Raavi was sitting on the terrace. Her mami, Anita and maa had arrived just an hour ago. Dhara had strictly told her not to say anything to them. Raavi would have been glad to see them but she was too preoccupied with what happened downstairs sometime back. Rishita insulted her and blamed her about coming between her and Dev. Raavi had zero interest in doing that, but she couldn't hold back her tears.

She had no interest in Dev. Ever since she saw Dev getting married to Rishita, she gave up on him. She realised he was never hers and the whole thing had just been her dream. Even the beautiful sunset did little to calm her heart. Rishita hurling those false accusations hurt, but what hurt her the most was the truth of it. She really has no love in her life. Raavi, too, had dreams about having a husband who would love her more than everything else, someone who would kiss her in the rain. But those dreams might never come true.

"Raavi."

Raavi looked back to see Dev calling out to her. They never had a conversation alone since his marriage. Why was he here now? If Rishita saw them, she would throw another accusation at Raavi. So she decided to walk away, but Dev held her hand.

"Mujhe tumse baat karni hai Raavi. Ruk jao." Dev said.

"Mujhe koi baat nahi karni Dev." Raavi said.

"Main tumse maafi mangna chahta hu abhi jo kuch bhi hua niche uske liye." Dev said. "Rishita ko aisa nahi kehna chahiye tha. Dekho, woh dil ki buri nahi hai. Bas gusse mein kuch bhi bol deti hai."

Raavi couldn't believe Dev was still defending his wife even after everything. Not only did she insult Raavi, she also insulted Dhara di. Dev could have said something then, for his bhabhi atleast. But he was too busy diffusing the situation. He didn't take a stand for his bhabhi. If it had been Shiva, he would have done something. He wouldn't have let his bhabhi get insulted. Raavi was sure he wouldn't let this matter go, he will definitely do something. She trusted him there.

"Dev, mujhe iss baare mein koi baat nahi karni."

"Mujhe karni hai. Raavi, ab humare beech mein bhi ek rishta hai. Tum mere chote bhai ki biwi ho." Dev said.

"Rishton ki baat na ki jaye toh achha hai. Main bhi toh Rishita ki Devraani hu na, aur Dhara di uski bhabhi. Mujhe choro, par Dhara di toh rishte mein bari hai. Toh Rishita ne yeh sab kaise keh diya?"

"Rishita ko inn rishto ko samajhne mein waqt lagega." Dev said. "Main tumhara gunehgar hu. Tumhara aur Shiva ka. Meri wajah se tum dono iss rishte mein bandh gaye ho. Agar koi bhi narazagi hai toh woh tumhe mujhse honi chahiye.

"Dev bas ek baat mujhe samajh nahi aayi." Raavi asked. "Pandya parivaar iss pure Somnath ki best family hai! Aaj tak unhone kabhi bhi tumhe kisi baat ke liye na nahi kahi, humesha support kiya. Toh tumne unse apne rishte ki baat kyu chupayi?"

"Rishita ki family... tum toh dekh hi chuki ho. Aur deri karte karte pata nahi kyu par darr lagne laga."

Raavi didn't have anything more to say. If he didn't have the courage to accept Rishita in front of his family, then he probably didn't even deserve her. She never thought Dev to be a coward. She always thought of him as her saviour. He would save her from Shiva, the villain of her life. But life was funny! The villain of her life saved her from dying.

"Shiva ne kaha tha ki main tumhe sab bata du, par..." Dev couldn't continue. "Sab meri galti hai."

He was right of course. But Raavi wasn't mad at him. In fact, she felt nothing towards him. Looking back, she was glad Shiva saved her. It would have been a waste to die for Dev. He didn't even have the decency to come and check up on her. Instead, all she got was his wife's humiliation. He didn't save her then. Perhaps he was never her saviour. She had gotten this whole story wrong. Dev was never her Prince Charming. He was just a side character.

"Galti toh meri hai jo main bachpan se life ko ek fairy tale maanti aayi. Koi prince, princess, knight in shining armour nahi hota." Raavi said. "Arrey meri toh mere story ke villain se hi shaadi ho gayi."

"Shiva villain nahi hai Raavi." Dev said. "Ho sakta hai wohi tumhara prince ho."

"Nahi Dev. Ab mujhe koi prince nahi chahiye. Mujhe toh reality ka saamna karna parega."

"Raavi, tumhare maasi ki wajah se humare dad ki death hui thi. Aur Shiva isi wajah se tumse aise behave karta aaya hai. Par trust me, Shiva dil se tumse nafrat nahi karta." Dev tried to make her understand. If Shiva-Raavi got together, it would ease up his conscience a little. "Ab woh tumhara pati hai. Aur mujhe apne bhai pe pura vishwaas hai ki woh iss shaadi toh puri imaandari se nibhayega. Tum dono ka rishta toh humesha se special raha hai Raavi. Tum use samajhti ho, tumhe bas use kaise samjhana hai woh sikhna parega. Then trust me, Shiva tumhara Prince Charming banke dikhayega."

Raavi didn't say anything more. Could Shiva ever be her Prince Charming? He certainly wasn't her villain anymore. And Raavi knew, however rude he was, no matter how many pranks he played on her, he would never hurt her intentionally. At least not like Dev. If Shiva had been in Dev's place, he would've told everyone about Rishita two years back, and he would have dealt with Janardhan too. She didn't know why she was comparing both the brothers. It was wrong to compare two people. But turns out, Dev wasn't the man she thought he was. She realised that she respected Shiva way more than she respected Dev. Shiva was her kind of person.

Suddenly, Raavi had this desire to be with Shiva. She smiled at Dev and rushed towards her own bedroom.
