He watched as she tore through the book.

She read insanely fast.

He opened Savvy as well, a book he had read dozens of times.

But focus he lacked as he found his eyes

slowly drifting to her.

"Whatcha got there?"

His voice seemed to startle her.

He tilted his head to see that

in her hands she held How To Be An Explorer of the World.

"You know, you don't need a book to know how to be an explorer of the world."

She looked at him,

eyes slightly squinted in curiosity.

"Instead, you could just talk to me."

She smiled

but still said nothing.
