The Job From The King
Sorry this is short, but I did manage to plan a little more of the fanfic, i hope you enjoy it sorry for never updating.
"Why have you summoned me here?" Dean demanded, fear growing in him as he dared to question the decisions of the royal court; no matter how foolish, they were powerful, and to order for answers while standing in the room of which they choose to act out their wishes could be a death sentence. A guard residing in the hallway had a fearful look of surprise cover his face before quickly subsiding back into a fierce look of indifference.
Footsteps echoed throughout the room, the sound bouncing off the rock walls. Deans eyes searched for the origin of the noise before settling on a priest, pacing across the upper level of the building. His face was one of stone yet his eyes looked both nervous and enraged. " For the sake of your life you shall be glad I am so merciful as to dismiss your contumacy," he snapped, the powerful voice resonated, leaving Dean unnerved due to the impatience of the man.
Dean was about to open his mouth and fill in the quiet before the priest began speaking, silencing Dean quickly, "You have been called here due to orders from the king."
Dean was awestruck at the words, to imagine King Crowley ordered his presence was beyond insane, yet here he was.
Dean was about to ask for the reason Crowley wanted him, a common criminal, anywhere near his home, but, again, the priest interrupted, "He is in need of your services." The uncertainty written across Deans face must have been visible, the priest clarified, "He needs you to kill someone, you will be rewarded handsomely if you are to succeed."
While it did help him understand he still wasn't clear on why the had chosen him, a petty run-of-the-mill criminal. He didn't wish to question the orders of the court just for his mere curiosity, for he could not reject a job from the king.
"Who is it that the king needs eliminated?" Dean asked cautiously. He will have wished ha hadn't, he will have wished he had walked away, but he didn't.
"You are to kill a pirate," he said, "we need you to kill Castiel."
