Chapter 18: Milestones, Memories and The Bet
This is a flashback chapter because I love little moments like these in chapter stories.
John woke up to see that Christine was not beside of him as he usually wrapped his arms around her but all he felt was the cold touch of her pillow that was usually so warm as he read the clock '10:00' a.m., "Too early." He said as he stared at the pictures on her nightstand, bringing out a smile as he took a look at one picture, a beautiful smiling Christine holding their first baby girl with Henry holding her too with smiles on their faces. The picture brought a flashback to his mind as he held the picture, staring at part of his whole world in one picture.
*Flashback* 1997- The Dance Tour
Christine had been sitting at the dressing room table, drumming her nails against it as she stared into the mirror, just missing her little boy as she looked at the pictures of his little smiling face and the one of her and him, his little face smushed against hers with the photo frame saying 'I Love My Mommy' in different color letters, which brings her to tears as she stares at her watch, her heart flutters as she stares back into the mirror as she gets up to go find John as she hears the guys talking but is interrupted by Stevie.
"Christine, are you okay?" Stevie asked her worriedly.
"I need John for just a little while." Christine said.
"Okay, I have to go and find my tambourine, I lost it." Stevie said as Christine walked into the guys dressing room to see Lindsey and Mick playing cards.
"Where's John at?" Christine asked them.
"He's in the bathroom, shaving I believe." Mick said as he played a card.
"Thanks." Christine said as she walked into the bathroom to find her husband shaving as he looked to see who walked in as Christine locked the door.
"Hey babe." John said as he was putting on shaving cream and turned off the water.
"Honey, I'm ovulating." Christine said as John looked at her through the mirror.
"Babe, the doctor said..." John was cut off by Christine kissing him.
"John, I feel like my ovaries are about to explode and I need you to stop talking about that stupid doctor for a while and put a baby in me." Christine said as John knew how much she wanted another baby as he unlocked the door and got the guys attention.
"Can everyone clear out for about twenty minutes?" John asked as everyone looked at him, knowing what he meant and why they needed to leave the room.
"Didn't you two have enough time together last night?" Lindsey asked as John glared at him.
"Shut it Buckingham and clear out, everyone now." John said as everyone groaned as they left the dressing room as Christine was on him the moment he shut the door, she unbuckled his trousers, freeing him as he held her between the door and the wall.
He wanted this to work, he wanted this baby too and give his son a sibling, he was begging God to let this be their chance of being successful again, it had been a stressful process as their labored breathing was as almost as intense as their eyes bored into each other, looking for cues as John felt himself bucking up against her as she held onto him, he was pouring every bit of his love into her, she groaned as her head laid on his shoulder, crying as John knew this had been the hardest thing she had been through in a long time.
"Please let this be true, I can't take another test for it to be negative or another disappointment, I don't want to disappoint you." Christine said as John let her down, tucking himself back in his trousers as he held her.
"You're not going to disappoint me baby, if we're not successful this time, we'll keep on trying, I promise." John said as he held her in his lap, putting his hand on her flat belly as her hand lay on top of his.
"I want to have another one of your babies and give Henry a sibling because he was rubbing my belly the other day saying "baby baby", I picked him up and just held him." Christine said as John put his forehead against hers.
"I promise that we're going to have another baby, a little girl if we're blessed and she's going to be your little mini me." John said as Christine kissed him feverishly.
"Talk about being a softie McVie." Mick said as he walked in, grabbing a drink as he sat down as everyone came back in.
"I'm spending time with my wife, do you people mind?" John questioned as everyone came in.
"We know but get a room next time, we got a show in an hour." Lindsey said.
"Let's go back to my dressing room and call our son, I miss him so much." Christine said as she took his hands as they walked to her dressing room.
"Shh..." Stevie put her fingers to her lips.
"Why are we having to be quiet?" Christine asked as she looked at John.
"Mummy! Mummy!" Christine heard her little boy as they opened the door and Henry came running into her arms.
"Oh my baby boy! Oh I've missed you so much!" Christine said, holding him to her close as she held his little head and kissed his cheek.
"Mummy pretty." Henry said as Christine smiled.
"Mummy does look pretty doesn't she, my little handsome boy?" John said as Henry put his little face up against hers and smiled as John took a picture, his whole world in one photo.
"I promise baby, we'll be blessed again soon enough." He said to himself as he kissed her and Henry's cheek.
