"The natural disasters have escalated. The rest of the League is spread thin, saving lives across the globe."

"It's Black Beetle's MFD's. The Magnetic Field Disrupters the Reach seeded at multiple locations across the Earth. They're causing a deterioration of the planet's magnetic field, which in turn is causing these not-so-natural disasters. I can locate all the MFD's, but each is defended by beetle tech drones programmed to run interference until the MFD can build up enough steam to go chrysalis and end the world."

"How do we shut them down?" I called out from a separate computer, trying to run a facial recognition on the Arkham Knight but getting nowhere.

"I don't know. Because Black Beetle didn't know... There's no failsafe. This was an endgame." Jaime sighed.

"Your obsession with the Knight has gotten worse since he tried to kill Robin, funny girl. I need you to focus on the bigger picture here." Dick sighed, trying to pull me away from the computer.

"This asshole doesn't get to win like this. I will find out who he is." I said as the screen disappeared. "He knows my identity and sounded like our Jaybird, bird boy. I can't let that slide."

"I'm not saying to ignore it. I'm just saying we have a bigger issue to face right now than the Knight."

"So I put a pin on it?"

"Until this is over and we're home safe. Then, the Knight better count his days. Asshole won't be living for long after he hurt our baby wing."

"I think I can live with that."

"Every single Magnetic Field Disrupter must be disabled before they chrysalis to guarantee Earth's safety. Each MFD is protected by multiple beetle tech drones, And each drone is the equivalent of a beetle warrior. Blue Beetle has located 20 MFD's around the world. There's 40 of us assembled here, so you'll be in squads of two."

"Already know who I'm teaming up with." Dick whispered and I elbowed his side.

"You will all be issued multiple Reach tech eggs Containing my anti-Reach virus software. While one hero runs interference with the drones, the other only has to physically touch his or her egg against an MFD to disable it." Luthor continued and I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

"I'm trusting him why?" I mumbled and Barbara chuckled.

"His world too, Domino. You think he'd want it to turn to dust?"

"Good point."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the fate of the world is in your hands." Captain Atom dismissed us.

"Hey, monkey!" Artemis called out. "Stay safe... Boy Wonder, you take care of my baby sis."

"As long as you take care of my big bro, Artemis." Dick smirked.

"Take care of my baby bro, Domino." Wally added, wrapping an arm around Artemis and kissed her cheek.

"As long as you take care of my big sis, KF."

"Nightwing, place the damn egg! I'm almost out of bombs!"

"Gotta get in range first, babe!" Dick called back, dodging one of the blasts. "Y'know... this would make a nice place for a vacation. Has nice beaches, museums, and good food. We could take two weeks here no problem!"

"Let's make sure Greece doesn't blow up first and then we can talk about it." I said, shocking the Reach bots as Dick slid under and placed the egg on the MFD causing the remaining bots to power down. "Oh, thank fuck!"

"Lambda squad has successfully taken down the MFD."

"One less thing to deal with." I sighed in relief. Dick smiled, taking off his mask and picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist. "Greece is your idea of a vacation?"

"Come on! We could start in Athens and work our way around. Go to all the museums and landmarks, and then we can finish it off at Santorini or we could rent a beach house in Crete where it's just us. No phones, no Team or Gotham and Blüdhaven... just Maeve and Dick." He said and pecked my lips before reaching down and touched a pocket on his belt, letting out a small sigh of relief.

"You've been doing that a lot lately."

"Kissing my girl? I think I should be doing it more if I'm being honest."

"Checking that specific pocket in your belt, dumbass."

"My good luck charm's in there. Just making sure it's safe where it belongs."

"Whatever you say, Richard." I smirked and jumped down, turning my attention to the sunset. "Greece really is beautiful... maybe we can vacation here and the next one can be in Fiji."

"Mae, I have something-"

"Omega to Lambda. Come in." Artemis' voice rang out through our comms and I heard Dick sigh.

"Read you loud and clear, Omega."

"There's a last MFD. Kid Flash, Impulse and Flash are trying to neutralize it!"

"Where?" I asked alarmed and turned around.

"The Arctic!"

"There's no Zeta's to the Arctic." Dick realized and slipped on his mask again. "Artemis, rendezvous at our location. I'm sending you the coordinates. Don't do anything stupid!"

