Chapter 31: Flames (Claire's POV)

"As I wish, huh?" he smirked, sitting up.

"Maybe not," I shrugged, letting the shirt fall back down since I only lifted it to my midriff.

"Claire, take it off," he ordered.

"No, go to sleep, Leo," I laughed, falling back onto the pillow.

"I hate repeating myself."

"And I hate being the first to admit. I did it for you, didn't I?"

He fell silent. What's he gonna do? Nothing. There's nothing he can do, actually. I lay there, staring up at the ceiling while he sat up beside me, his fingers drumming against his thigh. "Hmm," he hummed to himself before he straddled me.

I arched an eyebrow at him, amused. "What are you gonna do, Leo?" I chuckled.

"I'll make you take it off," he shrugged before leaning down and kissing my jaw down to my neck leaving flames along my skin. "Willingly," he whispered.

"You can try," I said, feeling my heartbeat quicken, my blood rush, and my stomach flutter. I'm surprised I kept my voice steady.

"You know I get something when I want it, don't you?" he questioned.

"Yes, I do," I answered.

"And I desperately want you. So, why are you pushing your luck?"

"I don't know, maybe I like how desperate you sound." That wasn't a good idea considering he nearly bit my neck after I said that. I pushed him back but he grabbed my wrists and held them down.

He pulled back and looked down at me. "Do you want me to stop?" he asked.

"Did I tell you to?" I sassed.

He rolled his eyes before kissing me. It was more aggressive than usual, I could tell he was getting frustrated and losing patience. That's one way to make him beg. There was something he really wanted and I wasn't giving it to him. I don't expect him to be grinning with satisfaction.

I already had a rough idea of how tonight was going to go when he caught me by the door. Good thing I'm on the pill then. No, I didn't start taking it because I slept around, I took it to make my period regular. Birth control isn't always linked with sex, people. It works for other purposes too.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt his hands grab my waist from under the shirt, inching up at an agonizingly slow pace. His hands were warm, they felt nice on my skin yet somehow left flames behind. If he continues like this, I'll need a fire extinguisher by sunrise.

He was going to take his time. That beautiful bastard. My shirt rode up with his hands until he stopped below my chest. "Take it off, Claire," he whispered in my ear.

I chuckled breathlessly, "No." I would have taken it off by now but he wasn't giving me what I wanted. I don't think he has it figured out yet.

He pulled away, his face inches from mine while he scanned my eyes. He let go of me as realization took over his expression. "You want on top," he mumbled.

"Took you long enough," I rolled my eyes. He climbed off and sat against the headboard while I sat up and straddled him. "You're slower than people would think." I narrowed my eyes at him before my lips came crashing down on his.

"You're bolder than people would think," he murmured while I trailed kisses down his jaw and neck.

"I left my mark, don't you worry," I chuckled.

"I don't think I like you on top," he smirked.

I looked up and met his eyes, "Liar." I put all my knowledge to use and he hated it. Because he wasn't in charge. We were both too dominating here. It would clash.

"I want on top," he sighed.

"Not yet, pretty boy." He leaned his head back against the headboard and looked at me. He seemed impressed. "You didn't teach me well. You didn't teach me at all," I scoffed.

"I don't think I wanna know who did," he rolled his eyes, his grip tightening on me.

It would get him riled up.

Maybe then he'll act on it. It wasn't Theo. Nobody taught me anything. I just knew what to do when to do it. When it came to him. I'd cracked the code to Leo Jackson. I knew this man inside out. And I knew which buttons to push. "Theo did," I whispered in his ear.

"Fuck you," he said before turning us over so he was on top while I lay under him again. "Tell me that's a lie."

Not yet.

"Is it?" I chuckled. There was so much teasing. I loved it. When his hand trailed up my leg while he kissed my neck, I told him what he wanted to hear. "It is a lie, it got you working though, didn't it?" He turned the dial up and everything got rougher. He was getting angry. Too angry. "Relax," I pushed him back slightly so I could look him in the eyes. "He never got to touch me like this," I said.

"Who did?" he questioned.

"You are," I shrugged.

"You're not-"

"A virgin, no. It was never like this. Can we get back to it?"

He chuckled before kissing me again. I never made Theo work for it. I never cared about what went on between us. I liked him, of course, I did. But he liked my body. I knew that. I just ignored it.

Leo easily took my mind off Theo with the things he did. In fact, it was hard to think of anything when he was doing these things to me. "Take it off, Claire," he said for the millionth time.

"Beg," I smirked.

"Please," he sighed in defeat. We both fell into silence while he sat in front of me. I propped myself up on my elbows and stared at him.

He really wanted it.

I sat up on my knees, mirroring his position, and kissed him. His hands went to my waist and pulled the shirt up until he caught its hem. "Do it," I mumbled against his lips.

He only broke the kiss when he pulled the shirt over my head. He stared and for a minute I let him but then I just started getting shy. So I did the logical thing and kissed him. That distracted him enough.

I woke up the next morning feeling sore. That's probably something you didn't need to know. I rubbed my eyes open and found myself facing him while he slept, breathing steadily, not a single sign of stress or worry on his face like there normally is.

If it goes like this, I'll fall in love with him soon. Then what's he gonna do? I could only pray he wouldn't push me away. I knew I wouldn't let him, but it would hurt to see him try.

The door pushed open just an inch since we didn't close it last night. I looked down and saw Ace and Max trudging in. They looked up at the bed before running over to my side. I pulled them up and let them do the honors of waking him up. After loads of licks and kisses from the two, he groaned and rubbed his face, waking up.

"That's enough for the day," I laughed, pulling them away from him.

"Those are not the kisses I wanted to wake up to," he mumbled.

"Appreciate the love, Leo," I laughed while I received the same kisses from them. I glanced at the time. Flynn should be here. Has anyone fed them?

"Flynn fed them already," he mumbled, "Yes, you said that out loud," he said, opening his eyes and looking up at me, squinting at the sun peeking through the blinds. "Go bother Flynn, go, go," he said while setting them onto the ground. They ran out and he turned his attention to me.

"Morning," I mumbled.

"Morning," he sighed while wrapping an arm around me and pulling me in. I knew what I was wearing- nothing but underwear, just like he was. And the door was open. And I was paranoid.

Flynn could walk in any second. And then he did. "Okay, lovebirds, get out of bed," he said, his hand already over his eyes.

"Fuck off," Leo threw a pillow at him while I kept the covers up. "You got laid yourself," Leo mumbled while hugging me.

"Aesha was gonna tell you, Claire. This fuck face just tells you everything, can I look?" he asked.

"Yeah, you can look," I laughed.

"No, you can't look!" Leo exclaimed.

"I'm covered," I mumbled.

"I don't care, Flynn get out," he said.

I clicked my tongue in frustration and clamped my hand over his mouth. "Anything else, Flynn?" I asked.

"Can I look? I don't like being blind," he repeated.

"Yes."

"No," he said, his voice muffled behind my hand. He bit my hand gently and I pulled back. "No, Flynn, I said get out."

"Jesus, okay. Did you use a condom at least?" Leo threw a pillow at him which he obviously didn't see coming so he stumbled. I laughed while he flipped off the closet and then ran into the wall before leaving.

"I was covered, baby" I said.

"I don't care, baby" he said, looking at me. His eyes looked like they were glowing from the sun that shone on them.

They looked beautiful.
