《Part 3》

David felt immense pain. Maybe it was from all the blood loss and cuts or maybe it was because he avoided his problems. The real reason why David wanted to go home though was because he had a theory of what could be happening to him and he wanted to confirm it in one of his books. "Ah, here it is a-"

"Astral Projection!" Maria exclaimed excitedly to the group while sitting in the forest. "What are we even talking about?" Felix sighed. He couldn't keep up with the flow of conversation. "What do you mean? We talked about this after David left." I wondered why Felix didn't listen to us. It made me feel as if he didn't really care.

"Lucia, He doesn't know because he was too busy on his phone being antisocial." Noemi said to me. "Yeah, what were you doing Felix? What could've possibly been so interesting that you ignored us?" Eric pondered. "I was texting someone." Felix said with a blank face.

'Stop lying.' I thought but, I wouldn't dare say it aloud.

"Anyways, we're talking about how David could have gotten those cuts! I think it's astral projection but there's a bit of a flaw... if he had astral projection then he wouldn't have been able to get hurt. Unless of course that's wrong too-" Maria rambled on and on but Felix couldn't comprehend since he didn't know what astral projection was. "Huh, what's astral projection?"

"It is a 'term used in esotericism to describe a willful out-of-body experience that assumes the existence of a soul or consciousness called an "astral body" that is separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it throughout the universe' (Wikipedia). So, back to what I was talking about... It could be it, didn't you say that David was sleeping in class and when you went to go wake him up he had blood on his shirt?"

"Yeah, that's correct. Your theory does make sense I guess." Tobias thought about it for a bit. "Come on, guys. You really believe that? What if he just had those cuts before and they slowly started to heal until he got stressed out and they reopened? You know that's possible too. It's also possible that he did that to himself. Just use common sense. The explanation doesn't have to be supernatural or whatever, ya know. Maybe we're looking too much into this simple explanation." Felix's speech confused some of them, mostly because they hadn't been listening the whole time.

"Yeah, but what if it was something supernatural?" Maria's eyes lit up. "Great, now you're also getting caught up in David's delusions." Felix sighed. "Huh? How do you know supernatural stuff isn't real?" Noemi stepped in, protecting Maria from Felix's attitude. "Cause there's no proof. If there was proof wouldn't more people know?" The black haired boy shot back.

"But, there's no proof in heaven, reincarnation, or the afterlife either but people still believe in that." The girl wouldn't let Felix have his way.
"Well, maybe their insane too." He said without thinking. I shifted uncomfortably by the fighting and Eric saw this. "Guys, we should stop arguing. Pleas-" He was interrupted by the two. "STAY OUT OF IT, ERIC!" The two kept bickering "So, you're calling everyone who believes in something insane!? You know how crazy that sounds!? You're basically calling everyone a dumbass! What about you, huh!? You gonna call yourself a dumbass too!?" Noemi growled; her anger suddenly rising.

"No! Who says I believe in that kinda stuff anyways!?" Felix began stormed off. "Where are you going?" Tobias asked. "None of you're business!" We saw him leave in the distance. "Noemi, you didn't have to do that.." Maria said with her head low and eyes focused on the ground beneath her.

"Yeah, I did. I had to protect you." She sighed. "Yeah, but... you didn't have to go that far. Also, I could've handled it myself. Do you think I'm not capable of standing up for myself?" Maria started to tear up. "I can handle my own problems." And with that Maria left us too so there was only five left...

'Why can't we all just get along? Is fighting really necessary?' Those were the words I was too nervous to say. Maybe if I had said those words, it could've stopped the tragedy that was yet to fall upon us.