"Already on our way." She said and the transmission ended.

"Why is there always something interrupting our moments?" I chuckled and he shrugged. "You were gonna tell me something?"

"Forgot what it was. Maybe it'll come back later and I'll tell you."

"Was it important?"

"Don't think so."

"Then it can wait until later. We have bigger issues to take care of right now."

"They're slowing it down!"

"Come on, Wall... one more and you're done for good." I whispered, reaching out to hold Artemis' hand. "Come on, big brother... one more push."

"He's not fast enough!" Connor yelled and pointed at the faint outline of Wally's body.

"Come on, Wally." Artemis shakily said and tightened her grip on my hand. "We're almost home free."

"After this, I'm not calling you for anything Team related unless someone's getting married." I said, trying to ease the tension and she laughed.

"I missed it, actually... but I think I'm hanging up the bow and arrow for good now."

"Wish I could say the same, but my work isn't done yet... maybe I'll slow down, dedicate most of my time being CEO and my classes. Hell, I'll even go to class on campus."

"Mine's only like an hour and a half from Blüdhaven and has a Zeta nearby. I can arrange my schedule next semester so we have classes at the same time?"

"I'd like that, mouse."

"They did it!" Artemis cheered once the smoke cleared, only to see Bart and Barry on their knees trying to catch their breath.

Where's Wally?

"Oh no..." I whispered, running up to the two and helped Barry stand. "You alright, Barry?"

"Where's Wally?" Artemis asked with tears beginning to form.

"Artemis... He wanted me to tell you..."

"No. No."

"He loved you." Barry finished and Artemis fell to her knees crying.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed Dick clench his fists and turn away from all of us. I immediately walked up and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Dick?"

"I didn't get to apologize... I dragged him into this." He choked out and removed his mask, throwing it onto the snow. "I got him killed."

"Dick, you didn't-"

"I fucking suck at being leader... Jason and now Wally? Who the fuck is next!?" He yelled and I pulled him into a hug making him cry almost immediately. "My two brothers now dead..."

"It's not your fault." I cried and his grip tightened. "Don't blame yourself for this... this is on both of us."

"Don't ever leave me, please." Dick whimpered and I nodded shakily.

"As long as you don't ever leave me."

"This is no time for you both to resign!"

"We're not resigning, just taking a leave of absence." Dick defended as Kaldur stared both of us down.

"If you need any help, Babs is more than ready to step up." I continued and gestured at Barbara who was typing away on one of the computers.

"Agreed. But-"

"I'm tired, Kaldur... we need a break."

"You, me, Mae and Wally, we founded this team. Without him..." Dick trailed off and took a deep breath, removing his mask. "Without him, it doesn't feel like a Team anymore... Too much has happened in so little time. We need time to process."

"I understand." Kaldur sighed and turned to Dick with a small smile. "You want to do this?"

"I do." He said as Artemis appeared seemingly out of nowhere and dragged me to the center of the briefing room of the Watchtower.

"What the-"

"Just because I'm not getting a happy ending, doesn't mean you shouldn't." She smirked and removed my mask.

"Artemis, I-"

"I'll be okay eventually. I've got my little sister by my side, don't I?"

"We'll never truly forget Wally. I'm still traumatized from watching him eat for the first time." Zatanna chuckled and hugged both of us. "The boy left a huge impact on all of us."

"It's a process, but we'll get through it." Artemis promised and nodded at Zatanna.

"Everyone gather around!" Kaldur called out as Zatanna pushed me towards the middle while Bruce pushed Dick as well, between the League and the Team. "It is Nightwing and Domino's last night as leaders of the Team... allow me to be the first in expressing gratitude over all they have achieved under these unfortunate circumstances. The cost has been high, but we should celebrate in Wally's memory all we have accomplished. He... he would've been proud."

"Kaldur-"

"I know the situation has been less than ideal and you both had to make hard decisions, but we're still proud to say we had you both as our leaders." Connor continued with a smile. "From Cadmus to right now, you both have showed me what it was like to be a Team... a family."

"You both have always stood together when the world turns on you and found a way to overcome everything. We're glad to have you both as leaders." Artemis grinned and I blinked back my tears.

