Chapter 25: Go Your Own Way: Part 1
Sophie stood on the porch and anxiously stood there, she wanted to knock but her fear of being told to go away was so high that she knew she needed to leave but her feet felt like they were stuck so she knocked anyway.
"Are we expecting company?" John asked his wife as they were eating breakfast.
"Not that I know of and hopefully, they will go away." Christine said as she sat on her husband's lap, taking a sip of coffee out of his coffee mug.
"You look so sexy right now, drinking coffee out of my mug." John said as Christine lowered her coffee cup.
"Mhmm... It's really good too, better than sex I do believe." Christine teased, licking her lips.
"Oh that hurts me." John said.
"I'm kidding darling." Christine said as the knock came again.
"Seriously, who could be here at this hour?" John asked.
"I don't know but I'll go answer it." Christine said as she got up and opened the door to see Sophie standing there.
"Hello Sophie." Christine said as she was still furious that this young woman had the nerve to stand on her front porch after she broke her son's heart.
"Is Henry here?" Sophie asked.
"He is but you're not going to see him after what you did." Christine said.
"I need to speak with him, please?" Sophie asked.
"Not going to happen." Christine said as Henry happened to come downstairs as he seen his mother and ex girlfriend in the doorway.
"What are you doing here?" Henry asked Sophie.
"Can we talk?" Sophie asked.
"First, I believed that baby was mine and then, you tell me you slept with someone else while we were at the doctor's office. Do you know how embarrassing that was for me?" Henry questioned.
"I'm sorry but I can we talk privately, please?" Sophie asked.
"What could you possibly have to say to me in private? You're pregnant with another man's baby." Henry said.
"You could help me raise him or her as your own with me. It doesn't matter if the baby is yours or his, this baby needs a father." Sophie said.
"Sophie, I'm sorry but after what happened, I don't think we could ever have anything like we did. I was so happy but now, I just can't get over the fact that you came here in front of my parents and my siblings. You just don't stop, do you?" Henry questioned his ex girlfriend.
"I just thought we could talk about this, why is it so hard for you to accept this like this child doesn't have to be biologically yours to raise him or her with me, they need a father." Sophie said.
"Can I just think about it first? Right now, I'm still hurt." Henry said.
"How much time do you need Henry? Huh?" Sophie asked as both Olivia and Emily came downstairs.
"A lot of time, I'm still hurt and trying to figure out where my head is." Henry said.
"Oh God, what is she doing here?" Olivia asked.
"I'm trying to talk some sense into your brother." Sophie said.
"You spread your legs for every bloke you try to charm?" Emily questioned.
"No." Sophie said.
"Two blokes in two weeks and you got pregnant, sounds like someone else I know." Emily said.
"Emily, go check on Molly." Christine said.
"Yes ma'am." Emily said.
"I just need awhile to think about this because when you told me you were pregnant, I was excited to become a father, I knew it was too good to be true." Henry said.
"Henry, I don't want to raise this baby alone." Sophie said.
"Well, then don't go spread your legs for every bloke you charm." Olivia said.
"Alright, let's just stop because everyone is not on the same page and after what my son got on his end was not fair to him and Sophie, have you talked to the biological father?" John asked her.
"Yes and he doesn't want to be in the baby's life and I just wanted to come talk you Henry, not your entire family." Sophie said.
"Well, we're a packaged deal and they have every right to be here whether you like it or not Sophie." Henry said.
"Just think about it, please?" Sophie asked him.
"Of course." Henry said as Sophie kissed his cheek and walked to her car as she left.
...
Christine had just gotten out of the shower as John was reading a boating magazine as she snuggled up to him.
"Sophie had the nerve to come over here again, this is hurting Henry more and more." John said.
"I know Henry is hurting and he's bottling his feelings up and I just don't want that to happen." Christine said.
"She's in the wrong by forcing a baby onto him, I know our son very well and he has mixed emotions about this situation." John said.
"I'm gonna go talk to him." Christine said.
"Okay." John said as Christine kissed his lips and she got up and headed for Henry's bedroom and knocked on his door.
"Who is it?" Henry asked.
"It's your mum." Christine said as Henry opened the door.
"What's up mum?" Henry asked her.
"I'm just checking in to see how you're doing after this morning." Christine said.
"I'm doing okay, just trying to weigh my options, like should I just stay here and not see Sophie anymore or should I go and help her raise a baby that isn't mine?" Henry questioned.
"What is your gut telling you to do?" Christine asked him.
"I don't know mum, this is what I told myself that if I ever found someone to spend the rest of my life with, that this wouldn't happen and I love Sophie but this baby, I just don't know because she wants me to help raise him or her and this baby isn't even mine." Henry said.
"It's up to you baby, I know you're grown but I just want what's best for you." Christine said.
"Should I though?" Henry asked his mum.
"It's up to you and even though this baby isn't yours biologically, it doesn't matter because you do love Sophie and it's written all over your face but it's up to you my sweet boy and if you want to, that's fine because either way, it won't change our minds about you in any way and I don't want you to feel like you have to do this if you don't want to." Christine said.
