Chapter Four: Luke

Luke was mad.

No, Luke was furious.

He was furious that his little brother had been hurting, that he had almost killed himself, and he hadn't known. He hadn't noticed that Percy was so depressed. He hadn't noticed that Percy was spending less and less time with them. He hadn't noticed that they were drifting farther and farther apart.

And it had almost cost his little brother his life.

Except his little brother had been saved by her. Percy's soul mate had saved him. And when Percy told Luke about what had happened, never once looking up from the floor and rubbing the back of his neck the whole time, Luke had almost cried. As it was, he had snatched Percy up in a vicious hug, promising to never let him hurt like that again. When Percy said that he was going to meet his soul mate at the beach in Montauk in two days, Luke had obviously asked if he could come along.

Percy had laughed, his first real laugh in forever Luke thought, and said, "No. I want to meet her alone." But Percy had promised to set up a meeting with all of his friends and his soul mate and all of her friends.

Sure enough, when he came back from his meeting with his soul mate, he said, "She beat me too it. She asked if I wanted to bring all of my friends  to come meet all of hers at her place in a few days."

Everyone said yes and rushed to give him a hug, resulting in Percy being the bottom of a large dogpile on the floor. They had all laughed and smiled, happy that Percy was happy.

Now, as they were all standing clumped together within the elevator, Luke felt nervous.

Because he knew that his soul mate would be on the other side of the door when they got there.

He could feel that she felt him and that she knew that he felt her too. He knew that she was nervous and worried as well.

The elevator dinged and the doors opened. Percy was the first to step out. Luke followed close behind. They walked down the hall, Percy muttering the room number under his breath, "O159, O159, O159," Luke placed a hand on his shoulder. Percy stopped and looked back at him.

"It'll be alright, Perce." Luke said softly. Percy took a deep breath and close his eyes. Opening them, he gave a small smile.

"She's nervous too. I can feel her pacing and she's wondering if her friends will like me." Luke gave a small laugh.

"Of course they'll like you. They'll like you because she loves you. And they'll like you because you," Luke poked a finger into Percy's chest. "Are likeable." Percy's smile grew bigger and he became less tense.

"Okay. But try convincing her of that." They both laughed and continued down the hallway.  When they reached the Percy raised his hand to knock, but was hesitant, scared to do it. He turned to look at Luke, fear in his eyes. Luke nodded encouragingly and gave him a thumbs up. Percy took a deep breath and knocked. After a moment passed, the door inched open and a girl with curly blond hair and striking grey eyes poked her head out. Those stormy grey eyes locked on Percy and a smile grey on her face. Percy chuckled and smiled back. Luke smiled at them, happy to see his little brother so happy.

"Hi, Percy." Her voice was melodic and kind. Then she turned to everyone else gathered outside her door and surveyed them. Finally, she stuck out her hand to Luke. "I'm Annabeth. You must be Luke. Percy told me about you when we were at Montauk." Luke nodded and shook her hand.

"Nice to meet you, Annabeth." He said.

"Alright. I'm going to call you all in one by one, okay? So, real quick, I need names." Annabeth stated.

"I'm Will." He was the first to introduce himself. Annabeth looked over at him and studied his face. Then she nodded and waited for someone else to introduce themselves.

Calypso went next. "I'm Calypso." She said. Annabeth smiled at her and nodded.

"I'm Frank." Annabeth smiled and nodded kindly at the big guy.

"I'm Conner."

"And I'm Travis." The two brothers introduced themselves and then spoke in unison.

"And we're not twins." Annabeth stifled a laugh and nodded again.

"I'm Jason." Annabeth studied the boy, and Luke noticed how the other blond shrunk away from her inquiring gaze.

Finally Annabeth tore her gaze away and looked around the whole group once more.

"Alright. Percy, you're coming in with me first." She said and drew her back into the room before opening the door wider for him to step through.

Luke, cranes his neck, trying to get a glimpse inside of the room. He heard Annabeth's voice but could see anything. "Everyone, this Percy. My soul mate."

He heard footsteps and then a voice. A voice that made his heart flutter. "Nice to meet you, Percy. I'm Thalia." That must be my soul mate. Luke thought.

"Nice to meet you too, Thalia." Luke heard his little brother respond. Annabeth poked her head out and motioned for Luke to come in. He quickly strode into the room, searching for the owner of that voice. He spotted her and immediatly made his way over, grabbing one of her hands in both of his.

She had short, choppy black hair was dyed an electric blue at the ends. Her eyes were even more electric blue than her hair. "I'm Luke. And you must be my soul mate." He said. She smiled.

"Yes, I do believe that I am. My name is Thalia." Luke smiled. And out of the corner of his eye, he saw Percy trying to beckon someone out of the shadows of a corner.

The next person that Annabeth beckoned into the apartment was Will. His eyes went straight to the boy that Percy had been trying to coax out of the corner. The boy was dressed in black, making him nearly disappear into the shadows of the wall, but he pushed himself away from the wall and walked toward Will.

