A lone VTOL dropship had just disembarked itself from a cargo plane as it is making their way into a small island in the middle of an ocean. 

"Approaching island airspace. ETA 5 minutes." The pilot of the VTOL declared. His face is covered with an olive green mask with black eyes, almost resembling of a superhero mask.

Inside the VTOL, there were four more occupants. One of the occupants was currently shaving his beard with a knife. He's a brown skinned man wearing a green beret on his head while donning yellow shades that makes him look like a badass. He also wears a green shirt that is under his ballistic vest.

The second occupant was a big and bulky man wearing a juggernaut suit. He was currently eating a burger that he brought along for the trip. It is assumed he is also fat under the armor.

The third occupant beside the burger-eating juggernaut has a nerdy appearance as he is wearing glasses while donning a cap that has the medic insignia in it, indicating his role of the squad. He's wearing a green shirt and pants while carrying a big medic pack behind him. 

And the fourth and final occupant is a woman with fair skin and pretty green eyes while having long blonde hair. She wears a crimson helmet on her head while wearing a green camo shirt and dark green pants. She also has a white armband on her left shoulder with the medic insignia, signifying her role as a medic akin to the third occupant. 

The female medic was bopping her head to the beat of the song that was playing on a radio near the green beret man, the song being a rock remix of 'When Johnny comes marching home'.

Meanwhile the male medic beside her was currently observing the map of the island they were heading with a curious look. "What could be so special about a small fishing village in the middle of nowhere?" He wondered as he continued to observe the map with a flashlight.

Suddenly a piece of ketchup got stained into the map. The medic deadpanned as he turned to the culprit, "Are you finished?"

The juggernaut took a big bite on his burger as he responded to him, "What? I'm hungry." He then took another bite.

The medic sighed before turning to his female counterpart, "Jenn?" He asks.

The woman named 'Jenn' stopped bopping her head and answered, "Don't ask me. I'm just as curious as you are. But hey, atleast we're on a mission together." The male medic smiled from the last part, coming from his best friend after all.

After a few minutes, the red light in the VTOL turned green. The man with the green beret hum in response as he stood up and turned off the radio before turning to the rest.

"You three, get your gear together, and Bull - lose the burger." He said.

"I'm just about done. No need to rush me." The Juggernaut named 'Bull' replied.

"Well you should've eaten faster, slowpoke." Jenn said as she stood up and preparing her own gear. As the VTOL got closer to the island, the ramp of the airship opened up. The masked pilot put the VTOL on auto pilot as he joined in with the rest of the squad. 

The green beret man readied his AUG HBAR and his Bazooka, putting them in the ready as he stepped forward to the ramp and readied his fist for a beatdown. His name is Riggs, commander of the squad.

The masked pilot joined in as he had readied his AWP sniper rifle and his Katana that he sheathed behind his back. His name is Shadow, the pilot and the assassin or the sniper of the squad.

The nerdy medic loaded up his M4 rifle and adjusted his glasses incase they don't fall off. His name is Toad, one of the designated medics of the squad.

The Juggernaut, whose name is Bull, readied his pistol and his shield before taking one last bite on his burger. If it is not already obvious, Bull acts as the Tank of the squad.

Lastly, Jenn readied her AK47 assault rifle and her Tac-45 pistol into the holster before joining in with the guys. Her full name is Jennifer Nikova, but she prefers to be called Jenn. Like Toad, she is the other designated medic of the squad while also being his best friend.

Together, they are the Strike Force's ALPHA SQUAD

The VTOL made its way near the fishing village as Jenn could spot a few enemy soldiers seeing the vehicle as they seem to be grabbing their weapons. 

The VTOL made a stop at the beach near the village. The five man squad dropped off before the VTOL flew away by itself back to the plane.

"Alright, you know the orders, secure the cargo and eliminate any resistance," commanded Riggs.

"Roger that!" Jenn responded.

"What's so important about this cargo, again?" inquired Toad.

