Theres a legend, its an old one,  ancient, but it holds power. Wenn Ihr Seelenfreund sie dies tun weh tut. It translates to when your soulmate hurts so do you. The legend is referred to being a curse. Those without a soulmate are considered lucky.  

     Most people never find their soulmate, and they still get the pain and die alone. The legend means that if your soulmate gets injured, you and them both get the injury, and you split the pain.

Most people dread this, their parents may either pray that they are born with out someone their destined to. Others may praise the curse, seeing as how they found each other. Most are not as lucky.

    This is the story of how a pirate and an assassin found their soulmates in unlikely places at dangerous times in dangerous waters.