"You pushed us to our limits, but were right beside us to protect and take care of the Team... especially its newer members." Tim said and ran up to hug me. "You became a mother to all of us."

"You both never gave up hope... even when the odds were against you." Zatanna finished.

"You guys are assholes for making me cry." I laughed and wiped my tears. "It's been an honor to be your leader and fight alongside all of you. You've all made me proud and I'm grateful that, besides of my past, you've all accepted me as one of your own... but all of you are still assholes for making me cry and I hate all of you for that."

"Then you're gonna hate me even more." Dick called out and I raised my eyebrows. "Robin, if you'd let go of your mother..."

"Asshole." Tim grumbled and stepped to the side beside Cassie and held her hand.

I gave Dick a weary look and he smiled, reaching out to hold my hands.

"A certain thirteen year old girl once told me that we were destined to meet in the middle of a tragedy in every universe. But meeting you wasn't a tragedy, it was the best thing that ever happened to me... I may have saved your life, but you saved mine as well."

"Oh my God, he's actually doing it." I heard Karen whisper.

"Robin was right about one thing, there can't be a Robin without a Domino because I needed you as much as you needed me... not as Robin or Nightwing, but as Dick Grayson." He continued and pulled out a black velvet box from his belt. "I've been reflecting a lot on our relationship and our lives these past few weeks... Life is short and fragile, but it doesn't mean you can't spend it having fun with your soulmate."

"Dick..." I gasped watching as he dropped to one knee and opened the box.

"Maeve Elizabeth Wayne and Ace... will you grant me the honor of spending the rest of my life with you by marrying me?"

"Yes." I cried, watching as he placed the ring on my finger and stood up to kiss me.

"We were all in on it!" Cassie yelled and everyone started cheering.

"I love you... so fucking much, Richard Grayson." I smiled and kissed him.

"I love you more, Maeve Wayne."

I turned around only to see Artemis with a sad smile and wiping her tears. Pulling away from Dick, I immediately ran up and hugged her tight.

"I'm sorry..."

"You never have to apologize for being happy. Wally was gonna talk to Dick and beg him to ask you. It's all he talked about while we were in Paris." She admitted and pulled away to wipe my stray tears. "You deserve to be happy, Maeve."

"But what about you? Wally was... he was everything to you! It's not fair that I get to be happy and you don't."

"Who said I'm not happy, Mae? I've got a beautiful niece, amazing friends and my little sister's engaged! That's more than enough reasons for me to be happy."

"But Wally-"

"I'll always miss him, monkey. But I'll be okay... I've got my girls to help." She smiled and we were both tackled into a hug by M'gann, Barbara, Cassie, Zatanna, Raquel and Karen. "See!? I'll be fine!"

"You're gonna be a wife!" Zatanna cheered and I smiled big.

"I never knew the Boy Wonder had it in him. We were all waiting for five months." Barbara continued and I laughed. "Just wait until we tell Alfred."

"Girl, Selina is gonna be crying until the wedding!" Artemis exclaimed. "And don't get me started on Harley!"

"You're gonna tell her?" Karen asked and I shrugged, glancing down at the ring.

"She's my mom... I gotta tell her eventually, right?"

"Not without telling your dad first." Bruce said and I immediately ran up to hug him. "I believe congratulations are in order... and I'm not just talking about the engagement."

"So much has happened since you left that it's not even funny anymore." I smiled and pulled away just enough to look at him. "I missed you, Dad."

"I missed you too, Maeve."

"Team, gather around!" Kaldur called out and winked at me.

"We'll leave you to it." Bruce whispered and kissed my forehead.

"This Team has had successes, but much remains to be done."

"Ready to go?" Dick asked, wrapping his arms around my waist and I nodded.

"So that's what you had in that stupid pocket all this time?"

"Kept it hidden from you long enough, so it worked." He grinned, lifting my hand to inspect the ring. "I gotta talk to Selina about not stealing this one."

"You have to talk to Selina and Harley about a lot of stuff."

"I'd rather have a cage match with Croc and take my chances than have overprotective Harley."

"I can actually make that happen if you want." I offered and glanced at the Team with a small smile. "We did good, huh? Despite everything."

"Business as usual."
