days consisted of the Sophomores being taken to different places. The third day, however, was probably the most disappointing or the best day one group of kids thought of. It was the day a select few were able to go and have a tour of the Avengers Tower. Some of the girls were too excited to stay still, Emily and Cristine being some of the few.

The charter buses arrived as usual, but the overall feel of the trip wasn't the normal dreary morning. It seemed as if all of the students had a sudden feeling of joy come over them. Eventually, the buses reached the Avengers tower. It was hard to mistake as the giant skyscraper was the second tallest building in New York. Once the group of students passed through the lobby's glass doors they were greeted by the one and only Tony Stark in a black and white business suit with sunglasses. Emily bounced in her place taking a picture of him with her phone, Cristine smiling from ear to ear getting even giddier than she already was. Tony Stark put his hands together and began addressing the crowd.

"Welcome to the Avengers tower, you will all be separated into groups, don't wander off because of the highly dangerous experiments, don't touch my stuff. You will be able to meet the Avengers during your tour, don't annoy us, and all that but most importantly, have fun." He smirked and took off his sunglasses as he put on the glove of his metal suit and he shot at a balloon above the kids which let out a lot of confetti. The kids cheered loudly, some rushing to his side to get a picture of him. It wasn't long before he began to walk away and go back to work.
The group escorts began to hold up signs with different things written on them so the students could find which group they were supposed to be in. The signs matched up with the stickers that the students had on their shirts so they easily separated off into their respective groups. The two teachers that had stayed with the students decided which groups they were to go with and trusted that the rest would come back safe and sound. There were only two teachers as the rest were with the students that didn't get the privilege to go on the Avengers tower tour for reasons that were too weird or funny to explain. As the students looked around, they realized that there was an average of about five people per group.

The "A-Team" consisted of Ally, Jordan, Phillip, and two others. The "B Team" consisted of Roger, Grace, Emily, and two others as well as one of the teachers. The "C Team" consisted of Devin, James, Ruby, Delilah, and Jake along with the other teacher. The "D Team" consisted of Jacob, Lewis, Cristine, and two others. The "E Team" consisted of Steve, Mason, and three others. The "F team" consisted of Alissa, Charles, and three others.

They all parted ways in different directions, lead by their escorts. The A and F Teams headed towards the lab where they were testing out some different serums to replicate their powers for use of the military. The B and C Teams headed towards the tech lab where they had all sorts of different gadgets and suits of armor. The D and E Teams headed towards the magical artifacts room where they were still trying to figure out the science behind different phenomenon in the Avengers.

Once team F and A got to the labs, the kids looked at the stuff in them, grinning or looking on in awe and amazement. There were many scientists in the area, one of them being an Avenger, that being Peter Parker who was studying a spider. Alissa nearly ran over to him, but she kept her cool as best she could. She walked over to him as casually as she could and asked for a picture with him, to which he accepted. The female took out her phone and snapped a picture, setting her hand on the counter where the spider was. Charles had wandered over to where Bruce Banner was, who was ironically testing some things on gamma radiation. He observed silently after snapping a quick picture with the man. Ally grinned widely when she saw the one and only Captain America walk through the science block, she sped over to him and grinned. She asked for his picture eagerly to which he kindly accepted. They chatted for a little bit as she stood next to one of the super soldier experiments. Jordan was also near one of the super soldier experiment areas, however, he did not talk to any Avengers. Phillip wandered over to a chamber that some scientists were testing out that could change genetic codes. The blonde thought of this as highly impossible to which the scientists scoffed at.

