《Part 8》

"But, it... wasn't your fault." Lucia said nervously, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Why do you say that?" I asked. "If I was in your position, she probably still would've died since I have no upper body strength." Noemi added. "Exactly, if I was stronger, I could've saved her!" I cried.

"But, it's not your fault." Lucia said those words again, this time more confident then ever. "You didn't know she was going to get hurt. You didn't know that she was going to fall out of the tree." She said firmly. "You are not responsible for her or Cody's death." Noemi smiled at me.

'Their deaths feel like a dream. I can't believe they're really dead... no that's not true. At least Sonia is alive, right? What else could it be?'

"Wait... you said that Sonia killed Cody, right? If she's dead how did she..." Noemi said my thoughts out loud.

"I don't know and I really don't understand. There was no way she would've survived especially since she fell onto her head." I sighed. "Maybe it was her ghost?" Lucia wondered. "Yeah but I don't think ghosts can strangle people." I said. "True, true." Noemi spoke. "Then, what else could it be?" Lucia thought.  "I don't know. My brain can't comprehend it. Maybe we could ask David? I mean he could have a theory..." I sighed.

'Though David could have a theory for what was going on, he didn't seem like he was in the best state of mind at the moment. Maybe we shouldn't bother him.'

"Well, right now Eric and the others are talking to him and I don't really want to interrupt their conversation." Noemi said. "Yeah, maybe we should wait until they're done or until David is in a better condition?" Lucia agreed. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea."

"David, answer now." Eric stated. "Yeah, no more avoiding it." Tobias sighed. "Ummm..." I stood still, not being able to respond. Pain surged throughout my body, I began to feel lightheaded from blood loss.

'Why am I avoiding you? I... I-I... I can't answer that. I don't know HOW to answer that. I feel trapped right now; I feel as if my surroundings are closing in on me. It's like time has stopped or at least slowed. Everything feels so stiff and static.'

"Hey, are you okay?" Felix turned to me. I couldn't even respond to that before I felt myself go limp.
