Your a poor village girl. You had a village sweetheart of course. And he wasn't content to be another farmer or miner, so after putting a bun in your oven, he joins a mercenary company and goes off to foreign lands for gold and glory.

A long time goes by, with coarse communication from your beau. You go from a young flower into a still quite beautiful adult woman. Your son grows into a fine young man.

Then your live returns. He became a mercenary general, seeing years of fighting. He's been awarded lands in the place he was fighting, and wants to take you and your son there.

So now you have to negotiate being reunited with your husband, going to a whole new land and way of life after being a poor farmer in your same village your whole life, and to top it off- the fact he had married an employers young daughter
