Chapter 9: Home Sweet Home

John and Christine were driving back from their honeymoon as they pulled up to their gate and it opened.

"Home sweet home." John said.

"As much as I enjoyed our trip, I'm glad to be back home again." Christine said as John got out and opened the door for her.

"I hope the kids are not home." John said, kissing her.

"You know they are." Christine said.

"Let's see." John said as they walked up to the door and opened it.

"Kids, are you here? If not, I plan on making love to your mum on the couch." John said as Christine smiled as she was embarrassed.

"John, don't say that." Christine said as their kids came into their view with really horrified looks.

"Oh dad, that's gross. We sit on that couch and have family time." Henry said.

"Hey, two out of three of you were conceived in this very living room, so I can have my way with your mum anywhere I want to in this house." John said.

"Oh gross!" All three of them said at the same time.

"Henry honey, you were conceived at our old house in Los Angeles. It was Olivia and Emily who were gracefully conceived by our sentimental ways of love here in this house." Christine said as their children were grossed out even more.

"Mum, please stop before I throw up." Emily said.

"Oh Emily, quit being over dramatic, my dear." Christine said.

"It's not our fault that our parents came back and made themselves as if they were forty years younger than they actually are." Olivia said.

"Would you like for me to tell you that you were conceived in our bathroom after our induction of the world's most famous honor a band could get?" Christine questioned.

"Okay, I have to go to work and now, I'm really going this time." Olivia said as Christine smiled at looked right at John and winked.

"Emily, you were conceived in the very bedroom you sleep in that was mine and your mum's office before we turned it into your nursery, now known as your bedroom." John said as he looked at Christine, who smiled.

"Okay, I didn't need to know that and now, I'm leaving too." Emily said as she walked out the door behind her siblings.

"See, now the house is cleared out." John said.

"Oh yeah, tell your kids the stories of where and how they were conceived and you can clear a house out real fast." Christine said, getting up but John grabbed her hand and pulled her down into his lap.

"I did that for a reason." John said, moving a lock of her hair out his way to kiss her neck.

"As much as I want you, I really want to take a nap. That plane ride was exhausting and coming home was enough to tire me out." Christine said.

"You haven't been this exhausted since..." John said as he remembered when she found out they were expecting Emily.

"Honey, I'm not as young as I used to be and we need to sleep some time soon." Christine said.

"Christine, you haven't been this exhausted since you were expecting Emily." John said as Christine looked at him.

"You're delusional." Christine said as she got up and walked into the kitchen for a bottle of water as John followed her.

"I'm not delusional, I'm being honest." John said as he stood there, looking his wife in the eye.

"Honey, I'm not pregnant and that's impossible at my age." Christine said.

"You said that when we didn't know we were pregnant with Emily until we went to a doctor and he did a blood test on you and now, she's sixteen." John said as Christine set down her bottle of water.

"First of all, I'm in my seventies and I feel no symptoms whatsoever besides being jet lagged from the long plane ride and sleepy from the long car ride we just came home from." Christine said as she walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to their room.

"You barely touched your food on the plane ride." John said as he opened the door.

"That's because I didn't like it and I wanted to sleep." Christine said.

"All I'm saying is that we haven't exactly been that careful either." John said.

"When did you start caring about us being careful?" Christine asked.

"Since now." He said.

"Look darling, we're at the age where we don't have to be careful anymore. We have three children, well four but it doesn't matter if we use protection because I won't get pregnant." Christine said as she walked into their master bathroom to change into her night clothes.

"It could happen." John said as Christine shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"I highly doubt it." Christine said, brushing her teeth.

"Okay." John said as Christine came and snuggled up beside him.

"And even if were possible darling, it would be a risk to carry the baby to full term." Christine said as John turned over to face her.

"I was such a fool to leave you for her, Chrissy. We could've had another baby but I was so messed up at that time." John said.

"It's all in the past now Johnny, quit worrying yourself and just enjoy the peace while it lasts." Christine said as John cuddled up to her.

"I'm sorry for grossing out our children." John said.

"It was funny." Christine said, kissing his cheek as she put on her glasses and turned on her iPad as he got on his too.

"Let's see if I can find any embarrassing baby pictures of them on here." He said, clicking on the photo icon and scrolling through his camera roll.

...

"Well, here's one of when Emily was two." Christine said as she smiled at the picture, showing him the picture of their tiny toddler, eating a piece of watermelon with a funny look on her face.

"I remember that photo, she was hesitant about eating it at first." John said.

"That was right after her birthday party and she was not having it by being in her high chair but after that cupcake was put in front of her, she was happy." Christine said.

"She was just happy to get out of it after she devoured that cupcake." John said.

"You give a cupcake to a toddler, they are good to go." Christine said as John found one of when Christine was seven months pregnant, standing in front of their fireplace, his hands on her bare belly and looking into the camera with a which Mick took the picture.

"Remember this one?" John asked as he showed her the picture.

"I was seven months pregnant with Olivia and we were here during our annual Christmas party. Mick took the picture and gave it to us to keep for her baby album." Christine said, smiling.

"I thought Richard took that picture?" John questioned.

"No, that was Mick." Christine said.

