I slammed the computer shut after saying goodbye to Winter as my Sargent yelled at me to get up and get out, the base was under attack. I jumped up, grabbing my semi-automatic and running from the tent. The attack hadn't even been happening for 5 minutes yet...

And the ground was red with the blood of so many of my comrades..

I had to force myself to not focus on them but as I saw guns aimed at me, I dropped to the ground behind one of the artillery vehicles, my uniform getting soaked in the blood. My stomach churned as I looked down and saw the broken skull of one of my bunk mates and the brain matter and blood spilling out of the shattered bone..

My hands trembled but I got a hold of myself and peeked over the hood of the Hummer and aimed my gun, having experience from being a sniper. I targeted one of the enemy soldiers and pulled the trigger. I ignored the screams and gunshots as I did the same thing over and over. I shot 15 men with pinpoint accuracy.

I leaned back against the car and held my gun to my chest, breathing out and closing my eyes for a split second before running from being the car and made a break for another Hummer for me to take cover behind. I felt a sudden pressure through my shoulder but I didn't register it until I got behind the other Hummer. I winced as the pain erupted in my shoulder, I grunted and looked at my shoulder. There was a bullet wound the didn't look too good...

The blood poured from the wound and I grabbed a bandana I had in my pocket, pressing the cloth to my arm, gritting my teeth, "That fricken' sucks..." I growled as I tried to raise my gun but I couldn't... My shoulder was too severe..

I dropped the semi automatic and pulled out my handgun. I could raise this easier to protect myself if needed because I wasn't moving anytime soon, I couldn't risk it...

I still had someone at home who is gonna kill me for this injury... Winter...

I gripped the gun and before I could do anything, there was a whizzing sound and a Boom...

An explosion...

Then I was in the air, everything feeling as if its on fire.

Sorry for lacking in these updates guys...

Some things have been happening and someone in my family passed yesterday, someone who I was really close to, so I haven't been on top of my updating...
