13 - Haircut
Hey guys. Sorry of I haven't wrote anything for awhile. I've been very busy. :3 but anyway, do enjoy! :)
~
I've been searching clothes to wear like I'm going on a date. Elsa, you. Are. JUST. GOING. TO. A. PARLOR. K? Why do I have to be so worked up about my clothes? Anything will be fine.
"No, I don't think this is pretty.... no. *groans* Why do I have to endure all of thi—"
"Hey, what's all this mess? Why are your clothes all on the ground?" My mom, with a facemask. I don't know what the big deal is with facemasks these days. I find it very disgusting. "Don't tell me... You're going on a date?!"
"Mom, no. It's not like that. You know why I'm leavi—"
"Good luck!" And she does this "like" sign. Then she proceeds to what she was doing. So these are her errands. *sighs*
Jack and I agreed that we'd be meeting at 11:30AM at the park so it wouldn't be much of a hassle for him. Especially when there's traffic.
"It's 10:45. I should get going." With that, I left.
1 hour later...
I ran as fast as I can. 11:45AM according to my watch. Oh no, I'm so late. I've never been so nervous about getting a haircut. Elsa, stop being so nervous. You're gonna be fine.
After all the search for clothes, I settled in with a white shirt, a blue jacket, and black leggings. So much for the dress and stuff.
I arrived at the meeting place later on. I saw him looking through his phone, standing there. He looks good, like he always do. Here I am, catching my breathe, so tired from that running.
"You're late! You've got the nerve to be late on our date." He says, smiling.
"This is not a date. I'm just getting a haircut."
"Nope! This. Is. A. Date." He insisted.
He's a stubborn guy. Too stubborn. But I can't help but agree. We're going together and no matter where I look at it, it really does look like a date.
"Hey, look at that guy. He looks so handsome"
"I know right? Do you think he has a girlfriend?"
"I think she's the girlfriend."
"Impossible. She looks more like an aunt."
"Probably."
*laughs*
"Hello mister. I'm from the Guess Company and I'm looking for new models..." says the woman who approached Jack.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not into modelling."
I feel so far away from him whenever I hear these words from someone else. 'He's handsome' 'I want him to be my guy.' and here I look like his aunt or mom. Even if Jack insists that we're 'dating', he's not really aware of what people actually think about us, or if people doesn't really notice our 'status'. He's up there and I'm down here but he went deep to get me.
"Hm? What's wrong, Elsa?" Jack faced to me with worry on his face.
"Huh? Oh no no. It's nothing."
He stared at me for a minute then held my hand. "I know you're bothered. Stop listening to them. What matters is us. Okay?" I felt resolved. Relieved that he didn't care. I held his hand, tighter and went on with our day.
"Hey, we should eat first." Jack suggested.
"No! I need to get my hair done."
"Did you book an appointment?"
To be honest, I didn't. I don't have any contacts to any parlours. I knew I should've booked yesterday. Now I can't escape this.
"Hahahaha, let's eat. Okay? My treat."
"N...no, Jack. That's too much. Besides, I've already eate--"
Stomach, growling. Too clichè, Elsa, too clichè.
"Hahahaha, come on. Like it or not, my treat. That's final." Jack said while smiling.
We've been holding hands while walking and people have stopped talking about him. They were just either amazed that I was dating him or disappointed that he was dating me.
I can't help but feel bad that he chose to talk to me out of all the people who were more amazing than me. He could've chosen other girls that were prettier than me. Yet, here I am, holding his hand. I don't know if I should feel lucky and honoured or bad and scared for this.
We're at a cafè and he ordered me a strawberry cheesecake. How did he even know that this was my favourite?
"H...how did you know this was my favourite?"
"Oh really? Hahaha, what a coincidence. I never knew. You kinda look like the type that would crave a strawberry cheesecake so that's what I ordered." He paused for awhile then he put his hands below his chin. "You? What flavor do you think of me?"
Heh?
Heh?
HEH?
What kind of a question is that?! Flavor? How should I know?! Hm, let's see. He has blue eyes, silver white hair, pale skin, Vanilla? No.. He usually wears blue..
"Blueberry?"
"EEEHHH. Wrong. It's actually chocolate." What.
"R..really? You don't look like you're the type of person to eat chocolate. And you always wear something that's colour blue. How.."
"Just kidding. You're correct." Then he laughs.
We continued like that until we got to the parlour. I asked the hairstylist to just trim my hair but she insisted that she makes up a style with my hair.
"...in fact, your hair is wonderful. It's so smooth. You've been taking care of your hair like mad, haven't you?"
"Ah no. In fact, I'm not really a 'hair-mad' girl. It's just the way it is."
Then we proceeded.
A few minutes later, I was done. It was just a common layered cut. Nothing special like I'd thought it would be. But I kinda love the style on my hair. Even if I'm not that good with hair, I can say that it suits me.
I went to Jack who was waiting in front. He must've been irritated by now for waiting so long. Maybe I should thank him with a blueberry cupcake?
"Jack..." He was looking outside, probably thinking about something. He didn't hear me at first but it's okay. I just want to look at him first before calling his name again.
His pale face reflects the light of the sun. His hands that hid his pockets. His eyes that are as blue as the ocean. He's unavoidable to look at. He stands out too much, especially with his looks, his silver white hair, his pale skin. This time I call him again.
"J..Jack... I'm done."
"Yay! I'm so excited to loo--" he paused. His eyes, widened.
"D...do I look alright?" I blushed, hard. I know it suits me but I want to know if he also thinks so.
He was still standing there, surprised. I don't know what's in his thoughts so maybe he's processing all the words he'll say.
"Ahh... you look amazing. Just... wow."
"T...thank you, Jack."
We both smiled. After all this, I insisted that I treat him to anywhere he likes, but he insisted that he doesn't want to, that no lady should do that to his man. Or, something like that.
We reached my apartment. I was about to go but he stopped me.
"See you. Okay?" He said while blushing.
"See you." I smiled.
"Okay?"
"Okay."
Then out of the blue, he kissed me. Not a hard and forced one, just a peck.
"Bye." he said.
Today was fun. I'm glad it was.
~
HEYYYY! So, how was it? Damn, everytime I write their names, I have the urge to add "-chan" or "-kun". I'm sorry if it took me long enough to write. Almost a year I think. But good news, I'll be writing again! :D Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter :D
