Sonic's POV 

Tears were streaming down my face as I left Eggman's Base, leaving behind a girl that helped me more than she will ever know. The drone led me into the woods. I saw some buildings and they were all burned down and destroyed. I kept walking and soon made it to a clearing. There was a tent made out of leaves and there was a small fire a safe distance from it. A  yellow blob came out of the tent. It was Tails. "TAILS!!" I shouted. 

"SONIC!!!" Tails screamed and we hugged. We stayed like that for a good while. Suddenly, we heard the bushes moving. 

"Who's there?" I yelled, descritly sheilding tails with my bigger, wolf-like mass. "Come out!" 

A human girl with brown hair, almond brown eyes, and bare feet answered my call with another human girl, this one with chestnut hair and warm, olive green eyes. Of course, both girls were wearing clothing. The first had a purple dress with white polka dots, a matching headband, and a purple ribbon surrounding her waist that sprouted a fake purple flower. Something about her reminded me of Kianna, but while they still viewed as threats, now was not the time to let my guard down.

The other human, on the other hand, sported blue and white tennis shoes, knee-high dark navy blue shorts, and a gray-white t-shirt that proudly read, 'Windover High Track and Field'. Her bare legs and arms were covered in scratches and parts of her clothing had weeds burrowing into the fabric and her tight ponytail. From what I could tell, she was pulled from a race of some sort and braved the wild for her companion.

"Keanna I-"  the second girl started, not noticing us.

"...look" Keanna, it seemed, pointed to me. Her companion stared at us, observing me like I did to her.

We stood there in silence until Keanna spoke. "We mean you no harm, Eggtroopers!"

'What the..' I thought before the realization kicked in. "We're not working with Egghead." I cooly countered. Keanna was silent, but her companion seemed to trust me and spoke.

"Who are you guys, anyway?" She asked.

"My name's Miles Prower, but you can call me Tails!" Tails peeked around me at the newcomers with a big smile.

"Nice to meet you Tails! I'm Amanda Johnson and this is Keanna." Amanda said.

"Hey." Keanna said unenthusiasticly. Amanda jabbed her arm. "Hey!" Keanna shouted. She jabbed Amanda back.

"Ow!" Amanda exclaimed. Then they started fighting, from here, it looked like Keanna was pretty strong, just like the Kianna I know. To be fair, so was Amanda.

"Hey! Break it up! Break it up!" I shouted, throwing myself in-between the two non-mobian females.

"Sorry…" Amanda sheepishly apologized. Keanna just 'hmph'ed before asking, "What's your name, Werehog?"

I was taken aback for a second. 'She called me Werehog… Kianna calls me that…' 

"A-are you ok…?" She asked. That's when I noticed that I was crying. I nodded and Tails hugged me.

"This is Sonic. The Hero of Mobius and leader of the Freedom Fighters!" Tails proudly exclaimed, saving me from talking. "We're trying to stop Eggman and we need help. Wanna join us?" They both nodded vigorously and we led them to our fire, settling down to get to know each other better.
