There was nothing Viola was fascinated more by than the atmosphere in a football stadium; how in one singular event, fans from all around the world could settle on something, being supporting their national team.

It felt like forever when she and her friends finally got to their seats, and it felt even longer because of her younger brother's complaints.

"Cruz, shush okay, don't scream in my ear, don't breath in my ear, don't do anything in my ear," she told him as they took their seats, Cruz reluctantly agreeing.

"Vivi, this feels lowkey like i'm betraying my origin," Farrah sighed as she hugged the blonde girl from behind as Viola looked at her in confusion.

"Your origin country didn't even qualify, what you waffling about?"

"Mine did," juliette answered, "both of them."

"I bet England's gonna smash them," Cruz predicted, "like the scores going to jaw dropping,"

"I can't tell if you're joking or not," she scoffed, "everyone knows England is good, but who knows maybe Iran will have an underdog story,"

"Match is starting and I see my dad, pretend you don't see him, especially you Rhodes," she looked at him as he gave her a sheepish smile in return; unfortunately her father ended up coming their way.

"Viola, Cruz, there you are!" he called out as he embraced her, smiling at his daughter's friends in acknowledgement.

"Hey dad," she smiled as he embraced her brother too. Juliette nudged rhodes, as she sniggered, the boy rolling his eyes as he tried to contain himself from the excitement that was meeting one of his favourite celebrities.

The whistle blew, officially signaling the start of the game as the sounds of sweet caroline boomed the walls of the stadium.

From the start, both sides were passionate, both eagerly trying to score. tactical, ambitious, intense.

Either it was her being patriotic, or her desire for Bukayo to prove everyone wrong, that she was edged on her seat everytime the chance came for them to score.

First half it was clear England was dominating. So many chances created, just those small things that led to the score still being zero all.

Until Luke Shaw took the corner which resulted in Jude heading it in.

Not a single word could describe the eruption of the crowd the second the ball went in. Viola herself beamed, knowing full well despite it being a man representing his country, it was a teenager fulfilling his dream.

And then, only less than 10 minutes later did he do it. Bukayo Saka making his country and people proud once more.

She couldn't believe it as herself joined the millions in the crowd in celebration so successfully forgetting about the final a year prior.

Behind her back, her friends and brother shared the same knowing look. Though Viola didn't know it, her loved ones knew first. They saw the look in her eye the second the ball hit the net, they saw that very same look of appreciation and love she had during the time course of their relationship. The same look became more obvious when Bukayo scored again after halftime.

But it was such an amazing thing to see, the boy everyone once turned on for making a mistake now proving everyone wrong in his World Cup debut. Yet now the ones who turned on him pretend to never of said those exact words that affected him indescribably.

Around fifteen minutes after the final whistle was blown, the players went to Violas section and straight to the support of their loved ones.

However after all the embrace from his family ( especially his mother ), he went straight to the Beckham girl, catching her out of surprise.

“Hey,” he smiled as he sat next to her, viola smiling back after slightly jumping when he greeted her.

“Hey, how are you feeling after that masterclass?”

“To be honest. . . I feel amazing. I love this job,” he laughed as Viola gave him a hug, the same tight and supportive hugs she'd give him whilst they were together. and it gave him the same rush of content as he returned it.

On the side, Farrah sighed as she stared at her phone as well as her best friend, “ugh they need to stop the sideline love and just get back together already it's driving me nuts.”

“For real,” Jude sighed as he too watched his close teammate, his head in his palms as he couldn't bare to watch the two resist each other.

“Literally everyone can see it, they just can't see it themselves,” Rhodes sighed.

“Oh by the way Farrah are you going to see your situationship on Thursday?” Juliette asked her friend in pure genuality, yet the look Farrah gave her could crush diamonds.

“He's not my situationship, he just keeps sliding into my dms. why would I go to watch a watch for someone who's been taking the piss the past week?” Farrah huffed as Jude and Rhodes laughed hysterically, particularly at the girl's denial.

“Imagine having a situationship, come on Farrah you can do better than that,” the Brum Boy cackled, and his laugh eventually led to juliette snorting too.

Only Farrah rolled her eyes at their immaturity, “I know I can do better than that, except his English is worse than my grandmother and thinks me leaving him on seen means I want him.”

“He wants you so bad,” Juliette laughed, Jude holding onto her arm to stop himself from sliding down his seat.

“Do I look like Viola and Bukayo to you? no, so shush about my lovelife and go get your own,” she huffed as Rhodes and the Bellingham boy kept snickering every now and then as they watched their friends in dead set silence, the Romero girl looking at them reminding them to stop even though she too was giggling.

teased two books here oh em gee 🤗 i <3 jude and trents dynamics with farrah, juliette and rhodes it's too funny. the reason why this chapter took so long to come out is bc i couldn't find the perfect image for violas story and no one went to the england vs iran match too so 💀

can i just say this match is so nostalgic, watching the wc during wet lunch >>>> saka and judes masterclass had everyone floored. i miss the world cup. i'm still in my world cup phase.

england gc i think is lacking, probably gonna give slabhead and phil more screen time, maybe ramsdale 😨 not too sure.
