Kakashi sighed, waiting quietly outside the hospital room, as much as he hated hospital he just couldn't stay away. He had let rai go home to clam down and rest. The old man seemed to be traumatised by the scene. Kakashi's shoulder bled out slowly, the bullet had grazed his shoulder but he honestly did care if he was bleeding out badly. He cared more about Sakura and if she was going to survive of not.. Kakashi sighed, trying to keep calm. Gripping his hair he stared down at the ground.. Ignoring the block that dripped from his elbows onto the clean floor. His jaw clenched as he waited impatiently, he could feel other patients and civilians eyes on him. He tried to keep his composure but the sheer scare he got from seeing Sakura on the floor with a bullet in the chest scared him to death, luckily for him he managed to get out of his shocked state quickly and helped her straight away.. If he had done the shooting he wouldn't of been able to move for hours.. Sighing he suddenly felt a hand move to his injured shoulder making him lash out and grab out his pocket knife, the blade flipped up it was clear he was defending himself, he always did after he was injured, he never let anyone touch the wound.. Never.. Unless he knew it was someone who could treat it properly. Not like he does. He'd stitch it up himself and just deal with the pain until it healed it self, but with a gash from the bullet that bad he'd need professional help. Kakashi stared at the one who touched his should..
"Relax Kakashi, geez" rin said sighing,
"What happened to you?" She asked, Kakashi ignored her, flipping the knife down and putting it back in his pocket, his hand griping it tightly.
"Nothing just got shot" he said simply, getting up when the doctor came up to him..
"She's stable for now, luckily the bullet didn't hit the heart" the doctor said seriously, Kakashi nodded, "if it wasn't for you she would of died within minutes" The doctor said patting kakashi's back as he walked past, Kakashi blinked and looked back.,
"I thought I knew you from some where" Kakashi said sighing looking back at the doctor with a slight smirk, the doctor then grabbed a clip board and signalled Kakashi into sakura's room, leaving run outside.
"It's been a while Kakashi"
"you think? I haven't seen you in months, thought you were killed off by the other group" Kakashi muttered looking to Sakura. Who was hooked up to life support..  Though she was breathing on her own the heart monitor was beeping steadily.
"I left the group in order to save more lives, you assassins never got hurt so there really wasn't anything in it for me, this job is much more rewarding" Kakashi nodded "now take off that shirt of yours and let me look at that shoulder already!" Kakashi smirked
"Your the man Kuro" Kakashi muttered taking off his shirt revealing the large wolf tattoo and symbol on his arms.
"You wear those tattoos with pride don't ya?"
"somewhat" Kakashi muttered as kuro began to inspect kakashi's shoulder, Kakashi watched Sakura from where he sat..
"Seriously though, you saved her life Kakashi"
"I know.." Kakashi smirked "weird we assassins kill, take life's. Now here I am after saving one" he muttered softly "I couldn't let her die though" Kakashi whispered,
"What makes you say that?" Kuro asked, grabbing the needed materials, kuro then began to stitch up kakashi's shoulder, taking care not to tear the skin.
"Why else would an assassin say they can't let someone die?" Kakashi asked, kuro oh'ed and nodded
"I see" he says quietly, "so she knows that your"
"She does now" Kakashi whispers, watching her as she shifted in the bed slightly, her nose scrunching up making him smile slightly. Kuro then nicked kakashi's shoulder making the hatake look back and growl, only to go quiet when he saw kuro smiling at him.
"You love her don't you?" Kakashi huffed,
"I don't know how many times I've said that today, and yeah. I do for once I'm not afraid to admit it" Kakashi muttered
"Even after what that bitch did to you?" Kuro asked, glancing outside. Kakashi nodded
"yeah, I don't care about that bitch anymore, I really don't. I got over her the moment she got together with my best friend, showed that she's a player" Kakashi grumbled, kuro nodded, ruffling kakashi's hair
"Yeah well that just gives you an even better reason to keep that one alive huh lover boy?" Kakashi glared at kuro but smirked
"geez you just like obito sometimes" Kakashi grumbled getting up.
"Hey! I have to bandage that thing first so get your ass back down here" Kuro said his arms crossed
"Why should I listen to you?"
"You might be an assassin but I'm your doctor, I could take her off life support if I wanted to You know, don't push me" Kuro threatened, Kakashi growled and sat back down
"Don't use her to get to me"  Kakashi growled,
"Sorry alright, but if the other group finds out the anbu's best assassin has a weakness they'll go after you. They'll more likely think they'll break you if they kill her first" Kakashi sighed
"I know that" Kakashi grumbled as he lifted his arm horizontally making it easier for kuro to wrap up his shoulder. After making sure the bandages where secure kuro sighed
"There you can get up now. Just take it easy would you?" Kakashi nodded and smirked as he got up and went to sakura's bedside. Moving her hair from her face he watched her quietly.. She was so lucky that she was alive.. So lucky.. He felt guilt begin to start building up as he looked at her.. Shaking his head he sat beside he on a chair and sighed, pulling the chair close he run his thumb against the top of his hand.. Sighing he rested his head on his arms and watched her quietly, watching her chest rise and fall with her breathing
"Your so troublesome Sakura" he whispered, sighing he sat up and Brough her had to his lips, kissing her hand gently..
"I'll protect you from now on.. This is the last time I let you get hurt..."