"It looks like the polaroids Richard took of us all those years." John said as Christine smiled at the one she had.

"Let's see if you can remember this one." Christine said as she showed him the picture of them standing, with one of her legs wrapped around his and him looking at her.

"This is why everyone was convinced that we should've already had a baby at that time." John said.

"Hey, I was just telling all those women out there that you were mine and you still are." Christine said.

"That night was fun." John said.

"My back is reliving that night." Christine said.

"I just wanted to let all that man a few doors down from us to know that I am the only one who could really make you feel like you were on cloud nine, which I did." John said.

"I know because you were whistling through the entire session of our takes." Christine said.

"You can't blame me for what I did." John said.

"No, I don't blame you darling and I'm not going to lose you again, no matter what he thinks." Christine said.

"He made some smart comment about the time that you wore that shirt that said 'I Fancy The Bass Player'." John said as Christine smiled.

"I do fancy you and I still have that shirt." Christine said.

"Hopefully, he'll get the message that there's no way he's ever got a chance with you." John said.

"No need to worry love, I'm yours and you are mine. Always have, always will be." Christine said as John kissed her.

"I love you sweetheart." John said.

"I love you too darling." Christine said as they scrolled through the countless pictures they had.

"Now, this is a great photo." John said, showing her.

"Well, I was showing affection." Christine said.

"I know but I can't tell whether you were taking a picture or just trying to have your way with me, again." John said.

"You grabbed my ass before that photo and I wanted to show everyone how amazing you really are." She said.

"You have a nice ass darling." John said.

"Well, it wasn't nice when Stevie told me I needed to lose weight when I decided to rejoin the band." Christine said.

"You're perfect just the way you are darling." John said.

"I guess she wasn't wrong, but I decided to rent a place in Santa Monica next month with Mick as my workout buddy because I need to be able to stand behind my keyboards without getting leg cramps." Christine said.

"I'm going too. I can't live without you for several weeks, I need you." John said.

"I guess Henry and Olivia can watch Emily and Molly while we're away." Christine said.

"They will." John said.

"It'll be nice to get in shape again." Christine said as John smiled.

"I know something else that will keep us both in shape." John said as he started kissing Christine's neck.

"John, I thought we were looking at photos of our kids?" She questioned.

"We were but all this talk of working out makes me think of a way I can keep myself in tip top shape for when we hit the road." John said as Christine smiled.

"Looks like that makes two of us." Christine said as she straddled him, taking off her shirt and throwing it to the side and started unbuttoning John shirt, kissing his neck and chest in the process.

"God, you're gorgeous." He said.

"You're handsome too." She said, unbuttoning his shorts, rubbing his manhood until she heard a groan coming from him.

John was trying to think of an easy way to take off her pants but she stood up to strip out of both layers of clothing, leaving just her bra on as she straddled him again.

"I want these off of you, now." Christine said as John stripped out of them quickly.

"Better?" John asked her as Christine positioned herself on his bare member.

"Oh yeah, much better." She said, moaning as John sped up just a bit to give her what she loved.

"As much as I love the way this looks on you, I want to take it off and touch them." John said as he unclasped her lacy, red bra and threw it to the side, then softly caressed her breasts.

"All those years of playing your beloved bass, wishing it were my breasts you were touching." Christine whispered huskily in his ear, this turning them both on as they both started talking dirty to each other.

"I've always wanted to have my way with you on your beloved piano, I know you love a soft, gentle, sensitive instrument." John said as Christine knew what he was talking about as she laid him down on his back and stroked his manhood up and down.

"Indeed, I do and we both know what we like when we're in this kind of mood and next time, I'll let you have your way with me." Christine said.

"Hmm... I love that idea." John said as Christine smiled while she was enjoying the sensation her husband was giving her.

After, they laid together with Christine's head on his chest, his arm wrapped around her while she caressed his chest.

"I love you, my darling girl." John said.

"I love you too, my darling man." Christine said, closing her eyes.

They both went onto sleep as they loved these moments, both missing the tender touches but there was always tomorrow.

...

The next day, Christine woke up as she rolled over to see that John was already awake as the aroma of coffee wafted through their house as she got up to put her robe on and head downstairs.

When she walked into the kitchen, John was standing at the counter, playing peek-a-boo with Molly as her mind wandered to the past as she sat down, thinking of how simple their life was back then.

"Good morning darling, here you are." John said as he placed a kiss on her lips as he set her beloved coffee mug and her plate of her favorite breakfast down in front of her.

"Good morning love." Christine said as John made Molly a bottle and sat down next to his wife.

"The kids said they are sleeping in today, so I thought we could just relax and have a do nothing kind of day." John said.

"There's always something for me to do, like cleaning our breakfast dishes." Christine said.

"No, I'll clean the kitchen up. Just go relax and enjoy your day." John said.

"Sweetheart, it's no big deal but I'll help you clean up and then, we can relax because I'm still tired from all the events that just happened." Christine said.

"Sounds good to me." John said as he kissed her again, slowly.

"Home sweet home." John said as he felt better than ever to be with the love of his life again, in their home with their kids and two beloved dogs. This is what he always wanted and he would always cherish it forever.