Team B and C had lots of fun as well. Emily nearly screamed when she saw Bucky Barnes getting work done on his vibranium arm. She glanced at the teacher and sped over, asking for his autograph and picture. The brown haired male was slightly confused, but did it anyway and received a hug from the constantly stuttering girl. She walked off and merged with the D group telling her friend Ruby to cover for her, the girl refused. Devin walked over to where Hank Pym, Scott Lang, and Hope van Dyne were, Ruby had done the same. The two got a few pictures, even though Devin didn't take many pictures it was mostly for Snapchat. Ruby smiled and looked at the Wasp suit in awe. Hank offered if they would like to try them on, even though he normally would not do that. The dark-skinned female, Delilah had gone over to where the War machine suit was. She was offered to test it out. James had made a beeline to Tony Stark and asked if he could try one of the suits on. At first, the adult was questioning and snarky but reluctantly allowed it. Jake nodded in respect when he had found Sam's Falcon suit. Sam allowed him to try it on for a minute. Grace and Roger had found their way to Hawkeye's new bow and Black Widow's new belt. The two were allowed to look but not touch, that is until Hawkeye and Black Widow came in and allowed them to.

The last two groups seemed to have the most fun with looking at all of the artifacts. Steve had gone over to see Doctor Strange who was teaching a lesson on how to use a sling ring and to bend light enough that it could form a weapon. The altruist male seemed to get it down almost instantaneously and was able to use it after a few times. Lewis had spotted Vision in with the artifacts room and went over to speak with him. Before Cristine made her way to Wanda she first got Vision to sign her artwork of him, she also got Emily to get a picture of the two together. Once all this was done Cristine had made her way to Wanda. Mason had gone over to talk with Thor and admired his hammer. Jacob had gone over to talk with T'Challa about how awesome his suit was. Emily looked around and spotted Loki (to her surprise) and grinned at him, complimenting him more than needed to be done, but the black haired male enjoyed them greatly.

Back in the first science block, the kids seemed to have been separated. Jordan and Ally had been pushed into a different area by a few scientists, apparently being mistaken for volunteers for an experiment. They were strapped down and given some pain killer. The machines started up and injected a blue liquid into both of them. Phillip had been pushed into a testing chamber by one person on accident, however before he could leave, the doors had shut and locked, he tried to tell them he was in the chamber as calmly as he could before he began pounding his fist onto the door of the chamber. The glass was soundproof so no one heard him, the inside of the chamber whirring to life. Alissa had been bitten by the spider Peter had been studying, she yelped in surprise and shook her hand in pain. Peter didn't seem to understand what had happened. Charles and Bruce seemed fine, that is until something broke and the two were exposed to immense amounts of gamma radiation.

James looked around in the suit he was wearing when he got an idea. Gabe had been in the room with the group, and since the blonde had his phone with him James asked him to play Rush B. Gabe did so and watched as the white boy danced in the iron suit. That is until the helmet, practically electrifying James's head, to which he passed out from. Devin and Ruby had put on the leathery suits that Hope and Scott used on a daily basis, the two seem to have fun growing and shrinking. Delilah had gone over to see if James was okay. Grace and Roger had tested Hawkeye and Black Widow's things out, getting a mini lesson from the two. Jake had put on Sam's Falcon suit, commenting how cool it was.

Doctor Strange's cloak came off of Stephen's body and placed itself on Steve's shoulders. The bright-eyed male had also had some garments that looked like Strange's. Jacob had been shown by T'Challa what it was like gain the powers of the Black Panther. The used the real thing to really get him Immersed their culture. Once it was over, Jacob was allowed to put on the Black Panther suit. Lewis continued to talk to Vision when someone put a hand on his shoulder and stabbed him. The male's eyes widened as he fell to his knees, coughing once before completely collapsing. Vision picked him up hurriedly and went off somewhere with him. Wanda was casting a spell while glancing every so often at Vision, however, when the younger man got stabbed she screwed something up that winded up transferring her powers to Cristine who was watching in amazement. Lastly, Mason and Emily had found their way near each other since the brothers were near each other. Thor offered Mason to attempt lifting his hammer. Mason wrapped his hand around the handle and was about to struggle to pick it up when it easily lifted in his hand. Thor looked at this with wide eyes as did Loki. Emily took this opportunity to hold Loki's staff.

"Are you Alright?" Peter asked Alissa.
"Yeah I'm fine..." she mumbled softly looking at the spider bite.

"Get her to the operation table for the metal sleeve!" One scientist yelled as Ally was taken away against her will.
"Let me go!" The female cried.
"Get this man in costume!" Another man yelled as Jordan was taken away to a separate room.
"Come on, this isn't cool!" The brown haired male yelled, struggling to get free.

