( Bill's POV )
And there's also something I didn't get about school.
What's with all the flirting? And segregation between everyone? Why couldn't everyone hang out like together? It feels so weird.
The cheerleader gang was walking towards this table. Some of the guys whistled.
Flirting again.
As one of the girls I remember as Bridgette arrived, she set her eyes on me first and waved.
I blinked.
I barely knew her, what's with this?
"Hi." She said, eyes still on me.
"Hi." I replied.
I realised my answer was the most boring, because the others kind of said other stuff.
She proceeded to sit on Benjamin's lap. With her petite size and her small legs, I wasn't surprised he didn't fall. Her legs were really thin, I realised, as I stared blankly at her. Her legs were like sticks, they looked as fragile as a tree branch against a snowstorm. It looked really unnatural.
Mabel was better. She's thin, but in a nice and much more natural way.
I looked up and caught her eyes. We met each other's gaze for a moment and she looked away instantly. I blinked, dismissing it off and went into the conversation.
"Guys! Do you wanna hang out at my house this weekend? My parents aren't home!"
"A party?" someone asked.
"Yes a party!" the guy replied, rolling his eyes.
"Who is invited?" someone else asked.
"Well, everyone on this table is invited then!" the hockey jock whose name I wasn't really sure declared, with his hands outstretched.
"Even me?" I blurted.
A few looked at me, including the guy I didn't know.
"Yeah sure!" he gave me a approving nod, "I might not know you for whatever reason, but we will get to know each other better soon, I believe."
He winked and a few boys laughed. I laughed a little, now feeling more awkward than ever.
I barely knew him, what's with this?