"Then, tomorrow night at the concert because Sophie will obviously be there because we'll be there, then I will tell her how I really feel." Henry said.
"Then, we'll support you sweetheart." Christine said.
"Thank you mum, I love you." Henry said as he hugged his mum.
"You're welcome baby and I love you too my sweet boy." Christine said as she hugged her son tighter.
Christine left Henry's room to go check on her girls as she opened Olivia's door to see her listening to music while doing a word search, Christine smiled as Olivia felt someone watching her as she looked to see her mum standing in the door way.
"Hey mum, sorry I am so engrossed in my word search." Olivia said.
"I know, you are like me and I love it." Christine said as she sat beside her oldest daughter.
*Flashback- December 1997*
Christine was so engrossed in her word search as she felt John's hands on her shoulders, massaging them as she moaned.
"Did Henry go to sleep okay?" Christine asked as of lately, her little boy wanted only his mummy to tuck him in but due to her doctor's orders of taking it easy since their baby girl was due any day, she had to stay off her feet and do little things as possible.
"It took three books and a glass of milk to get him to go down but he's out like a light." John said as he walked around the counter to wash dinner dishes as Christine stood up carefully with her hands on her belly.
"Good." Christine said as she came and wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his back.
"Honey, you shouldn't be standing. Go sit down and I'll take care of the dishes." John said as Christine kissed his shoulder.
"You're so comfy." Christine said.
"Honey, it's unsafe for you to be standing at this point. You are due any day and Christmas is tomorrow and as much as I want to hold our baby, I don't want you to get hurt by standing for too long." John said as Christine went to walk as her back ached as she made her way over to the couch.
"Wouldn't that be something? Our baby could be born on Christmas." Christine said as John came over with two glasses of milk and handed one to her as he sat down with her feet on his lap and he started massaging them.
"It would be, but don't give me something to worry about." John said as he stared at her belly.
"She's kicking again, whoo whoo." Christine said as she placed his hand on her belly.
"Are your contractions starting again?" John asked as he grabbed his stop watch and notepad with a pen.
"Yes but not as frequent as they should be. I'm so ready to have her honey." Christine said.
"I know honey and she'll be here before we know it. You need your rest, so let's go to bed because we have a very excited two year old little boy who's ready to open his gifts in the morning." John said as they stared at their Christmas tree with all the glittering pretty lights and glittering presents underneath it.
The next morning was exciting as Henry woke them up, Christine had already had three painful contractions this morning but was powering through as they opened gifts as Christine went to go into the kitchen, she bent over from a contraction as she looked down beneath her feet to see water on the floor.
"John honey, can you come in here please?" Christine said as she breathed through the pain.
John entered the kitchen to see his wife bent over and looked down to see the water on the floor beneath her feet.
"Honey my water broke, we need to head to the hospital now!" Christine said.
"Okay, okay umm... Let me call Isabella and see if she can come get Henry." John said as he dialed Isabella's number as they talked and she said she was on her way.
Henry walked in to see what his parents were doing as he looked at them confused.
"Daddy, there's water on the floor beneath mummy's feet." Henry said.
"Listen buddy, mummy is in pain and we have to head to the hospital and Isabella is coming to get you. You're about to meet your baby sister and you're going to be a big brother, so let's get your shoes, socks and jacket on." John said as he hurriedly got his son ready as he grabbed everything that was by their door as Christine gripped the counter.
Isabella knocked on the door as John gave his son a kiss and thanked Isabella as they left.
"John, please for the love of God, get your arse over here." Christine said through her gritted teeth.
"Breathe baby breathe. Remember the exercises we practiced." John said as he put his hands on her hips.
"We need to get to the hospital before I have this baby standing right here." Christine said.
"Let's get going." John said as he picked everything up and shoved in the car as he helped Christine down the steps and to the passenger side as they were in their way.
*End of Flashback*
"Mum, mum." Olivia said as she waved her hand in front of mum's face.
"What? Oh sorry sweetheart. The day I went into labor with you, I was doing a word search and it brought back that memory and I gave birth to you on Christmas." Christine said.
"It's okay and I like when you tell me the story of how you gave birth to me, your favorite child." Olivia said.
"Well, you almost tore me in half and I almost had to get stitches." Christine said as she laughed.
"I was just making my grand entrance into this world." Olivia said as Christine laughed again.
"That you did and it's a great memory darling and I was just coming to say good night and I love you sweetheart." Christine said as she kissed her daughter's forehead and she got up.
"Goodnight and I love you too mum." Olivia said as Christine existed her oldest daughter's bedroom as she walked over to Emily's as her youngest daughter was already asleep as Christine pulled the comforter up on her.
"Good night baby, I love you." Christine said as she walked out of Emily's bedroom to go check on Molly as she too was asleep as Christine kissed her head.
"Good night my little sweet baby girl." Christine said as she looked at all the framed pictures of different era in her life: the band photos, the wedding photos, the pictures of her pregnancies, her babies photos, her children's different activities, just happy memories all in all as she smiled knowing she achieved what real happiness felt like.
