"Bloodthirsty's more like it!"
"Dude, Maeve hasn't clobbered anyone yet. What are you-"
"Are all these yours?" A young boy asked and I raised an eyebrow.
"Dude, who's the toddler? Because-"
"Step away from the Robin suit if you want to keep your hands!" I warned and shot a rubber bullet next to the kid's head and between mine and Jason's memorial cases. "Don't touch that again if you know what's good for you."
"Who the hell is this kid!?" Tim yelled.
"Meet Damian Wayne... your father's biological son." Dick sneered as Damian walked to us with a smirk.
"The only son."
"Blood doesn't make you a son, Damian." I spat and immediately recognized him. "Sweet baby Jesus... is he Talia's boy?"
"Yep."
"I'll be taking this, thank you." Damian gestured to Tim's suit and I had to restrain him from attacking.
"Not yours to take, dipshit. I earned this!" He protested and I slapped a hand over his mouth.
"It's my birthright... though, it'll need some adjustment since the only thing that's missing is lace and a sun hat-"
"Listen here and listen well, you little shit." Dick sneered, standing up and pushed Damian away from me and Tim. "Robin isn't yours to take. It's not your birthright and it'll never be it. You have to earn it like the ones before and you're doing a piss poor job at it."
"Maybe you three should remember who the blood son is."
"And maybe you should remember which ones he actually wanted." I called out. "Especially me and Dick. So I suggest you keep your mouth shut-"
"Or else what?" Damian taunted and stood in front of me. "You'll go crazy like your father?"
"I'm killing him. I'm actually going to kill him." I grinned, pulling out the crowbar but Tim swiftly kicked it from my hands.
"Too many witnesses, Mom. Maybe in his sleep."
"Tempting."
"Dick, Maeve, a word." Bruce summoned and we made our way to the Batcomputer. "I need you two to take Tim until tensions wear off, Damian's staying with me."
"So that's it? We don't get an explanation as to why that... that demon spawn is here!?" I yelled and he shrugged. "I'm too pregnant for this."
"You're a month along."
"Exactly!"
"For how long exactly is the child staying?" Dick asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Permanently."
"HE'S WHAT!?" We yelled in unison and Damian turned to us with a raised eyebrow.
"Why do Grayson and Napier two sync like that?"
"Wayne." I corrected. "Don't call me by Joker's name again if you don't want me to rip out your teeth one by one and shove them up your-"
"Napier. You are not my father's daughter." He shrugged and I lunged at him but Dick and Bruce held me back while Alfred stood in a corner rubbing his temples.
"I'm more a daughter to him than you'll ever be a son, you poor excuse of an assassin!" I yelled, grabbing my guns but Dick kicked them away. "Come say that shit to my face, al Ghul! I still have five percent of crazy left in me which is more than enough to knock your ass out!"
"Stop beefing with an eleven year old, it's embarrassing." Dick whispered. "But please bring him back to Earth."
"Beat his ass, Mom!" Steph encouraged, standing next to Alfred and Cass with a bowl of popcorn.
"What she said!" Tim continued.
"I'm putting the fear of God in that kid if he thinks he can keep talking shit." I broke free from Bruce's death grip and immediately made my way towards Damian.
"Maeve, that's a child!" Bruce defended.
I picked up Damian by the neck and saw genuine fear on his eyes for a brief moment.
"Mention the Joker's last name again and whatever your mother put you through, I'll make sure it seems like a perfect childhood after I'm through with you. You have an opportunity to let go of your past like I did, don't make us feel like we're wasting our time with you." I slowly set him down and he nodded. "I don't give warnings, so consider this your first and final warning, Damian Wayne."
"I'm... I'm not scared of you." Damian said, taking a step back and rubbed his neck.
"You will be soon enough." I smirked and stepped back as well. "We don't have time for this. Dad, we're late for the Arkham City thing."
"The what now?" Steph raised an eyebrow. "Didn't we just get those people locked up again?"
"It's a political thing and we're being forced to get involved."
"But you hate politics." Dick pointed out.
"Believe me, I'd rather beat up the little shit than be in the middle of a political war in this forsaken city." I sighed and kissed his cheek. "I'll be back in three hours tops. This shouldn't be too long."
"Be safe and wear your comms. The riots are pretty bad."
"Always am, birdie."

"You sure you're okay wearing that?"