He had shaggy black hair and dark brown eyes, so dark a brown, that they looked black, while his skin was pale and milky.

"Hello. My name is Nico di Angelo. You must be my soul mate." He said, sticking out his hand. Will smiled brightly and took Nico's hand.

"My name is Will Solace. And you, Nico di Angelo, look very handsome." Will pulled Nico in for a kiss and Luke snickered at the look on Nico's face. Then the dark-eyed boy closed his eyes and leaned into Will, kissing back.

After the wolf-whistling and all the whooping and gone silent, Annabeth brought in Calypso. As soon as she stepped through the door, her eyes scanned the room, quickly landing on a scrawny Latino boy with brown eyes, short, curly black hair, and elfish ears. She walked up to him and sat down in his lap.

"I'm Calypso. And you're mine." She said and wrapped her arms around the scrawny boy's shoulders.

"I'm Leo. And I think that you meant that you're mine." He shot back, wrapping his arms around her. They both smiled Luke's own grin grew wider. He was holding his soul mate's hand as he watched everyone meet theirs.

Frank walked into the room next and smiled shyly. He waved as he walked and stumbled slightly. A young girl with carmel skin, chocolate brown hair that hung in long curls, and eyes that seemed to be made of liquid gold rushed forward and put a hand on his arm.

"Are you alright?" She asked him.

"Yeah." Frank said slowly, reaching up to rub the back of his neck as his face turned red with a strong blush. "It happens a lot. Don't worry." The girl beamed and threw her arms around him.

"I'm Hazel." She said. "And it's nice to meet you." Frank smiled.

"I'm Frank. And it's nice to meet you too, Hazel." He picked her up and carried her over to the other stool next to another girl with kaleidoscope eyes and choppy brown hair. He sat down and Hazel sat on his lap. They were both smiling and holding hands with each other. Luke thought they looked adorable together.

Next, Conner and Travis bust through the door.

"I'm Connor!" Conner said.

"I'm Travis!" Travis said.

"And we're not twins." They said in unison.

"I'm older." Travis said, then walked over to a girl with forest green eyes and dirt brown hair and bowed. "You must be the beautiful young lady who has shared my feelings for a few years now." She giggled and nodded.

"I'm Katie." She said. Connor walked up to a girl with eyes a shade of spring green and hair the color of mud and did the same. The girl with kaleidoscope eyes was looking anxiously at the door and shifting uncomfortably in her seat. Thalia let go of Luke's hand and walked over to her.

"Hey, he's just the last one to get through the door. He'll be in here in just a sec." Luke heard her reassur her friend. Just then, Jason walked though the door. Thalia gasped and her hand flew to her mouth. She walked slowly toward the him, to where he had frozen two steps inside of the doorway, the broad smile slipping from his face to instead be filled with shock. Thalia's eyes filled with tears and she reached up to put a hand on his cheek. Luke was confused. He was sure from the looks in the others faces that they were as well.

"Jason," she whispered. He nodded, tears in his eyes as well.

"Thalia?" Jason whispered. Thalia let out a choked sob and nodded, throwing her arms around him and burying her head in his shoulder as she cried. Luke watched Jaaon wrap his arms around her as well as burying his head in her shoulder as he began to cry as well.

Annabeth walked over to the hugging people and placed her hand gently on Thalia's back. "Thalia?" Annabeth asked. Thalia looked back at Jason and smiled through her tears.

"Th-this is Jason. He's my little brother. Our mother was a biscuit eater and did something stupid. He disappeared when he was two and she had already been abusive and an alcoholic. After she did spit with Jason, it was the last straw. I ran away. That's when I found Annabeth, when I found you." Thalia explained. Annabeth nodded and smiled

The girl with kaleidoscope eyes, choppy brown hair, and a surfer's tan walked up behind Annabeth and the blonde backed away. "You're very handsome, Jason. I'm Piper." She said, smiling brilliantly. Jason pulled away from Thalia and stared at the beautiful girl.

"You have stunning eyes." He said, walking over and standing in front of her.

Thalia walked back to Luke's side and he slung an arm around her waist, happy to stand there with her and see everyone else happily together with their soul mates. Everyone smiling.

But what he didn't know, was how quickly that those smiles would fade.

A/N Word Count: 1888

Hello!

Well, that didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would.

Though, that makes sense because I literally copied and pasted most of the previous chapter and then rewrote parts to fit Luke's p.o.v.

Is that cheating?

I just wanted to make sure that the same events happened in this chapter as in the last chapter. Because I find it really annoying when what happened in the last chapter, isn't what happens in the next chapter, or isn't what is mentioned as what happened in later chapters.

So yeah.

Anyways, as always, this whole book is dedicated to the amazing writergirl1255 for getting me to write it in the first place!!!

Hope you guys liked it!

In other news, I want you guys to tell me what you want me to update next:
