"Shall the law of land apply, I hunt him away."

Are they kidding me? No one has told me that I'd meet him today. They also didn't tell me about his interest in freaking me out already. He wouldn't stop touching my roses. "They're beautiful." God, I already hate his charming smile. Do people really fall for this? He looks like the typically young royal who all the women fall for. Is it too early to say that I hate him? If he keeps on touching my flowers, I'll.. Okay, calm down, Scar.

I can already feel the lightnings building up in my hands which means that I need to stop overthinking. Stil.. how could no one tell me that he arrives so early? I've been here for two days and am expected to talk to my soon to be plus against me will husband? Ugh.

"And private. These are my personal flowers and I'd be glad if you stopped touching them", I reply sharply. "Excuse me, princess", he apologizes softly. He won't drop his damn smile. We're going to marry anyways so why act this formal around one another? None of us planned this wedding, well I hope he didn't, so we don't need to pretend that we like each other or this plan.

"As we're going to spend some time together, even if it's forced", I sigh and reach out my hand to him, "The name's Scar and I don't like when people get too close to me for too long." Alexander chuckles but he won't drop his smile. Isn't it painful to tense muscles this long? "I'm aware of some facts about you such as this one. Saul has been one of my guides when I participated in the soldier's program."

Now I'm the one who looks surprised at him. He knows Saul? But he can't know about me. Saul would never talk to his students about me. "Queen Luna and princess Stella are also acquaintances of the Sparx' royal family. I'm sure this isn't a surprise to you." "No, it is not", I shake my head understanding where he comes from a little bit better, "I'm rather surprised that you and I are going through this unloving concept of arranged marriage. If Sparx and Eraklyon merge.. the Triad Kingdoms are going to separate."

"We will see what happens politically. Once our engagement is announced in the circle of the royal families, we're going to approach queen Luna for a negotiation", Alexander replies professionally but a smirk appears on his lips now, "As for the unloving concept.. There's no obligation for you to marry me, I hope you know this. But I'd be flattered if you chose me, princess. Also, we can also change this concept to a loving one throughout time."

Negotiations with queen Luna? Yeah, sure. She's going to bite my head off if she finds out that we're going to be a lot powerful than her. However.. after bringing back my dad and Rosalind just to take over Alfea.. she hasn't had the best reputation since. Why couldn't Stella and I merge our kingdoms instead? Stella might be annoying when chosing an outfit but apart from that, I love her to death.

That would be the true definition of a loved arrangement. I'd rather work with Stella than with this tall, suit-wearing, muscular man with a perfectly cut hairstyle. Plus, in which world does he think he lives? The first world? Of course, this is obligatory for me. "You might have forgotten that I'm the crown princess which means this arrangement is more than obligatory", I state coldly.

Change it to a loving concept.. yeah sure. As if he's here to find the love of his life. I'm pretty sure that it's only about power for him. The idea was perfect. Come here, marry me, make his kingdom the most powerful one. "I could also leave, princess", Alexander offers softly but I feel the need to throw up when his smile grows so confidently, "If you want me to leave, I'll be back in Sparx soon. But remember that this won't solve your problem. You're going to meet another candidate but I doubt that he might be better than me."

Arrogant ass. William would freak out if he could hear my thoughts. Thank god he's not a mind fairy. The royal consultant is known to be very polite and to teach the royal children the same behavior. Sky and I grew up with Saul, lucky us. "See, arranged", I add shrugging and when he giggles, I automatically smile softly. "Who knew that you're funny as well", he teases me but before I can create some distance between us, we're interrupted by Saul.

"I see, you've already met each other", he interrupts our conversation, "The chef sent me to guide you to the dining room." "Of course", Alexander nods next to me and when Saul turns around, he lays his arm on my waist gently to follow him close to me. I immediately touch his hand for him to keep it to himself. "Excuse me, princess." I ignore his apology.

"Good evening, princess", a stranger greets me by holding out his hand, "I'm Ronan, the prince's consultant." "Scar", I tell him friendly and take his hand. Mom joins us as well as William who tells us to sit down. I take a look at the huge table. Which one of the 10 seats am I supposed to take? And that's just the small table for a regular dinner.. How am I going to choose a seat when there are 20 or 30 seats?

"Princess, the head end", William whispers as he walks by me to sit down in the middle. The head end. Sure. I hate this kind of attention. "How was your journey?", William asks giving me some time to think about another topic. Politics. Yes. "It was comfortable. Also, we've stopped at some interesting stops to admire the nature. You must be a proud crown princess having all these national parks in your kingdom."

"Oh, yes, I am", I smile at him nodding, "They're amazing." "Have you visited them all yet? What's your favorite viewpoint, your Highness?" Why did he have to ask this? Last time I've visited one with dad when I was three years old and I really don't want to use my mind magic to think of dad now. It might remind me of how- "I'm sure you will show me around", Alexander intervenes, "Until then, I don't want any information before, Ronan."

I give him a thankful smile. I could tell that he saw my insecurity when his consultant spoke to me. It's not like more troubles are far away. Instead, we're given our first course and I'm struggling with the silverware. What is mind magic even good for? I sigh trying to figure out what to do. Mom's hand appears next to my plate pointing out to a certain fork. Before I can thank her, William looks at me confused. I also notice Saul's frown. I should have listened to Alani..
