The wedding was finally over and Manya couldn't be more grateful. She removed her heavy and uncomfortable lehenga and changed into Salwar Kameez before she began unpacking her stuff.
Vyom was sitting in a corner and sulking at her who was ignoring his existence on their wedding night to shout out loud.
She could feel his eyes on her but she was way too exhausted to entertain his not-so-innocent demands.
Vyom stood up and went to sit by her side on the floor. Manyata kept ignoring him. But Vyom was hell bent on getting her attention so he rested his head on her shoulder. She sighed, “Vyom, I'm tired. Leave me alone for tonight.”
Vyom didn't budge. He kind of enjoyed messing with her. But then he saw a pink bracelet among her accessories. One of the three bracelets that he gave her few days back.
“Why do you have the pink bracelet? The red one was yours.” He asked her with a frown.
Manyata picked the bracelet in confusion, “Oh, I must have misheard you then.”
“Who has the red bracelet then? The one with a tracker.” Vyom asked.
“Devika took it,” She replied and put the bracelet back.

At Mehergarh, Devika's father Prakash was taking rounds around the Thakur Haveli with other bodyguards. His employers were in danger with Dushyant roaming free. He couldn't let that psychopath kill more people.
“Prakash Kaka, you should head back home and rest. We will gaurd the Haveli,” a young bodyguard suggested.
Prakash shook his head and passed him a soft smile, “I can't rest till the time Dushyant is roaming free.”
“I heard both of you used to be friends.”
Prakash's smile dissappeared, “That was before he committed those heinous crimes. Now he is just a psychopath to me.”
The very same moment, his phone rang in the pocket of his Kurta. He pulled out his phone and Devika's name flashed on the screen. He immediately picked the call.
“Hello,” he was expecting to hear his daughter's soft voice on the other side, but what he heard was the demonic laughter of the man he considered to be a psychopath. The man he wanted to kill. It was Dushyant.
“How are you doing, my dear friend?” Dushyant asked in a dangerous tone that sent chills down his spine.
“Why- why do you have my daughter's phone!?” Prakash shrieked in anger and fear. Worst thoughts crossed his mind in those few seconds.
“I also have her. I must say, she is quite beautiful.” Dushyant chuckled.
“Don't you dare touch my daughter! I will kill you if you hurt her!” Prakash warned the disgusting man.
“Oh, I want to do more than just touching her.”
Before Prakash could say anything the call ended. He immediately started his jeep and left for Lakhnaur with a few of his men. Even though he was in a terrible state of mind but he did inform the police and then also called Suraj and Manyata. He just wanted his daughter to be safe and sound when they meet.

Manyata panicked when she was informed about Devika's abduction. But Vyom's first instinct was to find a way to save Devika. And fortunately, the swap of bracelets gave him a way.
“Manya, Devika's bracelet has a tracker! If she is wearing it right now, then we can locate her. I'm going. I'll share the location with the police.” Saying so he ran outside the room.
On his way to the main door, he met Yuvraj, who was spending the night at their place. Though he was in panic, yet it was only right to inform Yuvraj about Devika's abduction. One, because Yuvraj claimed to like Devika and second, because Yuvraj was capable of tackling psychopaths.
“Yuvi, don't ask any questions. Devika got abducted by a psychopath. Her life is in danger. She wore the bracelet with a tracker and fortunately I have her location,” Vyom worded out speedily while pulling him along himself.
Yuvraj was taken aback by the news of Devika's abduction thrown at him so hastily. But he understood the gravity of situation and asked, “What's the location?”
“An abandoned factory near Kismet.” Vyom replied.
“Inform the police. I'm going to that factory.” He didn't wait for Vyom's reaction and ran to get his car keys and gun.

His lustful gaze was scaring her. Devika wanted to run for her life but her hands were tied at the back and her feet were tied too. Moreover, her mouth was covered with tape so she couldn't scream for help either. And the back of her head was bleeding, making her feel dizzy. She was trapped and at the mercy of a psychopath who was eyeing her with lust.
How she wished she hadn't stepped out of Yuvraj's car? But who could have imagined that it wasn't the Thakur family who was Dushyant's target, but Devika.
“You must be curious, right? Why you of all people? I'm angry at your father. He had betrayed me. He got me arrested instead of helping me in my revenge. So I want to give him the worst punishment. Of course, by playing with you.” He laughed at the end of his absurd and disgusting explanation.
Devika silently cried while struggling to untie her hands and feet. Even if her efforts were of no use, she still kept trying. That's all she could do. She couldn't stay still in this life-threatening situation. She had to keep trying for sake of her own life.
“I can't wait anymore. I haven't touched a girl in years.” Dushyant chuckled at took predatory steps towards her.
Devika panicked and pushed herself away from him. She kept pushing away until she hit a wall. He bent down to her level and eyed her chest. Devika tried to push him away but he easily overpowered her. Maybe she should have learned self-defense when Suraj had offered to teach her.
A hand came forward to pull down her saree's pallu. Her suppressed cries and physical struggle only excited him. Devika's was scared to death when he lunged at her. His touch was disgusting and she wanted to kill him in that moment.
A gunshot numbed her ears and when she came back to her senses, Dushyant was lying down on the floor. Blood oozed out of his right leg. Another gunshot was heard and now he was shot at his right arm.
Devika looked around and saw Yuvraj emerging from the darkness. His hand carried a gun while his eyes carried a murderous look directed at Dushyant.
“Who are you? Leave if you want to stay alive!” Dushyant threatened him.
Yuvraj chuckled humorlessly and aimed at his shoulder. The next moment, Dushyant's left shoulder was also bleeding.
“You really are a psychopath.” Two gunshots followed afterwards. One aimed at his abdomen and another aimed at his lungs. Dushyant didn't die immediately. Yuvraj shot him with the intention to give him a slow and painful death. He didn't deserve an easy death.
Devika witnessed the entire scene in silence and shock. Yuvraj ran towards her and that was when she noticed his red eyes. He removed the tape from her mouth and untied the ropes. Devika quickly covered her chest with the pallu. She didn't cry, she was too shocked to do that. Yuvraj picked her up in his arms and she let him. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she hid her face in his chest. Yuvraj looked at that psychopath one last time before he walked away with Devika in his arms, leaving that wicked man to die in pain.
He was helping Devika get inside the car when the police arrived at the scene.
“I'll be back in a few minutes,” He assured Devika and went to the police officers.
Devika saw the interaction between him and the police. He handed them his gun. Probably, because the criminal was shot by it. The conversation lasted a few more minutes before Yuvraj headed back towards his car.
He took her to the hospital where her injuries were treated. Yuvraj was by her side all the while. When they were left alone in the room, he covered her with blanket and waited for her to fall asleep before he went to the police station to give his statement.

This chapter is fast-paced, and not in a good way. But I wrote it before sleeping. And btw, this must be the first time I wrote an abduction scene.

I don't know if I will update tomorrow. I will if I could complete the next chapter. Otherwise, next update will happen next weekend.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. 👋