*6 weeks later*
The tour was over as they were being inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame as Christine felt queasy again, barely keeping anything down lately as she knew why.
The tour was such a mess, it was just a downhill ride of angry shouts between Lindsey and Stevie. Lindsey's girlfriend Kristen was pregnant and Stevie lost it on him and their now famous video of Stevie's haunting voice singing 'Silver Springs' was a huge success of two ex lovers avoiding each other now, it was just so stressful to everyone and Christine was ready to leave, she wanted to leave and have a normal life.
Tonight was it
She brought her purse into their hotel suite bathroom as John sat on the chair, waiting as she got the little plastic bag containing the pregnancy test box she bought earlier that morning.
"Please God, let this be the last pregnancy test of this year." Christine said as she took the plastic sticks out of the box.
"John?" Christine was scared as he entered the bathroom as she cried.
"Breathe baby, breathe." John said as she did with tears rolling down her face as he wiped them away.
"I'm nervous, my hands are shaking." Christine said as John held the back of her legs, he always did this when she was nervous.
"I'm right here baby, just take your time." John said as Christine breathed in and out.
"I'm so nervous and excited but what if it's negative? Or worse, I won't be able to carry another baby because I'm older now and what if I can't have our baby." Christine said as she cried harder as she buried her head into his shoulder as John held her.
"You're not old baby, all the symptoms you've had lately point to this miracle you're holding in your hand. If it won't work, then we'll go to a different doctor and get the results." John said as Christine kissed him.
"Okay." Christine said she kissed him again.
"Yeah?" John questioned with a smile as he held her close to him with her hands on his shoulders.
"Yeah." Christine said with a smile on her face.
"Please work, we need you to say positive or pregnant." John said as he looked at the blank pregnancy test.
"I'll be out in moment." Christine said.
"Okay darling, I'll be waiting." John said as he waited anxiously in the room as Christine took the test.
She came out of the bathroom and sat with him as they sat in silence.
"Songbird?" John questioned as Christine smiled at the nickname he has called her since 'Rumours'.
"It takes a a few minutes, I just want to lay here with you until we get up." Christine said as John's hand lay protectively on her belly.
"I think we're going to have a girl." John said.
"We don't know for sure." Christine said as John kissed her as the timer went off.
"I believe we're going to have a baby and It's time to check." John said as got up and held his hand out as she hoped he was right.
They went into the bathroom as Christine couldn't look.
"What does it say?" Christine asked.
"It's-." John was about to say when Christine looked and she jumped into his arms as she knocked him back onto the floor with her on top of him, kissing him all over his face and neck.
"We're pregnant! We're pregnant! We're going to have a baby!" Christine said as she put his hands on her belly and bucked herself against him.
"Babe, my back." John said as Christine laughed but felt bad but she was in the mood at the moment.
"I'm sorry honey, but we're growing our family and you've hurt your back more in these past few months than you've done in a long time." Christine said as she felt better than she had in months.
"Well, it's totally worth it when it comes to you and our little family. Like when we were at the playground with Henry the other day and he thought I was a jungle gym after getting scared of the swings." John said as Christine laughed again, but then the smile turned into tears.
"Honey?" John asked as he knew her hormones were going into overdrive.
"I think after tonight, I haven't told you but I'm afraid of even stepping foot on that plane because I'm afraid now, I can't do this anymore, I want to go home and be with my babies." Christine said, rubbing her stomach.
"You want to go home?" John asked.
"Yes." Christine said as John understood.
"I understand honey, no one is going to keep you if you want to go." John said as he raised himself up and hugged her.
"But I'll miss you and the band but I have two little ones who need me now and I can't tour and perform while I'm pregnant. I'm going to retire honey and I'm going home." Christine said as John held her, feeling the tears on his shirt seep through.
"You deserve this baby, I'm not going to stop you but I will miss you like hell when you leave because I have to be here to keep Buckingham Nicks from killing each other along with Mick to help with damage control." John said as Christine held him to her.
"Stay home with me for the next three years and when they decide to make a new album, then we can worry about that because with the way it's looking, I don't see another Fleetwood Mac album coming out any time soon." Christine said as John loved that idea.
"I would love nothing more, I want to see this beautiful belly grow every day and see you grow and become more beautiful and happy every day." John said.
"My boobs are already sensitive and I know you love to stare at them." Christine said.