She turned out the hallway light and made it back to see John asleep as she cuddled up with him.
"Good night baby, I love you." John said as he kissed her forehead and cuddled her as her head laid in the crook of his neck as she drifted off to sleep.
"Good night baby, I love you too." Christine said.
...
The next night was going pretty good and everyone was so happy to see each other as John snuck up behind his wife and kissed her cheek while she was talking to Stevie.
"I love you so much baby." John whispered in her ear as Christine blushed as she turned around to plant a kiss on his lips.
"I love you so much too baby." Christine said as their kids came in.
"We better clear out before these two decide to get it on while we're in here." Mick said.
"Nonsense, we know that you guys won't let us." Christine said.
"But we will later? At home?" John asked his wife.
"Of course honey, if you're not tired." Christine said as she kissed her husband's cheek.
"I'm never too tired, I want to see your sexy body on top of me, riding me and that will for sure give me the energy to keep me awake." John purred as it sent shivers up and down his wife's body.
"All I gotta say baby, is you better be ready." Christine whispered in his ear.
"I'm always ready for you baby, now come sit on my lap." John said as he sat down in the chair, she sat down on his lap and felt him underneath her.
"You're stabbing me honey." Christine said as John put both of his hands on her hips.
"I'm aching for you baby." John whispered in her ear.
"We can't be so obvious sweetheart, our children are here and I don't want anyone to barge in here and with so many people already in here, we can't get caught." Christine said as John started kissing her neck and the sweet spots that turned her on.
"Please baby?" John questioned.
"After the show baby, I promise." Christine said.
"Have mercy on poor lad like me." John started singing.
"Honey, just go in the loo and ease yourself." Christine said.
"My hand is not as sweet as your sexy mouth." John whispered as that made Christine cave in.
"If we go in there, I'm locking in the door." Christine said as she got up and grabbed his hand as they walked in the loo and locked the door.
"Now, just relax baby." Christine said as she started kissing his neck and eased her hand over his hardened member.
"Oh trust me baby, I'm already relaxed." John said as Christine got on her knees and unbuckled his belt and popped the button open on his pants and slid the zipper down.
"Good." Christine said as she pulled his pants and briefs down as she licked the precum off his tip with the flat of her tongue as John gently tugged on her hair.
"Mhmm..." John moaned.
Christine took him all the way into his mouth as John felt his length hit the back of her throat, he was in heaven.
"I want to be inside you baby." John said as he helped her up as he kissed her.
"Sink, now." Christine said as John picked her up and sat her down on the sink.
"Too many layers baby, I miss you wearing your skirts, better access and more time to do naughty things to your sexy body." John said as he popped the button on her pants and slid them down with her knickers.
"Fill me up baby, let me feel it." Christine said as John got on his knees and lifted her legs up onto his shoulders and kissed her inner thigh.
"Honey, we don't have much time and you're teasing me." Christine said.
"You looked so sexy just awhile ago, now relax and let me make you feel better just like you made me feel better, I'll be inside you of you soon enough baby." John said as he slowly slid himself inside of her.
"Give it to me baby." Christine said as John started giving her what she wanted.
...
"She's here." Olivia said to Henry.
"Uncle Lindsey, can I sing 'Go Your Own Way', please?" Henry asked his uncle.
"Yes but as long as get to play guitar, deal?" Lindsey said as Henry gave him a handshake.
"Deal." Henry said.
"Go out there and show that bitch what you're made of." Olivia said to her brother.
"I will sis and you sound so much like mum, damn you are definitely her daughter." Henry said.
"Of course I am. I have blonde hair and blue eyes just like mum while you look like mum in the face somewhat, you have daddy's personality and characteristics." Olivia said.
"Emily and Molly look like dad." Henry said.
"Let's get this show on the show the road." Lindsey said.
They walked to the side stage as Christine hugged her son and kissed his cheek.
"I'm so so so very proud of you my baby boy and I love you." Christine said as Henry hugged her tightly.
"I love you too mum." Henry said.
"Now, I know it's not the most appropriate time to say this but wait, it is and I'm going to say this as nicely as I can, but go teach that little bitch a lesson because she's here to tonight." Christine said as he looked between his mum and sister.
"Mum, you don't sugarcoat anything." Emily said.
"I don't sugarcoat shit when it comes to people who hurt my babies, they will pay for it dearly and I want to see her cry, teach her a lesson or two. I was so nice to her and made sure she could come to me with anything and then, she drops a bombshell." Christine said as John came up behind her and put his hands on her hips and kissed her neck.
"I'm the same way, my babies are my life and no one and I mean no one will ever think that they can hurt my babies." John said as Christine held his hand as Lindsey came to see if Henry was ready.
"You ready bud?" Lindsey asked him.
"I'm more than ready Uncle Lindsey." Henry said as he had his guitar clutched to him.
"Go stick it to her baby." Christine said as she kissed her son's cheek.
"I will mum." Henry said as they all went to their spots on the stage as the fans started chanting.