"Hey, soon I'm gonna be too pregnant to even stand up properly. I'm enjoying these abs for as long as I possibly can." I shrugged, getting out of the limo and was immediately met with flashes and people screaming. "Okay, everyone! Settle down, please!"
"No eye contact. Keep it straight ahead and remember why we're here." Bruce whispered, guiding me to the small stage that was set up and shielded me from the paparazzi. "All yours, Mrs. Wayne-Grayson."
"You do know that at this point you're just here to look pretty for the cameras, right? I'm taking care of everything."
"You saved the business from bankruptcy, you're doing the speeches from now on. I'm here to model for the press." He shrugged and turned on the microphone for me. "All yours."
"Imprisoned behind these walls, gang leaders are fighting a bloody war in the middle of our beloved city. Every inmate from Arkham Asylum and Blackgate prison have been relocated to this facility. But how can this be safe for the people of Gotham? Tonight, my father and I are starting the campaign to shut down Arkham City and make Gotham the city it once was!" I said and the majority starting protesting. "Let's face facts here! We cannot keep depending on people like Batman and company to protect us! We need to do our part as well... and it starts now!"
"Maeve, look out!" Bruce yelled and shielded me from incoming gunshots.
"This is why I hate politics!" I grumbled and was suddenly picked up by a man in what appeared to be military armor. "Let me go, asshole!"
"Targets secured."

"Maeve. Maeve, wake up!"
"I'm awake!" I jumped and tried to move my arms but quickly noticed I was tied to a chair. "Oh, these people are so screwed... Nightwing's not gonna like this."
"The baby?" Bruce whispered.
"Not bleeding, so it's fine. We both are."
"Let me introduce myself. I am Professor Hugo Strange and I am in charge of the Arkham City facility."
"Stay still and I'll get you-" Bruce was interrupted by my lifting my arms and slid out of the chains with almost no difficulty. "How did you-"
"Never underestimate the power of a bobby pin and a contortionist. I always keep a few on my sleeves whenever I go out in case something like this happens. Can't be too careful these days, Dad." I grinned and moved to set him free but a door opened and I was pushed to the ground.
"Think we couldn't see you, Waynes?" A goon spat and moved to kick my stomach but I grabbed his ankle and yanked him to the ground before twisting it, inevitably breaking it.
"Touch me again and I'll gouge your eyes out with my heel." I sneered, being handcuffed again and dragged out of the room with Bruce trailing behind.
"Line A, move it!"
"Keep moving and do not make a sound." Bruce whispered as I fumbled around with my sleeve and grabbed another bobby pin.
It's a good thing Selina taught me to fight in So Kate heels since I was fifteen.
"Hey, Mrs. Grayson! Why don't you come over and sit on this one! I'm sure it's better than the Falling Grayson's."
"Heard Penguin's got a price on both your heads. I'm gonna be the one cashing in!"
"Everyone out of the way. Waynes, come here!" A guard yelled and the prisoners parted to make room. "Ladies first."
"Bet that mouth's good for other things, Grayson. Why don't you say we-" I cut off the prisoner by kneeing him in the groin and pressed my heel close to his jugular.
"One more remark outta any of you and I'll have enough blood to paint the town red for as long as I please." I hissed, being dragged away again. "You don't scare me, Strange! I grew up in the slumps!"
"Close the doors and prepare for insertion." Strange ordered and held my face. "Such a pretty face... it's a shame really what you're destined to become."
"Bite me."
Once the door closed, I broke free of the handcuffs and turned to Bruce to unlock him but he refused.
"You can fight in those heels?"
"You have no idea... I'm wearing six inch heels, and five weeks pregnant. These lunatics won't know what hit them."
"Then go crazy." He smirked once another door opened and I grinned like a maniac making all the prisoners hesitate for a few seconds.
"Oh, you people are so screwed!" I cackled and they all took a step back. "Allow me to reintroduce myself. I'm Maeve Wayne- Grayson, and I'm here to kick your asses until next year."
Giving them no room to regroup and think, I ran up to one of them and pushed him back onto the chain fence and climbed up, using my heels to stab his shoulders while Bruce knocked him out with ease.
"Maeve, ten o'clock!" Bruce yelled just as one of the prisoners grabbed my leg. I shook it off and pressed the heel onto his nose until I heard a crack.
Looking up, I saw Jason standing over a building with a sniper rifle and shot one of the prisoners next to me before waving and running away.
He's okay... thank God he's okay.
