Kairo's POV

"Hmm, I like the idea."

I'm currently back at work having a meeting with a CEO of a startup company and they want me to invest in. Lagi naman kasing may gusto na gawin ako sa stockholders or investors ng kumpanya nila dahil may pera ako. Which is completely fine by me, I love the idea of having multiple incomes.

Wala naman na akong ibang goals sa buhay ko para tuparin dahil nasa akin naman na ang lahat. My bank account is already at 10 digits. Considered din ang pamilya ko sa isa sa mga richest and wealthiest families in the Philippines.

What more could I ever ask for?

May nag message sa akin kaya pasimple kong tiningnan ang aking cellphone habang nagsasalita pa rin ang CEO sa harapan ko.

I smiled by myself at nilingon naman ako nung lalaki. I cleared my throat and composed myself.

"I think I heard enough, email me the operating expenses that I will cover, I also need a business proposal and contract. After all of that, we can then negotiate." I smiled at tumango naman ang lalaki bago ayusin ang kanyang gamit to take his leave.

Hindi na siya nagreply at nakita ko nalang na tumatawag na siya. Sinagot ko ang tawag pero hindi naman siya nagsalita. "Talk. I miss your voice." I told her and I lightly heard her chuckle.

[I didn't know you were the clingy type?] She said, clearly teasing me. Valid naman na mamiss ko ang boses niya, it has almost been a week since I last saw her. Kahit naman nagtatrabaho siya sa amin bihira pa rin kami magkita dahil may trabaho pa rin siya outside our company.

"Sa'yo lang ako clingy, and you know that." I told her and she sighed. "What's wrong? May problema ba? You sound exhausted." I asked her. Sa tunog pa lang ng boses niya parang pagod eh. May nangyari ba sa kanya na hindi ko alam?

[Wala, I'm feeling a little bit homesick and I don't know why.] She answered at nagtaka naman ako. What does she mean by homesick? Nasa bahay naman siya ah?

"What do you mean? Do you miss your mom or do you miss me?" I asked innocently at tinawanan niya naman ako.

[Pwede ba both?] I bit the insides of my cheek to stop myself from smiling.

"Do you want to go back to the province to visit your Mom?" I asked her at hindi naman siya sumagot. "I can tell my Mom or excuse you from work." I offered but she was quick to deny.

[Hindi naman problema yung pag excuse sa work eh. Mahal ang gas and I don't want to go on a 4 hour drive alone by myself.] She answered and I nodded even if hindi niya ako makikita. Napaisip naman ako, I could come with her.

Well, I am the CEO of all of Eugenio's Cuisine enterprises. I can have a flexible schedule when I want to.

"I can come with you. Tomorrow is a Friday naman, I can call my secretary to move all my meetings sa Monday. Hindi mo na kailangan problemahin ang gas kasi ako na ang magdadala ng kotse." Hindi niya naman ako sinagot, the other line went silent.

[Are you sure?] She asked. [Ayaw kong magabala ka pa, Kai. Nakakahiya sa'yo.]

I scoffed, "Jordyn, if you have to go to the other side of the globe because of an emergency I'll be more than willing to take you there."

['Wag kang ganyan, Kairo. Kinikilig ako.] I laughed at her. [Okay, I'll tell Mom we'll be paying a visit tomorrow. Anong oras ba tayo aalis?]

Ang alam ko kasi sa Nueva Ecija ang probinsya nila kaya medyo malayo sa Manila. We should leave at the morning para hindi traffic 'di ba?

"We should leave in the morning, but if you still have other plans we can leave in the afternoon." I answered.

We talked about each other's days before we ended the call. Umuwi naman na ako sa bahay kasi I promised my Mom that I'll be home for dinner.

"I'm home!" I shouted after I went inside the house. "Kumusta finals, Hiara?" I asked my sister. Matalino naman din kasi si Hiara, sadyang tatamad tamad siya noong high school siya. Buti nga nakapasok siya sa isa sa mga prestigious universities.

Nagulat pa nga kami na may scholarship siya eh. She's a consistent dean's lister and I am proud of her. That Jordyn heartbreak of hers never bothered her. Parehas kami, we mourned about the break up but that didn't stop us from chasing our dreams.

"It went well, Kuya. I'm graduating in a month!" She said excitedly and I hugged her. I'm so proud of her.

While we were eating dinner, tamang panahon na mag paalam. "I'm leaving tomorrow for Nueva Ecija," I stated. Agad naman nagtaka sila Mom and Dad, napaka random nga no'n eh. I don't even know anyone from there at bigla bigla ako pupunta doon.

Nagtama naman ang tingin namin ni Luna and she already know why I'm going there.

"Bakit? Are you proposing a new branch in the province?" My Dad curiously asked at umiling naman ako.

"I'm going there because of Jordyn. I'm taking her to visit her Mom." I told them and they looked shocked at first before nodding.

"Bakit mo pa kailangan magpaalam, Kairo? You're an adult, do what you want!" My Mom said at umiling naman si Daddy.

The next day sinundo ko si Jordyn sa kanyang apartment at 10 am. May tinapos muna daw kasi siyang report sa office bago magpaalam. Nagdala lang ako ng extra clothes in case we have to spend the night in the Nueva Ecija.

"Hey gorgeous," I said as she came inside my car.

"I have no time to take compliments, Kai. I want to sleep." She said while making herself comfortable in her seat. I just chuckled before starting to drive. Masyadong mahaba ang drive, inaantok nga rin din ako eh pero bawal akong pumikit ng matagal tuwing traffic dahil baka makatulog ako bigla.

It was two hours in the drive and we stopped by a 7-11 store to buy sandwiches. Sabi kasi ni Jordyn maghahanda daw ng pagkain ang Mom niya doon sa bahay nila. I drank coffee to keep me up at napansin naman ni Jordyn na parang antok na ako.