"What's that kid doing there? Get him out!" A female yelled at other workers.
"That hurt..." Phillip groaned as he was dragged out of the testing chamber.

"Oh man, this is not good..." Charles groaned.
Banner shook his head, " This is my fault..."

"It's like I can see for miles and still hit my target." Roger mused.
Hawkeye nodded, "Yeah it's a gift."

"This belt is pretty handy." Grace hummed looking at Black Widow.
The redhead nodded, "It really is."

"Heck ya man, I can talk to ants." Devin smirked.
"Yeah, it's pretty cool." Scott nodded.

"Shrinking down to the size of a bug is really cool." Ruby smiled at Hope.
"Isn't it though?" The other female replied.

Delilah shook James a little, "Hey are you okay?"
"Alright, we need him out of that suit." Tony ordered.

"Aw heck yeah, now I'm super cool." Jake then dabbed.
Sam laughed, "My dude you are rocking that."
"Your mom." Jake shot back.

"Looks like I have been chosen." Steve joked.
The doctor laughed a little, "Yeah it seems so."
"Hey, can I try and use the ey-"
"No." The adult interrupted immediately.

"I feel so powerful." Jacob grinned a little in the suit.
T'Challa nodded, "Yes it does make you feel powerful, but you have to use it with care."

"Do not worry, I will help you." Vision explained to the corpse.

"Can I have my powers back?" Wanda asked
"I would if I knew how..." Cristine apologized.
"Well, it would seem as though you are worthy.." Thor laughed nervously.
"That's awesome." Mason looked at the hammer and tossed from one hand to the other.

"Kneel!" Emily laughed softly.
Loki smirked, "Only if you kneel to me first."

"That's fair." She laughed kneeling before Loki

Mason raised the hammer above his head in an attempt to summon lightning, however since he was not Thor he ended up creating a shortage throughout all of the entire Tower, all students being struck and passing out in the process.

When the kids had woken up each one of them felt differently, along with being dressed differently. Ally groaned and put a hand to her head. Seeing the metal sleeve, she began to freak out, "What happened to my arm?!" She exclaimed in confusion.
"Don't worry, it's just a metal sleeve it comes off." A scientist reassured.
The female breathed heavily looking at the added muscle on her body, she no longer felt pain on her back, which was a strange yet welcomed feeling. Her outfit consisted of a dark purple top and black pants, the metal sleeve being made of vibranium.

Jordan put a hand to his head, "I don't think I like it here.." he groaned softly.
"Captain, are you alright?" One person asked.
"Who are you calling Captain?" The blonde questioned.
"You, Captain America." The person replied.
Jordan blinked and looked down at himself, they weren't exactly lying to him since he had on the skin-tight suit that his newly found muscles filled out nicely. The vibranium shield right next to his side.

"Hey, you okay Quicksilver?" a woman asked Phillip.
"Who are you calling Quicksilver?" The blonde asked beginning to get out of the block when he ran into a wall. He rubbed his head and looked behind him, he had gone all the way across the room. Phillip furrowed his brows and looked at the mirror next to him, it seemed he was wearing a blue shirt with sleeves that had a hole for his thumbs to go through, his pants were black jeans, and a pair of grey and white running shoes. He also seemed to be more muscular than he has ever been.

Alissa groaned and stood up slowly, pulling something off her head. Looking at it her eyes widened as she saw it was the Spider-Man mask, "If I have this...then does that mean," she lifted her arm a little and put down her two middle fingers, a spider web shooting out from her wrist. She looked at the substance in shock then grinned a little. She walked over to the wall and carefully maneuvered her way up to the ceiling, "This is so cool."

Charles groaned getting up and looking around, he stood up and looked around, "Hey, is everyone okay?" He asked as he walked around.

Grace stood up slowly putting a hand to her head, she looked around, seeing others on the ground passed out, she felt her clothes were different, it was a skin-tight black outfit that zipped up in the front a red buckle to the belt she had on along with black boots. She felt smarter, even though she was pretty smart already, "Hey is everyone okay?" She asked, helping up Roger who was right next to her.

