Hello and welcome back to Saving the World With an Accomplice! A few side notes: first, this first chapter is modeled after Mobius Chronicals, a comic WE DO NOT OWN!!!!! Second, this chapter will be long! Enjoy!

One beautiful summer day in a world called Mobius, a blue hedgehog was sleeping on a roof, caught up in Dreamland, until a twirling green ballerina fell onto the hedgehog's soft, wet nose. He opened his eyes, revealing wide, jade orbs. He sat up, and yawned. Stretching, he watched the leaf continue its beautiful performance.

As soon as the leaf touched the ground, the azure hedgie followed it with a loud, "HA!" And then he took off, immediately breaking the sound barrier with a colossal 'crack-a-boom' that was heard miles away. In fact, it was heard by a pink hedgette, cream rabbit, and blue chao that all jumped in surprise when the soundwaves hit their ears, then they realized what it was.

A bright pink, rose hedgehog sighed. "Well, Sonic's awake!" She remarked, her companion nodding and agreeing with a soft, "Yep."

The blue hedgehog, now known as Sonic, was currently running faster than sound, stopping on a dime when he approached a cliff that overlooked the beautiful, green and blue ocean. 

"Hmm." He muttered to himself, clenching his hands into fists, and he thought for a quick moment. "Something's not right." Then he took off with another resounding 'kkkkk-boom'. 

"Hey, Tails!" The blue, supersonic hedgehog yelled, entering his friends' workshop and pulling off the two tailed yellow fox's headset.

"BAAAH!" Tails screamed, jumping about a mile, dropping his welder and spinning around to face the newcomer. "Sonic! Don't do that! Especially when I'm working!" He shouted, his face pale.

"I just wanted to say good morning, didn't mean to scare ya." Sonic justified himself in an annoyed tone.

The mustard yellow fox kit looked at the older Mobian with a –_– face. "Good afternoon, you mean. It's 1:30." He corrected, looking down at his watch. "Stay up late, again?"

Sonic looked at Tails putting away his tools. "Whaddya mean, 'again'? .....and yes." He added a little while later.

Tails laughed, "So, what's the game plan for today?"

"Ooooohhh… Cream's having a tea party so I figured we could…." Sonic abruptly stopped and smiled, he thought for a moment, before both he and Tails were gone in a flash of blue.

"AAHH! SONIC! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?" Tails screamed in shock. He was terrified.

Now it was Sonic's turn to laugh. "We haven't done this in a long time, have we lil' bro?" Understanding dawned on Tails' face as he realized what was going on. "Ready to go top speed?"

"You bet!" Tails replied, winking and flashing Sonic's trademark thumbs up. Tails smiled and cheered as he went as fast as the speed of sound with his best bud, leader, and older, adoptive brother.

"Mm?" A bright-pink, very strong Mobian looked up, seeming to hear something. 

"Did you hear something, Miss. Amy?" The bunny looked up, tilting her head questionly.

"It was nothing, Cream." Amy reassured the hare named Cream.

All of a sudden, a screeching sound was heard and both girls stared at the big cloud of dust that revealed a smiling, azure hedgehog and a yellow, two-tailed fox that had been thrown on the ground, laughing. 

"Hey, Sonic!" Amy shouted, catching the older male's attention.

Sonic looked around before realizing Amy was the one who spoke. "Oh… hi, Amy." Sonic then looked down at the dizzy fox. "Heh heh, Sorry Tails!"

"Awesome…" Tails dizzily remarked as the female hedgehog rolled her eyes while Cream ran towards him, kindly offering her assistance. 

"Tails, are you okay?" The young rabbit asked her friend.

"Y-yeah, just a bit… dizzy!" The fox emphasized his point by standing up and falling down again after wobbling a few steps. The two friends started laughing while Cream helped Tails to the table she had set up.

"Close your eyes~!" She chimed, Tails doing just that, panting in anticipation when Cream held a plate of cookies under his nose.

"Do I smell cookies?!?!" He asked, excitedly.

"Yes! I made them myself!"

"I can't wait to taste them!"

While the two youngsters talked, Amy and Sonic were having their own conversation. Well, Amy was. Sonic was staring into space thinking.

"So, anyway, I was with Rouge yesterday and she told me that she thought Knuckles was cute! And I was like, good for you! I totes ship it! And she was blushing like crazy and was like, no! No! Not like that! But then- hey! Are you even listening?" Amy ranted, finally noticing Sonic's blank stare. "Something wrong, Sonic?" She asked slyly.

"AAAAH!" Sonic yelled, jolted out of his thoughts. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"

"You were daydreaming about me, weren't you?" She asked with a wide smile.

Tails, noticing Sonic's scream, called out, "Haha! Now you know how it feels!"

"Shut up, Pixel brain!" Sonic replied lightly, not meaning what he said.

"No." Tails defiantly retorted, sticking out his tounge and laughing. Sonic wrinkled his nose at the fox and also started laughing. Amy facepalmed.

"Boys." She sighed. Then, a huge gust of wind swept through the little gathering.

"It sure is getting windy!" Cream commented.

Tails agreed and yelled, "Save the cookies!"

Sonic chuckled at his brother's behavior, then hauled the table to the garage. Inside, they finished Cream's teaparty and talked.

Amy came up to Sonic who was lost in thought again. "Everything okay, Sonic?" She asked. Sonic turned to look at her, questioning her question. (haha 🤣) "You seem worried about something." Amy explained.

"I'm fine." Sonic responded, looking out the window again, "Just got a bad feeling is all."

"Really? About what?"

Sonic sat up with a small, "It's nothing."

"Sonic-" Amy started, but was cut off by said hedgehog.

"Really, Amy, don't worry about it." Sonic said, ending the conversation.

"MISS. AMY! Can we go shopping?!?" Cream asked, running up to the pink hedgette.

"That's a great idea, Cream! Though I don't suppose the BOYS would want to go to the mall, where they have GAMES and CHILIDOGS…" Amy said, turning to Sonic who had gotten off the window ledge.

"Fine!" Sonic gave in, "But under one condition! I am NOT carrying any of your stuff!"
