Keanna's POV

Me, Tails, and Amanda were worried sick. I had woken up and noticed that both Werehog and Kianna were gone. 

I woke the others and told them about the situation. Tails told me Sonic likes to go off on his own and that he'll be back soon enough. Then Amanda told me that Kianna was probably out getting more wood for our dying fire. I wasn't completely convinced but let it slide. 

Until we reached the half-hour mark and they still weren't back. I voiced my concern but they reassured me, with a hint of worry in Tails' voice. They were worried too.

Seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to half-hour until the agonizing wait slowed to a halt an hour later.

By now, everyone was worried so we started combing the surrounding area for our friends. After two hours of searching we met back at camp with no luck.

"Where could they be?" Amanda asked.

"You don't think Eggman has them, do you?" Tails asked with wide eyes. All of a sudden, we heard a rustle in the bushes and prepared ourselves for the worst. What came out wasn't what we expected at all! 

The Werehog stumbled out of the bushes with Kianna cuddling his large, fluffy arms. Kianna blushed when Werhog nuzzled her nose. 'Love is in the air!' I thought.

"Sonic!" Tails yelled, running to hug his best friend.

"Where were you?" I yelled. "We've been worried sick!"

"What happened." Amanda demanded, taking a step forward to confront the duo. As if Amanda's actions triggered something, Kianna fell on her knees, clutching the sides of her head in obvious pain.

"Kianna! Are you okay?" Werehog yelled, kneeling next to her. She whimpered as her hands turned red with fresh blood.

"It hurts…" She whispered. "Make it stop…" Werehog sighed and hugged the barely clothed girl. 

"It'll be over soon." He reassured her. "Somebody, please get me something to clean her." Amanda nodded and left, coming back a few seconds later with a damp, brown rag. Werehog silently thanked her, then started to wipe away the blood. 

We let Werehog take care of the problem and softly talked about how we forgot the others in Eggman's base and how we should save them.

After about five minutes, Kianna stopped whimpering and instead cuddled into him as he suggested a plan to us.  We talked together and silently agreed. Well, all of us except Kianna, who answered with a soft "Yep." Sonic finished cleaning her face with a confused expression.

"Tails, can you get me some tweezers, please?" Werehog asked. Tails left and came back with tweezers. "Kianna, stay still, ok?" 

"Ok…." Kianna nervously replied. Sonic gently navigated her ear canal with the tweezers and soon pulled out a small spherical thing covered in blood. Then he took another one out of the other ear. 

"Does that feel better?" Sonic asked. Kianna nodded.

"Much. Thank you." Tails took the things from Sonic and cleaned them.

"Um… guys..? You might wanna see this…" Tails spoke up. We curiously walked over to see Tails pointing at two black earpieces resting in his hand. They both had a red face with a moustache printed on them.

Sonic went to touch it, but Tails stopped him saying, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." The earpieces glowed blue as electricity cackled deep within. Tails didn't even flinch.

Kianna fearfully backed away as Tails finished his explanation. "Everytime someone talks within a 30 feet radius of these these earpieces, they record, store, and transmit the data to Eggman's main computer, sending miniscule shocks of electricity to help the information travel faster." Kianna whimpered.

"So now Eggman knows our plan..?" Amanda asked. Tails nodded. 

"It's all my fault!!!" Kianna wailed, hugging Sonic.

"It's not your fault, you didn't know. We'll destroy them and find a new camp. If Neo knows where we are, Eggman will too." Everyone silently agreed and Tails dropped the high-tech machinery, putting them at the mercy of Sonic's cleated foot.
