I felt something cool and refreshing entering my mouth.

This was just what I needed. Something to douse the raging fire up my throat.

I opened my mouth, wanting more of this elixir. The soothing lapping waves of water dribbled down my throat, my headache slowly disappeared.

Then I fell into another deep sleep.

(( Mabel's POV ))

It has been a day, but he isn't back yet. I couldn't fall asleep the whole night, foolishly waiting for him, just like he promised.

I thought he had lied to me and stayed there partying away but, as the hours crept by, my burst of anger seeped away, and worry took its place.

It was already 2pm. There would be school tomorrow and all, even for a first party, or someone like Bill, he wouldn't deliberately stay out till this late.

I decided to go pay them a visit. I knew about the place, Bill told me.

I recalled him laughing and saying, "If I kill myself somehow, you can come collect me."

Bill, I just hope you never died, this can't end that quickly.

When I awoke, I felt much better, just drowsy.

There was a figure next to me, and when she saw me, she spoke.

I thought she was Shooting Star.

"Star..." The word escaped from my lips.

The person frowned her burrows in confusion.

"Bill, I'm not Star, who is Star?"

Isn't this the melodic voice I heard in my dream? Was I dreaming? Am I still dreaming?

"I am Bridgette, do you remember me?"

Bridgette.

Isn't she the girl who's always sucking up to Benjamin?

I was too tired to speak or reply to those irrelevant stuff, all I wanted to know I was one thing.

"Where's Star?"

"Who's Star?" She asked back.

"Mabel, where is she?"

"Is Mabel someone in our school?" She asked again.

I had no energy to speak or reply to her questions, and closed my eyes again, shutting away the drowsiness. I would find her once I'm much more awake.

I tracked on the muddy footpath littered with footprints, hearing the disgusting squishing sound beneath my feet.

My heartbeat got louder in my ribcage as I approached nearer.

The place was really messy.

Empty cups, bags of chips, puddles of water, and an open door.

The place looked quite empty, which was not surprising. It was already afternoon.

The door was ajar and I just welcomed myself in. I wish I never did. I wish I had just turned behind and ran back home.

But I didn't.

And this is the price I have to pay.

As I took quiet nimble steps, I was met with a sight that made me collapse in shock.

On the couch in the living room, lay two people. One shirtless, other with long, brown curls and a heart scheming enough to lay her hands on him.

The shirt on the floor must belong to the shirtless person. And she was touching his bare chest. Not just normally, but affectionately. Her finger traced his chest as she looked at him with an expression I couldn't read.

Is this really him? Bill? What is that girl doing to you?

I collapsed, and when I did, there was a loud thud that must have startled that girl. Her hand finally left his chest, and she turned back, and stared at me.

In shock, I didn't know how to react.
My first natural instinct was to escape. So I ran.

That girl must've been calling me, but who cares about her.

I will remember this girl. The one with long brown curls. The evil one.

When I finally stopped running, I was already halfway home. My heart beating furiously, and myself feeling as agitated.

I decided to go home and wait for Bill.

Erase this memory, Mabel. I'm sure Bill doesn't know what's happening.