"Dad, I see an opening!" I called out, reaching out to take off one of my heels and stabbed a prisoner in the eye with it.
"Your ass is mine, Grayson!" Another one yelled, yanking my legs down until I was sitting on his shoulders. I just rolled my eyes and crossed my legs, holding onto the fence and moved to bash his head against it until he lost consciousness.
"Some people have zero respect for the opposite sex, I swear!" I huffed, taking off my other shoe and kept climbing up the fence. "Dad!"
"Right behind you." He said and I looked down to see him finally free of the handcuffs. "Keep climbing!"
Once we reached to the top, Bruce stumbled and almost fell but I held his hands to keep him steady.
"One foot in front of the other, arms out for balance and walk fast, don't run and watch out for the wire." I ordered and we both started walking. "Y'know, I missed these bonding times."
"Next time, we'll go out to dinner. I'm tired of your ideas of bonding time."
"Hey, don't blame me. Blame the way I was raised."
"Maeve, I just received your location. I'm sending the boys." Barbara's voice rung out through my comms and I sighed in relief. "Wait, no... Nightwing's beating the crap out of Strange... and I lost communication with him. He got captured and Red Robin's nowhere to be found."
"He's inside!?" I yelled and turned to Bruce. "I'm going back inside. I'll make it look like I fell or some shit."
"Maeve-"
"Oracle lost contact with Red and Nightwing."
"Orphan, Spoiler and Batwoman are handling a riot uptown. I've got no backup. Alfred's handling the demon spawn and he's refusing to help."
"You have me, Oracle. I'm going down."
"But the baby-"
"Is fine. We'll both be fine!"
。゚•┈୨🃏୧┈• 。゚
"Get in there, you!"
"Mrs. Grayson!? What are you-"
"Oh, shut up, Nightwing." I grumbled, sitting up and glared at him and Tim. "You two are complete idiots, you know that right? You're vigilantes for the love of God! You're not supposed to be captured!"
In order to get Dick and Tim out, I decided to let myself be captured again and hope for the best.
I'm kicking their asses once we're home.
"Says the woman who let herself be captured." Tim pointed out.
"I was held at gunpoint and was knocked out by a rifle! I don't carry guns on me! I'm trying a peaceful approach and look where it got me."
"Wakey, wakey, Wayne." Cobblepot sung out as he opened the door. "I see you've become acquainted with your rescuers."
"Oh, bite me, Cobblepot. I'm not in the mood." I rolled my eyes and leaned back against the wall, using one of the shards of glass on the floor to cut my rope.
"Your family destroyed mine, Wayne."
"My dad's. I'm adopted, remember?" I smirked and turned to Dick. "And here I thought the white hair and carved smile was a dead giveaway that I was in an orphanage."
"Don't look at me, Mrs. Grayson. I don't keep up with the press. I'm just here to do my job." He shrugged.
"And doing a piss poor job apparently."
"Tit for tat, Wayne." Cobblepot said and I scoffed.
"Grayson, actually. I'm a married woman now."
"You still inherit the entire Wayne fortune... call this some good old-fashioned revenge." He said as I was hoisted up by his goons and he slipped on some brass knuckles. "Such a shame to damage a pretty face like yours, love."
"Wish I could same the same about yours... I'll send you the number of my plastic surgeon. Maybe we can start with a nose job." I grinned and bashed my head against his, finally cutting the last of my rope and turned to the two goons. Grabbing one of their guns, I shot both of their kneecaps and then pointed it at Cobblepot. "Allow me to reintroduce myself since last time we met I was a defenseless teenager... Name's Maeve Elizabeth Wayne-Grayson and I fear no man."
"I run this town, Wayne." He said and I shot his shoulder. "You bitch!"
"I run this city, Oswald. Nobody has more power than I do." I said and hit in the head with the back of the gun, knocking him out before rushing to release Dick and Tim.
"Wanna yell at me now or when we get out of here?" I whispered.
"I was mad... now, I'm just turned on a bit." Dick smirked and Tim groaned.
"Spandex, Nightwing. Keep it in your spandex."
"There's probably a fight outside... and there's most likely a dude with a heel shoved into his eye socket." I admitted and they both widened their eyes. "I didn't kill the guy!"
"Y'know what? We'll deal with it when we get here. There's a way out without having to cross that. That's how we came in."
"Then let's get the hell out of here."
。゚•┈୨🃏୧┈• 。゚
"The usual bumps and bruises, Miss Maeve. You should be fine."
