Maddy POV

  I was walking with Lily when her older brother came out of nowhere and shoved her against the locker."John what are you doing let go."Lily says trying to wiggle out of his grip.
  "You'll get what you deserve for telling."he says then he punches her on the gut. She winced and cries out and I run over and try to pry him off her.It is early and we are like the only people here so I can't get help.Naomi runs in and sees John beating up Lily.
  "Get your dirty little hands off my sister."She yells grabbing his wrist and twisting it until he yelps and lets go.
  She will get what she deserves for telling.You can't always be there for her."he yells and runs down the hall.Lily collapses and Naomi and I run over to her.Lily is gasping for breath and holding her stomach.
  "We need to get her to a doctor she might be badly hurt" Naomi says picking Lily up.I nod my head because I'm crying too much to talk.We rush out of the school and find Maci in her car."Maci get the car startes asap!"Naomi yells opening the back door of the car.I jump in and help Naomi buckle Lily up.She gets in the front seat and is bombarded by questions.
  "What happened?Is she badly hurt?Do I need to go to the hospital?"
  "Hospital pronto!"Is all Naomi says and then she turns around in her seat and squeezes her sisters knee saying,"Don't worry it won"t be long."
  Maci starts driving and all you can hear is the cries of Lily trying to breath. I look up and see tears glistening in Naomi's eyes. This is all my fault, I should have put Lily behind me or something. What kind of friend am I?
   We get to the hospital and into urgent care.Naomi is still carrying Lily.As soon as we get on the hospital the lady at the desk comes out from behind the desk and rushes over.Before she says anything Naomi has told the whole story.Lily is rushed into a room and only Naomi is allowed in.Maci gets her phone out and calls someone.
  "Hello is this Naomi and Lily's mom?Yes I'm calling from the Spring Hospital.Yes ma'am Lily got beat up at school... I know that school hasn't started yet.I don't know I'm going to put my little sister on because she was there.Okay bye Mrs. Bennett."
  Maci hands me the phone and I say hello."What happened to my little girl?!"
  "Ma'am we were at school going to help tutor kids and John came out of no where. He pinned Lily to a locker and started punching her in the gut.Naomi came in and pried him off of her and then we came to the hospital."
  "Ok is Lily okay?"
  "We don't know we aren't allowed in the room only Naomi is because she's family."
  "I will be there on 30 minutes."
  "Okay bye Mrs.Bennett."
  "Bye."I turn the phone off and give it to Maci as a nurse comes out and gestures for us to come in.I run in and Naomi is crying."What happened I ask as Naomi runs onto Maci's arms.
  "She..."Naomi starts crying even more.
  "Girls,"a lady says walking in,"Lily didn't make it."
  I immediately start crying and Naomi isn't the only one in Maci's arms anymore.We are all crying and Mrs.Bennett walks in.Naomi runs to her mom and her mom says,"No not my baby girl."
  "I'm sorry ma'am," the doctor says and walks out.
  John runs in and says,"Where is she, what have I done?!"He starts crying and runs out.