"I can't help myself when it comes to your body, like your body is a work of art baby." John said as his lips kissed her pulse point, the most sensitive part of her body when she's pregnant as her fingers ran through his hair.
"Keep going baby." Christine said as her body reacted to his touch.
John kissed her neck and grazed his teeth on her pulse point, feeling her fingers grip his hair hard as he felt her lower half of her body gyrate on his lower half.
"We got time." Christine said as she kissed him.
*End of Flashback*
John got out bed as he opened the door, walking down the hallway to see where his beautiful wife and kids were as he smelt pancakes and coffee being made as he walked downstairs and quietly tiptoed into the kitchen, just seeing Christine in the kitchen with Molly in her arms, baby babbling as Christine's back was turned.
"Can you say pancake?" Christine said to Molly as she laughed.
"Pa." Molly babbled.
"Almost, let's see what kind of fruit sounds good today? Banana?" Christine asked her.
"Mhmm..." Molly hummed.
"Is that a yes?" Christine questioned as she opened the fridge to find a tray of freshly cut strawberries as she took one out to eat but Molly grabbed it and nibbled on it before she even had a chance.
"Okay, new foods to try and let's see if you'll try a new food, a very tiny bit of pancake. I know that bottle is getting old." Christine said as she took a very tiny piece and held it up to Molly as the baby admired to smell as she poked her tongue and took the bite, smiling in approval.
"So, that's a yes on that one." Christine said as Molly smiled.
"Wait till daddy see's you trying new foods, but for now, we're going to go with strawberry and banana baby food." Christine said as she grabbed the jar, baby spoon and bib.
John hid from Christine's view as she put Molly in her high chair and put the bib on Molly as she began feeding her.
"This is easier to eat, I know that strawberry was good but this is better." Christine said, after having three kids, she knew this was a favorite from when they were hitting their milestones.
Christine held up to Molly's mouth as she ate it, but spit out immediately and started fussing.
"Cmon sweetheart, you already had a bottle and I need you to try eating it instead of wearing it." Christine said as John came up behind her and started rubbing her shoulders, Christine knew it was him as she looked up.
"Poor baby, it's not as good as the real strawberry from just a few minutes ago." John said as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
"How did you know? Were you hiding again?" Christine asked.
"Yes but she loved it just like the time Olivia was two years old and she snatched that watermelon piece from your hand." John said as Molly smiled at her daddy.
"I don't think baby food will be a favorite but I'm afraid she'll choke if I give her actual tiny pieces of fruit, I'm just testing the waters." Christine said as she lifted up the spoon.
"She'll be okay, I used to tear off tiny bitty pieces of steak and feed it to our kids all the time." John said as Christine shook her head.
"Your daddy is something else, but I still love him." Christine said as he sat down in front of her.
"I love you too babe." John said as he ate a piece of pancake as Molly got excited as she watched her daddy eat as she wanted to try some.
"Okay, let me go get my plate sweetheart." Christine said as she did and sat back down.
"Mummy's cooking is the best, I can't wait for to be able to eat everything she makes baby girl." John said as Christine looked at him and the back down as she cut the pancake.
"Honey, if she calls me mummy, wouldn't that start a war?" Christine questioned.
"Babe, you're the only mum she really knows, Julie's hardly in her life and honestly, I would rather her call you mama than her." John said as he got up.
"But I'm not her mum, I'm her stepmother." Christine said as her heart ached at hearing the word 'stepmother' leave her mouth as tears built up in her eyes, threatening to fall.
"Julie hardly ever comes around anymore because after the divorce, she ran off and she never calls anymore. We have fully custody darling and the kids have finally adjusted to Molly being their sister." John said as he came over and lifted Christine onto his lap.
"Would it be the right decision though for her to call me mum? I mean if Julie comes back and wants her back in her custody and she hears Molly calling me mum, an absolute war would break out." Christine said as John knew that was the furtherest thing from the truth.
"I don't see that happening, I have tried to schedule visits and make sure Molly see's her but she doesn't answer the phone and the kids have even seen that your the only mum that Molly has ever known." John said.
"M-." Molly babbled as Christine knew what that meant.
"Johnny?" Christine smacked his chest.
"Ow babe, that hurt." John said, holding his chest.
"I think she's about to say it." Christine said.
"Say what?" John asked as clueless as any father would be.
"I think she's about to say mama. She is babbling like the kids did when they were hitting their milestones." Christine said.
"I think she'll say dada first, Henry did." John said.
