Wednesday.
Here comes another day.
I decided to go in the afternoon after visiting a few tourists spots and taking photos. Considering that I was a photographer, it would be nice to explore a little while. I can just grab lunch in the restaurant later. This was also the first time I've traveled to another country so I had to look up some of the locations and take a cab.
I wasn't going to risk myself consuming time in trying to find where I was supposed to go. Though, it took me a while to go to every place on the list, most of them including tourists spots in Seoul such as the Namsan Tower, Bukchon Hanok Village, and the Gyeongbokgung Palace. There was still a lot written down on my list but I decided that I have time tomorrow. Strapping my camera and putting my phone in my bag, I made a note to myself that I'd finish half today and continue to travel tomorrow.
So I finally went to the restaurant at 4 in the afternoon.
There were a few customers but not as busy as the others. I was guessing that it was because most of them were early and the restaurants were busier in the morning due to rush hour and afternoon lunches. Minho's eyes widened as soon as I walked inside and sat at another table. After tending to a few customers, he then approached me.
"Didn't expect to see you here again. Especially with a huge camera hanging on your neck," Minho commented as his attention went towards the gadget. I only smiled at this as I decided to take and look at the menu he soon handed to me. When it was suddenly silent and all we heard are the chit-chats of the customers, I then heard him continue.
"Surely you're not a journalist, are you?" he then asked me. The journalist was not really what I'd call myself. But I did try to become one - only to result in doing something else. Taking out a small notebook, I only shook my head to disagree with Minho.
"Well, I'm not really sure you'd call me a journalist. I write travel blogs," I replied with a shrug. He then puts his hand under his chin.
"Still, you'd call that a journalist. Unless you own your work, that is." Knowing that he was still curious, I decided to tell him that I do have my own website for it. I wasn't really up to working with other people under pressure deadlines. I'd like to make my own pace as I go.
Minho smiled at this before nodding. "Travel blogger seems to be the right term, then."
Not wanting to delay him any further, I told him I'd order the same one I'd gotten the first time I went here. "I'd like to order a Bulgogi and a Spicy Grilled Chicken. Maybe throw in some coca-cola?"
He then started jotting down the orders in the notepad before heading straight back into the kitchen. I looked around the restaurant, trying to see if there were changes made. So far, the only thing I saw that wasn't here before was the pack of lunchboxes on the counter.
I'm pretty sure someone gave that to him. It's impossible for him to pack his own cooking? He'd serve that on a plate instead or stored in the kitchen.
When Minho came back with my order, I decided to ask a bit.
"What's that?" I tried to pretend I just noticed it now and Minho's gaze went to turn around to see where I was looking.
He grinned at this and replied. "Ah, Daewon hyung made that for me. Said that he'd come by later."
"And look who suddenly shows up," Minho mumbled under his breath as we both heard the door opening. There stood Daewon with a small bag in his hand. He was wearing a white T-shirt underneath, a blue denim jacket, black aviator glasses hanging on the collar of the shirt, and wore blue ripped jeans.
When he saw both of us, he only sighed and decided to walk towards us before putting the small bag on the vacant seat. "I didn't know Dara would be here. Are you here to look at Minho's pantry?"
I shook my head no at this. "No, actually I was about to talk to Minho regarding Yohan's choice."
"Why? Did something happen?" Minho asked as Daewon decided to interfere and explained it himself instead.
"His realm acted up. He's thinking whether to stay in your realm or Shin's. Maybe mine, depending on his decision," Daewon replied before he continued.
"Up until now, I feel like he already decided but not really talking to it about us. We might just have to prepare our realms just in case." Minho put his hands on his waist, nodding in understanding.
"I'm guessing it's the house. I guess we'll have to fix it next time. We'll let Yohan decide fully and let him open it up instead of asking him. We don't want to pressure him."
Daewon agreed to this before looking over the counter. "You haven't eaten yet?"
"Oh? Busy earlier. There were a lot of customers. It did cease a little bit in the afternoon," he answered before going to the kitchen.
Since I was in the corner as usual and near the windows, there weren't single seats. Instead, it was a restaurant booth with long seats for at least four to six customers. This probably gave Daewon the idea to ask if it's okay to eat at the same table as me. I only nodded. To be honest, he didn't really have to since they're the owners but I'm guessing he didn't want to ignore if I'd be comfortable with the idea.
As soon as Minho finally got the packs, they sat down right across me and I silently munched on my lunch - not saying a single word. Looking at the meal that I saw on Minho's box, it was a portion of pork belly, some kimchi, and a grilled chicken breast.
It didn't take long for me to see how Daewon was smiling though as soon as Minho had tried it. I only smiled at how nice their friendship was. I guess this five really do have a strong connection with each other.
But why would the realm act up like that?
