I cried out in tears and looked around for Sonia. I saw her green eyes glow in the darkness as she came closer to where I was with Cody in my arms. "I was going to let him go because I thought that he was just a lost little boy that just happened to come across our fight." She smiled menacingly at me.

"But then he started begging for me to let you go. Once he said that, I knew he was your friend. So, instead of killing you, I killed him in your place. You killed your friend, Maria." She smirked and walked away into the shadows just as the ambulance arrived. I looked around to see no one in sight.

I was sitting in my room reading comics when I saw a text from my mom pop up. My eyes scanned the text over and over again but my brain couldn't process the words.

"Your friend Cody is dead. He was stabbed multiple times and the ambulance didn't make it in time."

I began laughing as if I were slowly going insane.

'This day has gone to shit. First we fight then this happens. When will you end my suffering? How much more do I have to go through? I'm always the person to bring the group back together but, what if I'm not able to? What if I'm just not good enough?'

My mom sent me her location so I could come see Cody one last time. I grabbed my coat and my shoes in a rush and began speeding down the road until I was at a nice bridge. I froze in place. This was the place where David tried to commit suicide. I thought as I looked over the edge...

Once I saw the text from Tobi that Cody was dead, I couldn't believe it. My best bro wasn't going to be spending time with us anymore.

'We can't hangout at my house and watch TV together anymore. In class, I wouldn't be able to talk to him and get in trouble for talking to him. Yeah, I bet I annoyed him sometimes but, I'm also his best bro. Now, our happy memories die with him.'

I grabbed my stuff and ran to the forest. As I ran, I came across a bridge and saw a bracelet on the ground. I picked it up and looked at it closely. For some reason, the bracelet looked familiar but, I couldn't tell from where.

I looked over the edge to see Tobi laying on a rock with blood all around him. I instantly went down there to see if he was okay.

Once down there, I ran across the rushing  water of the river and got to the rock. I immediately checked his pulse and his breathing. Luckily, he wasn't dead but, I still needed to call an ambulance for him.