"Olivia and Emily said mama first so, I win." Christine said, smiling.
"What is this? A competition?" John said laughing.
"Mhmm..." Molly hummed seeing them talking as she smiled.
"It seems so." Christine said.
"How about we place a bet on it?" John asked.
"We're betting on which word our baby girl says first?" Christine said as she covered her mouth.
"Yes we are, a little bet and she is your baby girl too just like she is mine." John said.
"John, I-" Christine couldn't form the words to say.
"Honey, she's your baby just as much as she is mine." John said as Christine looked at the sweet little face as she kissed her husband.
"Okay, she's both our baby girl." Christine said with tears as she breathed in and out.
"Now, back to that bet." John said as he got his wife to laugh.
"Winner gets to pick what the loser does and loser gets to pick what the winner does." Christine said as John wandered what he would bet.
"I bet she says dada first and if I win, you know how I'm going on that business trip with Mick soon?" John questioned as Christine looked at him.
"Yeah, what is in that mischievous head of yours, McVie?" Christine asked.
"Oh, you'll know soon enough Mrs. McVie." John said as he kissed her neck as Christine held his head there and rubbed in between her thighs and tried not to moan because their baby was right there.
"John, stop." Christine said as Molly shrieked with laughter.
"You get too rowdy and in front of our daughter too." Christine said as she took a sip of her coffee.
"She thinks daddy is just holding mummy, that's all." John said as Christine loved the way he thought, she might as well be Molly's mum even though, her mother was still here on Earth.
"Now, for the winner?" Christine questioned.
"The winner gets to go wherever they want to go, with baby girl of course." John said.
"She'd love the aquarium, she already loves all the penguin documentaries and her nursery is filled with so many penguin plushies." Christine said.
"Well, then the bet is on." John said as he held out his hand for her to shake and bet on it.
"What the hell do you have in store if I lose this bet?" Christine asked.
"Something for my pleasure." John said.
"Oh God! If it's like anything like three weeks ago, you'll be doing all the housework and making sure the house is not falling apart." Christine said.
"Hey, I'd do anything such as housework to see you like three weeks ago." John said.
"It was much needed and it was great to see you in all of your glory." Christine said.
"Pa—" Molly screeched as John and Christine smiled.
"Or her first word will be pancake." John said as Christine got up and got Molly out her high chair.
"We'll see." Christine said as she kissed him as their kids came in.
"Oh gross you two!" All three of them said.
"Please, if only you three heard what we did three weeks ago. Let's just say your mother was so hot, rid—." John could not finish before their kids all groaned in protest.
"Eww dad, just stop. We do not want to hear about your sex life with mum!" Emily said.
"Ya!" Molly screeched.
"See, even Molly doesn't want to hear about it, isn't that right baby?" Henry asked her.
"Dada!" Molly screeched as Christine rolled her eyes, she lost the bet as John smiled at her.
"Holy shit! Did she just say her first word?" Henry asked them.
"Oh my goodness! She did!" Christine said happily but knew John was up to something.
"Yes she did and now, your mum lost the bet and has to pay up." John said as their kids looked at her.
"What do you owe dad?" Olivia asked.
"Do you want to know?" Christine asked her oldest daughter.
"Oh daddy, that's just gross. Why does it always have to be about sex with you two?" Olivia asked.
"Don't make them answer that, I'm trying to eat over here." Henry said as Emily was too grossed out.
"Ya!" Molly screeched bounced in Christine's arms.
"Make sure we're not home when that bet is on and the front door is locked." Olivia said.
"I don't even know what he has in mind." Christine said, Molly was getting fussy and it was time for a bottle.
"I've got it all planned out." John said, blowing his wife a kiss as Christine flipped him off.
"We will tonight baby." John said.
"I've got to get going, Sophie just texted me and I would rather listen to her talk about her job than listen to you two." Henry said.
"I got to go do someone's hair and makeup for Christmas pictures, I'll see you two lovebirds later." Olivia said.
"Unfortunately, I'm stuck here." Emily said.
"Speaking of Christmas pictures, I want everyone to be here on Saturday to help your daddy and I decorate the house and we have to get pictures for Christmas cards." Christine said as everyone groaned.
"Can you two keep your hands off each other for a few hours in order for that to happen?" Olivia asked.
"No." Both John and Christine said in unison.
"Trust me, when you get married, you will understand why your mother and I are all over each other." John said.
