Chapter 13
A/N: Hopefully you've read the changes made a couple weeks ago or part of this won't make sense.
By this time five-year old Scarlett was used to the daily punishments that came from her captor. She now believed no one was coming for her just like he said.
The little brunette was pretty sure Mandy had been put in solitaire confinement after her stunt of coming to aid Scar because she hadn't seen her since.
It didn't matter anymore anymore, nothing did, not after all the pain her body had been through. Scarlett knew things no five-year-old should have known, or experienced for that matter.
The mental door swung open startling her from thought. Scarlett was up and standing at attention before the door could open fully.
"There's my babygirl." Blaine said with a grin, cupping her cheek tenderly. "Come let's eat in the kitchen tonight."
The brunette nodded and let him pick her up.
Another thing she had figured out was that if she complied one-hundred percent he would allow her to do things outside the concrete room. It was a compromise she thought she could stand.

"Can I do it?" Iris aed almost getty at the thought. "The sooner it starts ticking down, the sooner it gets to zero; then I can kill the brat."
Caleb scoffed and shared an unamused glance with Jacob. "Seriously, Iris?"
The blonde adult woman only laughed and flipped her hair, the handle to the hour glass firm in her grasp. "She's annoying."
"Alysa Kate is just a child, and besides we have to wait for the sign." Jacob sighed. He had grown attached to the little Schnapp girl, and hates to think of her slaughter at the hands of Blaine and Iris.
The sign was a notification from Scarlett's Instagram showing that she was now in the care of one Jack Dylan Grazer with all the other "second gen" kiddos.
When the photo came Iris, with a massive smile, flipped the hour glass while the boys counted children. Only six of the kids mattered; however as one of them was already in their custody. The other two girls in the photo had no price on their heads.
Caleb cursed. "Miles isn't with them."
"What!" Iris shrieked. "He has to be!"
"Well he's not." Jacob said. "He didn't go with them apparently."
Iris made an unholy noise and stamped her high-heeled foot on the tile. "Get him there then! We must have Miles, or everything is ruined." With that she stormed off in the direction of the drawing room.
"Well that was dramatic." Caleb commented.
Running his finger through his hair, Jacob nodded. "We'll going to have to fix this before Maye finds out the child isn't there."
"Yeah but how-" Caleb was interrupted by the sound of little footsteps. "Come on out."
Alysa Kate appeared from around the base of the grand staircase, having just finished getting changed for bed. "Will one of you read me a story?"
Both men rose with small smiles on their faces. You see, they had both been cheated of raising their own children so this was a second chance at parenthood.

Miles Wolfhard reclined on his bed with not a care in the world. His siblings were gone and his parents were busy trying to find Alysa so he could get away with anything.
None of them seemed to think about the curly haired boy when sending the children to safety, but Miles secretly thought it was because Mother loved him most.
The nine-year-old child had no clue he soon would be in grave danger by one Iris Apatow.
This wasn't suppose end here, but my hand hurts like crap. So hope you enjoyed! - Izzy