Roger ran a hand through his hair as he stood up, accepting Grace's help, he felt one of his arms were exposed to the arm while the other was covered in fabric, that included his hand. All of his clothes were different, including shoes. He knew his eyes had gotten extremely better even though his vision was perfect, he could feel some of his senses had become better, "I'm fine.." he sighed while looking around the room.

James jerked awake looking around, he took the metal helmet off and looked around, "What happened?" He asked his friend Gabe who had just helped him up, "You passed out." The other male answered. James gave him an arched brow as he stretched a little, getting out of the suit of armor. James felt his head buzzing with new ideas, he felt much smarter, along with noticing some muscle growth on him.

Delilah looked up, she was still in the War machine suit, she stood up and got out of it, "What the heck happened?" She asked, looking at everyone else.

Devin and Ruby woke up at the same time, both of them taking off the helmets to their suits.
"Oh wow, that hurts..." Ruby mumbled holding her head. Devin nodded but stood up, "Where are the others?"

Hank stared at Devin in confusion, "What others?" 

"The other two people who were here." He replied getting a little annoyed.
"I was the only other person here."
Ruby frowned a little and looked around in just as much confusion.

Jake looked around in a confused daze, he began walking over to the group, "Hey, what happened?" He questioned.

"We don't know." James shook his head.

Jake furrowed his brows and then looked at the others.

Everyone in the last block seemed to wake up at the same time, all of their eyes going to glare at Mason.
"Are you crazy?" Jacob exclaimed, not really caring about his muscle growth or that he now had a Wakandan tattoo on the inside of his lip.
Cristine looked at everyone, she knew her clothes had become more sealed. Her shirt seemed like a dark red corset like a shirt that came up with a high V neck. She had a dark red trench coat to match the shirt and black leggings with leather looking boots that came up to a little below her knees.

Lewis came into the room, "Umm guys? I don't think this is my body." He had looked completely different, his skin was red and he wore a tight blue outfit with red boots that had gold stripes on the side. In place of hair looked to be blue metal that came to a point where a yellow stone lay in the center of his forehead. Finally, there was a gold-colored cape that draped behind his back.

Steve looked at him, "It doesn't look like your body." He remarked. The male didn't feel any different besides now having a large range of knowledge on medical things which he never knew and the different universes, which he thought were just his normal thoughts. He was also now wearing the Eye of Agamotto, inspecting the artifact.

Mason looked at the hammer in his hand, "This is pretty cool." He mused looking at his outfit which had now looked like battle armor, or in short Asgardian clothes fit for a warrior. A majority of the outfit had silvers and darker greys, his shoes matching his outfit with the same colors. Mason had a circular badge like things on his outfit the larger ones on his shoulders holding in place a red cape that draped gracefully behind him. His muscles had grown very large to accommodate the size of the outfit. His hair having grown longer, much to his disliking, deciding he would have to get it cut once he got back home.

Emily crossed her arms, "Pretty cool? You nearly killed everyone in this building!" She huffed. Her clothes had also changed to those of leather material. Her top having the neck come up and curl under itself with a small slit that looked like a tight V. It then came down and split towards the end to created a sizable gap between two extra things of material. Her pants were a leathery Black material, her boots coming just below the knee in a dusty brown color. She then also had what looked like an Asgard version of a trench coat, fit for royalty that also had green rimming on the inside of it. The outfit itself was more golds, blacks, and greens all around it, with the exception of dusty brown shoes. On top of her head was a "crown" looking thing that had long horns curling down and up. Her body having to thin out to fit the outfit.

The group of kids found each other quickly, speaking with each other and how one another had changed so much. That was when a loud alarm went off in the building.
"What's that?!" Jordan asked looking around quickly.

"It means there's trouble." Charles said bluntly looking at them.

"Where's the Avengers?" Jacob asked.

"Don't you get it?" James looked at them, "We Are the Avengers, it's now our job to protect the world."

"Well then...let's go kick some ass." Roger smirked grabbing his bow. The others nodded and began to walk out the building with a new found confidence they had been given from the thought of being superheroes.
