Winter P.O.V

After school I was at home, staring at me ceiling and singing under my breath. I heard clapping and a chuckle, "You really should take that to America's Got Talent or something." Josh said and I rolled my eyes, "Don't need to, I like singing to my ceiling. It can't say 'Hey, you suck at singing'." This time he rolled his eyes and I felt my bed dip as he sat down.

"So I overheard that you're going to some junior's house tonight huh?" He took on his 'protective brother' tone and I smiled a little. "Yep... New starter for the basketball team.. His name is Jayden. I gotta say, I'm impressed by his looks. That doesn't happen often, as you know, my dear brother." That earned a little laugh from him and I glanced at my clock. "I should head over there. I'll see you later Josh." He nodded and smiled at me, "I'll kill him if he tries anything. Give him that message, yeah?"

I nod and shake my head with a small smile on my face."Whatever fluffs your hair, man." I said, standing up and fluffing up his hair. "Hey! I have a date tonight with Brody! Not cool!" I shook my head and smiled a little. Brody is Josh's boyfriend of... I think 3 years, I've met Brody and he seems cool. I walked downstairs and said to Grace, "I'll be back later, I'm going to a friend's, is that alright?" Grace nods, looking up from a bill that she's doing and smiles at me. "Be careful, honey. Alright?"

I nodded, "Yes ma'am." I walked outside and checked my phone for Jayden's address and started to walk, I got there 15 minutes later and knocked on his door. A middle-aged woman answered the door I'm guessing is his mom and I stumble on my words, "H-Hi... I-I'm here to see J-Jayden." She smiles, "Of course, sweetie, come on in." I followed her inside and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Jayden saw me and smiled, "Hey, Winter. I'm glad you came." I blushed, noticing how good he looked in pajama bottoms and a loose American Eagle shirt. His light brown hair was messy and swooped up slightly from his face, his light eyes shining a little more as he looked at me. "I almost stood you up, you know." I smirked a little to let him know I was kidding and he laughed lightly.

"That wouldn't be very good on my behalf, and you love me too much to do that." He smirked and I couldn't help but laugh lightly, he took me up to his room, leaving the door open. "So... Winter..? What's your story?" He asked as we both sat on his bed, I got nervous.. What if he judges me for my past like everyone else... What if he starts bullying me too...?

I shook those thoughts off and felt like I could open up to him... I told him everything.. Starting from the time of the crash to now.. He listened intently the whole time and hugged me close when I started to cry at one point. I buried my face deeper in his chest and it was calming. I breathed him in, he smelled woodsy in a good way with some kind of spice. My heart almost burst when he kissed the top of my head softly, probably hoping I didn't notice but I did...

I blushed and calmed down quickly but I didn't want him to let go... Suddenly I was extremely tired and I started drifting off in Jayden's arms. Soon falling into the void that is sleep. I slept soundly that night, I didn't feel Jayden leave me at any point in time during that night... I'm not completely alone at school anymore...

Short chapter, I know! But, it's still in the planning phase as I'm writing so I think it's turning out good!! What do y'all think?!!