"Ako na magdadrive, magpahinga ka muna, Kai." She told me at hindi naman ako umangal doon, pagod naman na kasi talaga ako.

The moment the car started moving again, agad akong nakatulog.

Nagising naman din ako agad nang tumigil ang kotse. I looked around and we are surrounded by a lot of trees at kaunti lang ang bahay dito sa subdivision na ito. I looked at my phone and it only has a single bar.

"Mahina signal dito, you have to go up to our rooftop to even get a proper signal." Jordyn said before getting outside of the car. Kinuha ko naman ang bag naming dalawa bago sumunod sa kanya.

It's nice being here in a province. The warm breeze hitting my face feels so relaxing. Pumasok naman na kami sa gate nila at doon na nag sink in sa akin ang lahat na makikilala ko na ang Mom niya.

Bigla akong kinabahan, sana hindi sa'kin galit ang Mom niya.

Bumukas ang pinto at bumungad ang isang magandang babae na kamukha ni Jordyn. When I thought that Tito Theo has a lot of resemblance kay Jordyn... mas kamukha niya ang Mom niya. They both look so stunning.

Agad naman bumeso si Jordyn sa kanyang Mom at napako ang tingin nito sa akin, nagmano naman ako at nginitian naman ako ni Tita. "Good afternoon po, Tita." I formally said.

"The famous Kairo Eugenio, you've grown so much!" Tita pinched my cheeks and I smiled awkwardly before she let us in the house.

Their home was so cozy, and just the thought of my girl growing up here makes me want to stay here for a few days. Inaya naman na kami ni Tita kumain. Her cooking was indeed delicious.

"Tita, can you give me the recipe for this dish? I can add another dish to my cuisine." I complimented her cook and she giggled before thanking me. We talked about Jordyn's childhood before we decided to chill in the living room.

Pinapakita ni Tita ang photos ni Jordyn noong bata siya. Mayroon nga ding naitago si Tita na litrato naming magkasama noong bata pa lang kami.

"You can have that, Kairo! Marami akong kopya niyan sa isa pang album," her mom smiled at me. I took the photo and observed it.

Jordyn was kissing my left cheek while I was looking at the camera in the photo.

"Irecreate niyo kaya ang picture na 'yan?" Excited na sambit sa amin ng Mommy niya kaya hindi naman na kami nakatanggi.

Umupo kami sa may duyan sa labas ng kanilang bahay and she awkwardly looked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, I'm gonna act like you didn't kiss me a few days ago, babe." I said at medyo nagulat pa siya dahil tinawag ko siya sa endearment namin dati.

Lumapit na siya sa akin at hinalikan ang aking pisngi at tuwang tuwa ang Mommy niya.

"Alam niyo, I always thought that you two would end up together." Her Mom told us and I just smiled. I can't believe I finally met her Mom for the first time again.

Ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na legal kami both sides. "You two are together, right?" She made sure and me and Jordyn awkwardly laughed.

"Actually, hindi pa ho kami nagbabalikan." I told her Mom at napatango tango naman ito and she seemed disappointed. "But don't worry, Tita. I like your daughter."

Bumalik naman na kami sa loob, "Magluluto na ako ng hapunan, dito ba kayo matutulog?" tanong ni Tita at nilingon ko naman si Jordyn at nagkibit balikat lang siya.

"Siguro po, Tita. Pag po wala kaming gana mag drive ngayong gabi, we'll sleep here."

Inaya ako ni Jordyn papunta sa kanyang kwarto and her walls were painted pastel purple. The furniture in her room were all white at napaka-aliwalas tingnan ng kanyang kwarto.

Pinaupo niya ako sa kanyang kama and it was so soft and comfortable. Parang gusto ko na lang matulog. It was just 6 pm though, wala nga kaming plano mag overnight dito eh. Pero kung gusto ni Jordyn e'di okay.

She locked the door and walked towards me, making my eyebrow raise. "Bakit mo nilock?" tanong ko at nagtaka naman din siya.

"Bakit, bawal ba?"

Hindi ko naman na siya sinagot, instead I closed my eyes and I felt her lie down beside me. It bothered me to be honest dahil ngayon lang kami ulit matutulog magkatabi.

My body tensed up when I felt her run her fingertips on my arm. It turned me on though.

"Kai..." She softly called my name. I opened my eyes and shifted my position in bed to look her straight in the eyes.

My gaze went from her eyes down to her lips. I brushed her bottom lip with my thumb before giving it a quick peck.

She gulped, "Did you miss kissing me?"

After dinner umakyat kami ulit sa kwarto at naligo muna kaming dalawa bago humiga ulit sa kama.

We ended up fucking inside the bathroom too pero mabilis lang 'yon dahil parehas na kaming pagod.

We were both cuddling each other while watching Netflix from her laptop. Surprisingly may signal dito kaya nacontact ko pa sila Mommy.

"Are you sleepy?" tanong ko sa kanya dahil napapapikit na ang kanyang mata. Agad ko naman sinara ang laptop at itinabi ito sa gilid bago siya kumutan ng maayos.

I was about to turn around when she groaned. "Cuddles..." she said and I laughed before spooning her. We eventually dozed off to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. My arm was still wrapped around Jordyn's waist so I had minimal space to move.

I reached for my phone and saw that my manager was the one calling me. I sighed, this better be important.

"Oh?"

[Kairo, I know you're at Nueva Ecija with Jordyn but you have to come to your office now. Me and your secretary would be waiting here.]

Agad naman akong nagtaka, bakit? Ano ba meron? It's a fucking Saturday why do I have to go to my office?

"Bakit? You're calling me so early, pwede naman mamaya."
