Nolla was awake 30 minutes before actually opening her golden eyes. The reason she opened her eyes was simple. Kate, was in trouble, no not danger, trouble. Let me explain, Nolla was famous for her having favorites, an example being, Nolla's favorite zoo keeper, Kate. Nolla's favorite snack, chocolate, which was never allowed in the zoo. Most adults knew it was for the health of the animals, but all the children believed it was because chocolate was fun, and fun was the thing the head zoo keeper, Maria, disliked some people even believed she hated all things fun. Back in the present time, Kate was yelled at for her "crimes" Nolla's moved as fast as she ever has, to the edge of her habitat, watching Maria's every move. Kate saw Nolla and gave her a thumbs up, and Nolla knew this meant "calm down, everything's okay" So Nolla lowered her guard, but stayed alert. Then it happened, The Foot Clan attacked. Cages opened, freeing all animals, gun shots could be heard in the distance, police cars arrived but they were to late. Nolla ran or crawled as she heard a high-pitched scream. It was Sara, she was shot in the leg. Her mother was swept away in the crowd. Kate hurried over, picked up Sara, got Nolla and they all ran.