"Okay, Sophie and I will be here next Saturday." Henry said as he kissed his mother's cheek and hugged his dad.
"I'll be here as well, I love you both and keep them in line little penguin." Olivia said as she hugged and kissed both her mother and father's cheeks and Molly's.
"Ta!" Molly said as Olivia laughed.
"Tell them sis! Tell them to keep it down so we can sleep at night." Emily said as everyone looked at her.
"Holy shit! It's a Christmas miracle! Everyone record this epic fucking moment!" Henry said.
"Henry, don't curse in front of her." Christine said, referring to Molly as they all laughed.
"Mum, you do it all the time." Olivia said.
"I'm the Queen of this castle, I can say and do whatever I want to." Christine said.
"We already know." Emily said.
"I have to go." Henry said as he got his phone out to see Sophie calling him.
"Me too." Olivia said.
Henry and Olivia left while Molly was taking a nap and Emily went upstairs while Christine washed the breakfast dishes and John dried them off.
"I want to know more about this bet that I lost?" Christine questioned as she stopped for moment and stood up against the counter as John looked at her.
"Like what?" John answered.
"So, you'll be out of town when it happens and what am I going to do if you're out of town?" Christine asked.
"Okay, how do I explain this without you getting weirded out?" John questioned himself as Christine folded her arms.
"Weirded out, how?" Christine asked.
"I won't be here when the bet is in place but I ordered a few things that might ease your frustration while I'm not here." John said as Christine closed her eyes, knowing what he was talking about.
"You did not." Christine said.
"Oh but I did." John said.
"John, that's not the same thing, that's just hard plastic and some liquid in a bottle. You can't be seriously thinking that'll be better than you?" Christine questioned turning away but John pulled her to him by her hips and whispered in her ear.
"I'll be there with you but over the phone, you'll be able to relax more, I promise." John said.
"Phone sex? What are we? 20 something year old college students?" Christine questioned as she did not like this idea.
"We've done it many times before. Why not now?" John questioned as Christine relaxed into his embrace.
"Because it would make me miss you even more, I feel like I'm replacing you with a toy." Christine said.
"It's just for one night, then I'll be home and you can punish me later." John said as Christine smiled.
"Mhmm... I like that idea." Christine said as John kissed her but was interrupted by Molly starting to cry from her play pen.
"Hold that thought." Christine said, kissing him back as she went into the living room and seen Molly standing up as her hair stuck up wildly and she did her grabby hand motion for Christine to pick her up as she did and carried her into the kitchen.
"She just stood up in her play pen." Christine gushed over her."
"Two milestones in one day baby girl! Give daddy five!" John said as Molly didn't understand as he held his hand out to her and she smacked his hand.
"Let's go see what we can watch on TV." John said as all three went into the living room.
He scrolled through the channels and luckily, a penguin documentary as he clicked on it and they watched it, Molly beaming and shrieking with excitement as Emily came down the stairs.
"Oh cool, she's doing the happy dance!" Emily said.
"You used to do that, in the womb and when you hit the same milestones as her." Christine said.
"We have a home video diary of your movements in your mum's belly in rhythm of the dance." John said.
"You have those?" Emily asked.
"You want to watch them?" Christine asked.
"Please?" Emily questioned as John went to the cabinet and found them.
"Let's see here, which one babe?" John asked her as Christine stood beside him and read the labels.
"This one." Christine said as John put the VHS tape in the VCR player.
It started as the screen showed a very pregnant Christine walking around in her bikini on the beach with Henry and Olivia.
"Hi babies." John waved at her.
"Hi honey." Christine waved back and showed off her belly.
"Look at you baby, looking very beautiful at eight months pregnant." John said as Christine watched her kids play.
"Mum, how in the world did you get to a beach at eight months pregnant?" Emily asked her.
"I was so miserable during that month because it was so hot and the pool needed to be cleaned out back that I convinced your father to take me to the beach and let us relax." Christine said.
The camera switched to the next part where Henry and Olivia were putting seashells on her belly as baby Emily kicked them off and both kids laughed.
"She's kicking them off daddy." Olivia said as Christine held her stomach, feeling baby Emily kick her.
"What's wrong mummy?" Olivia asked her.
"Your baby sister is kicking my belly." Christine said.
"Can we feel mummy?" Henry asked as Christine placed their hands where Emily was kicking.
"Can you feel her kick?" John asked them.
