Never lose hope

We were going through a struggling time in our lives. It was difficult times being in financial crisis. It wasn't easy to pay the bills when only one partner was working and the inflation kept increasing. My son was 2.5 years old and I had decided that since the recession effects were finally fading away, I should start looking for a job. But Allah had planned differently.

The week I was about to apply for a job. I found out I was pregnant.

I was upset. I had planned to start work. But now no one would employ me. My husband reassured me that all will work out. Through the nine months, my husband got a slight salary rise. I was happy Alhumdulilah. It was better than nothing. We were also able to afford a small car then. Otherwise, until then we were only using public transport. And by the time, Aliza was born my husband was able to sell the small car and buy a bigger car. My princess came home in her father's big car.

After giving birth, I went to my parents in Saudi to spend Ramadan and Eid with them. There on the eve of Eid, my brother asked, his Saudi boss had a writing assignment if I was interested in writing it. He knew that I was fairly good in writing. He even persuaded me the boss was ready to pay anything. Laughingly, I took up that assignment.

That was the start of my writing career. I worked hard since then with many times Aliza a few months baby at that time, laying on my lap and I would type away words on my laptop. She was my patient baby, never disturbing her mother as I worked hard. My determination to come out of the crisis did pay off Alhumdulilah. After few months when finally we had paid our debts. We started planning for our future.

Aliza has been a blessing to me.

She was a blessing in disguise when I found out about her.

Many times we think something is not good for us but Allah knows best.

Verily, man is impatient and Allah is the best planner.
