Chapter 4

Sorry that haven't been updating that much lately, but here's a new chapter.

Hope you enjoy.

" Alright, as I was saying before, our groups will be this for the time being at least. " Ash began while adjusting his hat. " One group will be of those who will be coming with me in search of just what these 'Slayers' are up to and try and put a stop them. The second group will be those who will stay here and watch how things are going and to support assistance however they can. "

" So how are we gonna be divided up? " May questioned.

" Well, I guess we'll just have to do it the old fashion way. " Clemont said as he swung his backpack off his shoulders and pulled out a bag, small slips of paper, a blue and a red pen. " I'll write a number on each one of these slips and those with a red number will go on one side while the ones left with blue will go to the other side, got it? " Clemont explained as he scribbled on each one of the slips of paper and shoved them in the bag.

Everyone lined up and each took a random slip of paper, then split up to two sides. There was Ash, Serena, Bonnie, Paul, Brock, Gary, Misty, May along with Dawn on one side, while Sawyer, Alain, Trip, Tierno, Max, Trevor, Barry, Iris, Cilan, Professor Oak and Delia were on the other.

Alright, I guess that decides it. " Ash sighed. " This will be our teams, if needed we can change them later. "

Everyone, realizing that there wasn't really another way for them to decide this without causing more chaos they all sucked it up and Ash's team grabbed their stuff and prepared to head out, Bonnie still being carried by Ash since her sprained ankle still didn't feel that much better.

" Ash, wait. " A voice called out behind him. He turned around to face Clemont who ran up to him. " Here. " Clemont handed Ash a small bag, inside there were a bunch a walkie talkie pin clips like they had used before. " Keep in contact with us with these, at least until you get your watch fixed. " Clemont finished.

" Thanks. " Ash smiled, he turned around and continued walking with the rest of his group into the forest that surrounded the town.

----------------

" Hey Ash? " Bonnie spoke up after the group had been traveling in silence for a while.

" Need something? " He asked, turning his head a bit so that he could look at the blonde.

" How long are we gonna keep walking for till we're able to take a nap or something? If i'm not mistaken, you haven't had much sleep in the last couple days. "Bonnie said the last part in a annoying singy song kinda tune.

" Believe me, I know. We'll probably stop soon, we're approaching Viridian City so I guess that's as best as we can for right now. " Ash sighed, followed by a yawn. He looked back at everyone else, they looked just as tired as he felt. Walking up to a tree he sat Bonnie down against it " We'll stop here for now. " Ash told the group.

" The best news i've heard all day. " Dawn sighed, falling to the ground. " I have never been so tired. "

The others either joined her on the ground or helped set up the sleeping beds they brought along.

Bonnie smirked " Well I would assume that you would be, as it takes a lot of energy to be an asshole. "

Dawn glared at her before standing up and walking over to her set up sleeping bag.

" Then shouldn't you be exhausted? " Misty retorted.

" Nope. You see, i'm good at what I do unlike you people. " Bonnie replied with a smile.

" As much fun as it is listening to you all fight, let's just hold that off till the morning. " Serena commented.

Everyone slipped into their sleeping bags and one by one fell asleep, the blood red sky fading away as they closed their eyes.

-------------

" Damn. " Gary said as the group had reached Viridian city, it was as wrecked as Pallet. Buildings torn down, windows shattered, cracks in the ground and people injured.

The group walked down the broken path, gaining attention from the townspeople. The mood the group was in wasn't all that bad, Paul was forced to carry Bonnie as Gary laughed at him and called him weak, Bonnie made remarks at Brock, Misty, May and Dawn as they tried to find a comebacks to Bonnie's comments, while Ash and serena just listened as the rest of them fought.

" Do we need anything from the town here, or is there anything we can do for these people? " Serena questioned.

" I don't think so, my guess would be that people from the league will be going around and assisting all the towns. " Ash replied.

" Although shouldn't they be more focused trying to fight against this Karum guy? " She asked, while thinking about the answer herself.

" Yes, the league along with the Champions are supposed to take care of these sorts of things, but they are suppose to ask the champion of that region if 1) they require assistance 2) if they can do whatever's necessary to get rid of this threat. " Ash answered, as they reached the outskirts of the city.

" But Karum is Kalos, right? "

" As far as we know and since are communications are cut off from the league they might think that I was beaten by this guy or if they even  tried to reach me, I can't even reply with this thing broken. " Ash sighed while playing around with his watch, most of the features he was able to restore but most of them were either not working or glitchy.

" Oh. " Serena sadly sighed.

" But I guess we could us this to our advantage. " Ash smiled, trying to cheer her up.

" How? " She didn't anyway that having no communication with the league could be good news.

" Well only certain people know that I haven't been defeated so it might just make it easier to get around without attracting a lot of attention " The champion informed her.

" Yeah, I guess you would be right. " Serena replied as she continued in thought.

Ash looked back to the rest of the group and was unsurprised that they still argueing. He looked up at the sky, it seemed to still be day. There wasn't much information Ash could take away from all this, all there was to determine was that the shade of red changed during the course of the day.