"Yeah, it feels weird." Olivia said.
"Yeah, it feels like a weird moving lump." Henry said.
"How about you mummy? How are we feeling today?" John asked as he pointed the camera at her.
"I feel better but I'm ready for her to be here, in my arms and for me to hold." Christine said.
The video cut off and Christine was crying at this point as Emily hugged her mum.
"I'm so sorry mum." Emily hugged her so tight.
"It's okay baby, I know you're a teenager and you can't help it, but I do these things to teach you a lesson." Christine said, kissing her forehead and wiping her tears.
"I promise no more rebellious attitudes and I promise to be a better daughter." Emily said as Christine held her as John was crying too.
"Oh baby, you are perfect and I could not imagine the perfect little version of me." Christine said as she held held close to her chest as Emily breathed in the lulling scent of her mum's perfume and touched her songbird pendant along with the circle necklace they gifted her for her birthday this year adorned with their birthstones.
"Can we watch another one?" Emily asked her.
"Yes but John, don't play the birth one please?" Christine asked as John could not help but nod as he knew why.
"Why? I want to see it." Emily asked her.
"Okay." Christine said as John took the other one out and played the other one as it showed Christine in labor with Emily.
"Whoo! Hoo, hee hee, hoo." Christine labored as they were at the hospital.
"There's your mummy and daddy, Miss Emily." Mick's voice came in.
"Just walking back in from walking around and she's head down and Christine is very much in labor." John beamed proudly as Christine held onto him.
"How far is she dilated?" Mick asked him.
"Seven centimeters, she'll be here in no time." John said as Christine put her head on John's shoulder with her hands around the back of his neck and his hands on her belly, while looking at her heart rate as he stood up with her head on his stomach and his hands massaging her back.
"Ooh whoo hoo hoo mhmm." Christine was having a contraction, holding John's hands as her doctor walked in.
"You're doing so good baby, keep breathing in and out." John said as the monitors were beeping as they should.
The video cut to the next part as Christine was eating an ice chip.
"Hello mummy." John said as he waved.
"Hi baby, both of them." Christine said as she felt a contraction build up.
"Almost time for you to come into this world little one." John said.
"She'll be here soon, I hope." Christine said as she held his hand while he put the camera down and got in behind her as Mick held the camera.
"Any last words before our little star gets here?" Mick asked.
"We can't wait for you sweetheart, our whole family can't wait to meet you." Christine said as Stevie came in.
"There's Auntie Stevie, bringing mummy more ice chips as always." Mick said.
"Mick, quit filming me and film sleepyhead over there." Stevie said as she laughed at Lindsey, Mick pointed the camera at a sleeping Lindsey.
"He got more rest than I did that day, I was so tired but happy." Christine said.
"He won't be asleep long." John said as he rubbed Christine's shoulders and her back as Christine felt the urge to push as she pushed the button.
"I need to push! I want to push! She's coming!" Christine said as her doctor arrived with his nurses.
"You might want to look away at this next part baby, I could kill your Uncle Mick for filming this part." Christine said as Emily was awestruck about how beautiful her mum looked, even sweating she looked beautiful.
"When you have a contraction I want you to push until ten and stop." Her doctor said.
"I've been through this twice, I know how this whole process works." Christine said.
The video skipped to the scene of the birth as it showed every bit of the child bearing experience down there as red and mucus covered baby Emily came out of Christine.
"Mum!" Emily had to look away as she hid in Christine's neck.
"I know." Christine said.
"Jeez! I'm never having children after that." Emily said.
"Sorry sweetheart." Christine said as she couldn't help but laugh.
"It's not funny!" Emily said as she started laughing too.
"Your mum was a complete badass all three times having you three." John said.
"It was all thanks to you my love, couldn't have done without you sweetheart." Christine said as she high-fived him and he kissed her.
"Mm... Mama." Molly said as Emily looked at Christine as she looked at John.
Christine's heart fluttered hearing her say 'mama' just as her three babies did here in this very place.
""Mum, she just called you 'mama'." Emily said as she grabbed Molly and held her as Christine looked over at John with happy tears in her eyes.
"Yeah she did." Christine said as she couldn't be happier.
Later on that day, they ate dinner together and John could not help but stare at the beautiful sight of his wife and his daughters, Emily mashed up some peas for her sister as she ate them happily.
"How are you darling?" John asked his wife.
"Happy." Christine said.
