She called my name from the woods

I heard it from my window three stores up

But i didnt say nothing back i never did I just layed there in my bed listening intently to her

I heard her footsteps coming towards my house i heard the knocks but I didn't know how to answer it

I heard her calling out for help but I didn't hear it

I'm just a deaf dog after all I just layed there sleeping
