Training

"Y/n! Wakey, wakey, princess!" Mikey's voice seeps into your dream and awakens you. With sleepy, half-lidded eyes, you look up at him and yawn.

"Yes?" You whisper with a drowsy voice, sitting up on your elbows.

"Time for breakfast!" Mikey smiles warmly, ruffling your messy bedhead.

You smile slightly and sit up, yawning deeply before following him out to the room where everyone is gathered. You glance at the cabinet as you pass it and chuckle lightly, sitting alongside Donatello and Raphael while you wait for your food. Glancing at Raph, you find him staring at you with his face a dark red. You find yourself turning bashful and look away as your face burns. You hear him gulp.

"Everyone, I have wonderful news!" The Fugitoid announces as he enters the room. Leo smiles widely as he stands by the Professor, eating something in a bowl. "We have located the final piece of the Black Hole Generator!" He exclaims, arms wide to accept the cheer that erupts through the room immediately after. You smile and cheer as Mikey places your plate of food in front of you.

"Have you uncovered anything about Lumina Stellar? Any way to slip in undetected?" You ask, looking up at the Fugitoid with hopeful eyes.

"I am afraid not.. your aunt has been very tedious with security measures."

Your face falls, heart sinking as you clench your utensils. You barely hear the Fugitoid utter a useless apology. You eat your food and rush out of the room, almost crashing into April.

Casey raises his eyebrow.
"Ooh, she looked really ticked.." He mumbles.

April watches you leave with wide eyes, surprised by your storming out.
"What happened? Did you say something, Casey?" She glares pointedly at the messy-haired teen.

He huffs.
"I didn't say nothin'! I swear on my hockey mask!"

Raph rolls his eyes and stands up, following the sounds of angry huffs and grunts, followed by running. As he enters the training room/mind reading room, (I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT IT'S CALLED I'M SORRY!!) he's greeted with the sight of an amazing room: your training room. It's circular, with a tall ceiling and various features. There's a walkway, with a giant spiked roller that surrounds a walled pit with an island in the center. Holes in the wall suggest that arrows or something shoot out at the trainee. Lining the walls of the island are small planks that shoot in and out at random, a test of agility and speed, Raphael notes. And surrounding the whole training area is a deep, dark pit. The only way in is down a long hallway, and the way out is through two dark doors, only reached by going through the training room. Raph watches you closely, his eyebrow rising with growing intrigue.

Starting at the beginning, you run around the outside of the training area, away from the spiked roller. An opponent materializes in front of you, and you fight him for a moment before he falls to his knees and disappears. As you round the corner, the escape door in sight, a spiked wall pops out and blocks your path. You skid to a halt and run back to the one entrance in the walled in island, jumping over the gap and rolling as you land. Instantly, multiple opponents appear, surrounding you. Raphael almost steps in to assist, but stops when you smirk and pull out a staff with a glowing blue orb at the end. Tears stream down your face as you begin to fight, body and staff spinning in perfect harmony like a delicate, complex dance. You choke out a sob as you strike them down, your hands clinging to the staff, lest they shake and cause you to drop your weapon. You finally crumble into a sobbing heap in the middle of the island as the last of your rivals disappears.

Now Raphael flips over the gap and walks up to you.
"Y/n?" He whispers, kneeling next to you. You shake and sob into your arms, unable to speak in your breathless, emotional state. Raph frowns slightly and moves, preparing to leave when you grasp his hand. He immediately sits and wraps his arms around you, and you sob into his chest.

"Hey.. you're ok... you're ok, princess.." He mumbles, rubbing your shoulder.

"What if I can't do it?" You ask in a soft voice, sniffling. "What if I can't stop my aunt, and my family, and my people die at her cruel hands?"

"We all know you can do it, sweetheart. You're the coolest, toughest girl I've ever met, and you're not in this fight alone." He strokes your hair and you close your eyes, finding that gesture very calming.

"O-Ok.." You murmur. Raph smiles softly and rests his head on yours, combing his fingers through your hair.

"Don't worry, we'll find a way to save both our planets.."

Several hours later, Raph is on his knee, staring at you. You barely breathe as you stare back, also on knee. Leonardo stands outside of the island, watching with anticipation.

"Go!"

You lunge at Raphael, gasping as he grabs your arms and flips the both of you over. You squirm and struggle underneath him before managing to kick him in the stomach, sending him flying back. You flip up and step back, tensing up as you hear a familiar clicking, and sprawl down on the floor just in time to dodge the 'arrows' that fly out of the holes in the wall.

Raph groans in irritation as he's hit in the shoulder, and peels off the mini-plunger.

"That's gotta hurt." You tease with a playful smirk. He simply rolls his eyes and chuckles, a lopsided grin glued to his face as he flips backwards, down into the pit surrounding the island. You freeze and listen closely, slowly turning on your heel, expecting him to pop up suddenly and attack. Raph moves on the wood planks around the wall of the island, peeking up to see where you are. As you back up to the edge, Raph smirks and pulls you down, holding you against his chest as he grips a board while standing on another. You would squirm and try to escape if his eyes didn't paralyze you, barely able to breathe as you notice his cheeks turning red while yours burn crimson. His warm breath fans over your face, and you gulp softly, licking your suddenly dry lips.

"You... uh... you give up?" Raphael asks in a low, gruff whisper, his stare never faltering.

You smirk slightly.
"Never." You reply. "And, y'know, I seem to recall you stealing something from me last night..." As you speak, a burst of courage surges through you and you lean closer to him. "I think I should steal it back."

After several oddly silent minutes, Leo glances down at the two of you from the walkway. What he sees makes his jaw drop and eyes bulge, and he quickly walks out to give you some privacy.

"Hey Le– Leo, is there something wrong?" Donnie asks, raises a brow in concern of his older brother.

"N-nothing, no.. it's ok.." He replies, rubbing the back of his head.

Donnie nods slowly, not completely convinced.
"Is Y/n in the training room? I have some news for her." He asks, looking to the door to the training room.

"I, uh, don't go in there right now." Leo replies. "Raph and Y/n are... training.."

Donnie raises his brows again, curious, but wary to walk into anything mind-scarring.
"What kind of training...?"

"Er... the mouth-to-mouth kind..."

(Y/n's training room:
