//Idea number one//

Let me know if you like it and I'll consider writing it.

Kind of like a very long blurb......

Trust me, I can do a lot better.

It was a dark yet cloudless sky, in which the stars danced like they were being reflected in water. The moon cast its' dull light onto the face of a person below. A girl was leaning against the window panel, the right side of her face pressed against the cool glass.

Her consciousness told her to go to sleep, that she had to prepare for school tomorrow, yet her eyes were wide, casting across the night sky, waiting, wishing for there to be a shooting star. But the stars only glimmered coldly, not responding. Just small balls of gas floating in an emotionless void.

The girl sighed, taking out her notebook. It was a small, leather-bound bullet journal that her uncle had gifted to her, for 'keeping all of her ideas in one place'. It was a heartfelt gesture, and, even though she didn't particularly like the idea of spilling her secrets into a book that anyone could read, she'd kept it. Now, on this beautiful, clear night, she took out her ink pen, opened the first page, and put the tip down to the slightly yellowed parchment. The dark blue ink glid across the page smoothly, speaking of stories just waiting to be told.

Hello, there.

It is tonight, in these clear hours of darkness, that I write this note to you.

Greetings to you, fair writer.

The sky is beautiful tonight, isn't it?

It is indeed...

Who are you?

I? Oh, I'm honoured to be asked of my name, though I am afraid that I cannot tell you who I am.

Why are you here? In my notebook?

Oh, I believe that you know the reason. I am an Ascendant. My duty is to guide a human through life, until they reach a certain moment.

But then, why are you talking to me?

A close bond evolved from that clear night. Spending nights of talking with eachother through the pages of an old notebook, exchanging stories, sharing knowledge.

Kieran, he'd told her. He was an Ascendant, a spirit restrained to the earth that had chosen to join the Archangels on their quest for freedom and redemption.

He had chosen the path of a Reaper, a death spirit, whose duty it was to warn of passing and follow people with a dark fate, trying to bring them off their chosen path. If Reapers didn't succeed, their souls would never find clarity, thus remaining bound to the earth for eternity.
