❤ Euphoric Endings ❤

༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ This is the epilogue, and I just want to thank you very, very much for reading so far~

Throughout the week, Scarlett and Mark traveled through ManesField Valley.

It wasn't long until she saw her grandparents again — They welcomed her with a hug and even cried.

The elderly couple laid in a big Hospital bed next to each other.

"I'm sure we can find some sort of medication tha-"

Scarlett's grandparents shook their heads "We are not going to live forever, Scar"

"Ronnie ..." Scarlett Whispered, Mark tightened his hold on Scarlett's hand.

Scar's Grandmother, Celine, lightly smiled "His right - we're getting old. There are many other awful ways to die - old age doesn't sound so bad"

"I guess you have a point" Scarlett sniffed

Ronnie shook his head "Now, now Scar - no crying. This day was coming sooner or later, I'm just glad I got to see my grand-daughter one last time"

"I'm sorry I left" she whispered weakly

Celine's eyes softened at the young girl "Well, I'm just happy you came back, that you're here to see us off"

"How long did the Doctors say you have left?"

She shook her head lightly "They said it'd be a miracle if we made it through tonight"

"Tonight?" Scar cried

Mark put an arm around her shoulder "Is there anything we can do?"

"I'm afraid not," Ronnie coughed "It's our time to go, but we do not mind - we know Scarlett's in good hands," he smiled towards Mark.

Scar continued to talk to her grand-parents for a little while longer.

She spoke about many things, leaving out a few details of what she did while she was away — Celine grinned while Ronnie gave her a knowing smile.

Soon enough they said their goodbye's before leaving the elite Hospital room they laid in.

What Scarlett didn't see was the little item Celine give Mark before whispering "This ring has been handed down generation from generation in the Walker family - Scarlett's father was planning to use it for Genevieve but I refused when he asked for it. It is my biggest regret, but it'd be an honour if you used it when you propose to her. "

"How did you know I was going to propose?"

She gave a small chuckle "You look at her the way Andy looked at Gen and the way Ronnie looks at me"

"... Thank you," he whispered back, clutching the golden ring in his hand while the sparkling red diamond placed itself proudly on top.

Soon enough, Mark asked Scarlett to be his wife — she obviously responded a resounding yes while he slipped the prepossessing ring on her delicate finger.

Another five months forward, the wedding commenced with flying doves, slow music and endless smiles.

Ricky, Mark's father, walked her down the aisle while she wore a white dress with little red intricate designs.

Braxton was Mark's best man — surprisingly they even became best friends.

Kellen won the title he worked so hard to get and even asked Alice to be his girlfriend — no one saw it coming — Not even the two people who introduced them.

Another two years would pass before Mark and Scarlett had their first baby; a healthy baby girl named Christabelle.

It was a sunny afternoon when Mark sat down on the soft sand at the front of his beach house while watching his little girl and his lovely wife play in the water.

Scarlett laughed heartily while Chrissy giggled lightly in her mother's arms — Mark could not help the wide smile that made it's way across his face.

At that moment he was more than glad that Scar stood up for him the first time they met.

He was glad she let him in, and he was unbelievably glad that he had met her.

He tilted his head upwards just a little bit and thanked whoever was tying the strings of fate. He had amazing friends, a family he'd only spent so much of his youth dreaming about, and it was all because of one person.

A person that saved him all those years ago.

A person that loved him more than anyone he could possibly think of.

A person who made him smile, even in his darkest time.

Scarlett