"You're the best, Alfred."
"The hell's going on inside that shithole? B sent us all back home and that he's not coming back until he fixes it." Stephanie called out, walking into the kitchen and removed her mask.
"Strange and Cobblepot took over Arkham City. I couldn't find out much... the prisoners started making remarks and I started bashing heads and shooting at kneecaps." I shrugged, rubbing my temples as a cup of tea was placed in front of me.
"I thought I feared you on a normal day. The pregnancy hormones turn you into a menace." Tim shuddered.
"I was pissed off because you two got yourselves captured! Who the fuck does that!?"
"We were ambushed!"
"So was I and I managed to get out. And I did it in six inch heels and pregnant! Not to mention I fought dudes three times my size, told Strange to bite me, and shot Cobblepot all in the span of an hour. I didn't even warm up beforehand."
"This is all getting out of hand, guys. I've never seen the city like this." Steph sat on the counter but Alfred pushed her off. "Right, right. No blood on the freshly cleaned counters, I know."
"It's Arkham all over again." Dick mumbled and my jaw clenched. "The city was exactly like this the day Jason was taken by Joker. It stayed like this for two days until Mae was taken and B and I went ballistic on everybody trying to find them... after that week and Jay died, there wasn't a single crime committed in almost four or five months, even in daylight. Everyone was too afraid of the Batman and Domino grieving a Robin."
"Which is why, until Bruce handles this, we're all staying here in the Manor. Steph, you can stay in my old room." I decided and Alfred smiled. "For once, B has to deal with this alone for all of our safeties. This isn't our fight."
"Then why call yourselves vigilantes." Damian wondered and Tim groaned, banging his head on the table.
"Listen, demon spawn. I've been doing this longer than you've been alive, I know how my city works. And what's best for all of us and Bruce, is that we all stay where we are because we're safe and he doesn't have to worry about his family running around and getting hurt. Especially when one of them is five weeks pregnant."
"And you just make the decisions for all of us?"
"She raised us, so yeah." Tim pointed out. "She's been here since the beginning."
"Out of everybody in this room, Maeve is the only one who knows how these people work." Dick added and helped me stand. "When Bruce isn't here, we're in charge. So it's bedtime for you."
"I want cameras and motion detectors in his room so he doesn't run off." I whispered to Alfred who nodded.
"Master Bruce ordered the same thing while you were changing, Miss Maeve."
"Good. I'll be in the Cave keeping an eye on Dad with Oracle and Dick and I will head out at dawn to bring him home."
。゚•┈୨🃏୧┈• 。゚
"Batman!"
"Arkham's city shut down... for good." Bruce mumbled before falling to his knees in exhaustion. "It's done."
"You did good, B. You did real good." I assured and he nodded shakily. "Did you-"
"I saw Joker... he's sick and will probably die soon."
"What do you-"
"His blood is poisoned." He said holding up a vial half full of blood. "Coming back to life is slowly killing him again."
"Can't say I feel bad for the guy, but that's just insane." Dick mumbled and helped Bruce stand, both of us slinging his arms over our shoulders. "Domino, you're quiet."
"I don't have anything nice to say, so I'm choosing not to say anything at all. I'm working on my manners, Nightwing. Got a little acrobat on the way so I gotta set a good example." I shrugged and turned on my comms. "Oracle, Alfred, we've got him. I need a bed, stitching kit, a saline IV, sedatives and a hell lot of ice."
"Roger that. I'm Zeta-ing to the Cave now to help set up everything. We'll analyze Joker's blood when we're all well rested." Barbara said and I nodded.
"I'm fine!" Bruce pushed us away and tried to walk on his own but fell to his knees again.
"B, let's not go through this again. You've put us through twelve years of torture by doing this." Dick sighed, reaching out to help him again. "You took down an entire city by yourself. You need to rest."
"Master Tim is on his way with the Car now, Miss Maeve. He brings the sedative."
"You're a lifesaver, Alfred." I smiled and right on cue, Tim arrived. "A little help here, Red?"
"Jesus Christ, B. You're barely hanging on." Tim winced and injected Bruce with the sedative. "We've got around one minute to help him get in the car before he collapses. This thing is almost a horse tranquilizer."
"It's not done." Bruce managed to say and looked up at me. "We have work to do."
"We'll get to it, Batsy. For now, let's get you home so we can patch you up."