"Orders are to secure it, not open it," Riggs clarified.

"Well, if you say so," Toad shrugged, and the team made their way through the forest towards the village. They anticipated the inhabitants would be on high alert.

As they closed in on the village, hostile gunfire erupted, prompting Jenn and the team to seek cover behind a nearby tree. Peering out, Jenn identified a few enemies firing upon them.

"Contact left!" she shouted, returning fire with her AK47. She managed to injure one as the enemies retreated towards the wooden fishing village houses.

"Looks like they know we're here." Riggs said, "Shadow, provide us sniper cover by the treelines. The rest of you, on me!" Riggs then charged forward, with Bull following him.

"Are we really charging head on?!" Toad exclaimed.

"Well we gotta secure the cargo!" Jenn shouted, running out of cover and firing her AK47 towards the enemies. Toad groaned before catching up with her and the rest, while Shadow remained near the treelines.

The squad moved into the village, engaging a platoon of soldiers in orange gear. Riggs rolled forward, swiftly taking out two hostiles with his AUG.

Another enemy ran towards Riggs with a machete in hand in an attempt to slice him, but that proven to be a mistake when Riggs quickly turn around and grab him in a headlock before crushing his neck with his muscles.

"Get some, ya bastards!" Riggs shouted, unleashing his Bazooka and firing a rocket at one of the houses, obliterating it along with its occupants.

Toad stayed behind cover in one of the wooden houses. He peeked out and took out a hostile with his M4. Jenn stayed near with him as she saw two enemies by the roof of the house. She took aim and killed one of them.

The second hostile took notice of her and was about to fire, but he was shot to the head by a sniper round from Shadow. Knowing who killed him, Jenn went to her radio, "Nice one, Shadow."

"Thanks." Shadow replied. Taking position on a rock, Shadow cocked his sniper rifle and shift his aim to the other hostile forces.

Meanwhile Bull blocked all the shots with his riot shield and exchange fire with his pistol, killing two more of the enemies. He then saw an enemy soldier coming to his right with a shotgun in hand. Bull quickly use his shield to block the shotgun blast before shooting him to the head.

However, Bull was momentarily exposed as he was hit by three bullets. "Ah, I'm hit!" He shouted.

Jenn quickly went to his aid and fired her AK47 at the hostiles that shot him. After that, she head over to the Juggernaut and check for any injuries. Fortunately his armor stopped the bullets from hitting his flesh.

"It's alright, Bull. You're fine!" She reassured him. "You are wearing heavy armor after all!"

Bull exhaled in relief, "Glad to hear that."

"You'd be a smaller target if you ate a salad once in a while!" Toad shouted at him.

"I ate salad all the time!...On my burgers." Bull said.

"That doesn't count!"

"Focus on the fight, ladies!" Riggs ordered.

The fight continued on as the squad is slowly getting the upper hand on the fight with them killing each soldier every few seconds. Jenn went to the lower area of the village near a pond and the support beams for the floors. She then saw some military crates that looked to be the cargo they were securing.

"I found the cargo, guys!" Jenn said.

"Good, now we can focus on taking these guys down!" Toad replied, emptying a mag in his gun.

Shadow fired a few shots of his sniper rifle and then killing a hostile. "I count fifteen hostiles left." He informed.

Right after that, Riggs killed another one. "You mean fourteen? Hehe."

And then right after that, Jenn pulled out her sidearm after running out of ammo in her AK and killed a third one. "Make that thirteen."

Then out of nowhere, Bull shouted, "Forty Five!"

"Dude...really?" Toad deadpanned at him.

"What? I thought we were just yelling numbers?" 

As the fighting continued, Jenn kept tallying more kills. She estimated that she had taken down about six hostiles on her own. Pausing briefly to reload, a bullet grazed her helmet, compelling her to seek cover.

Suddenly, the distinctive sound of a shotgun cocking echoed behind her. Swiftly diving to the side, she evaded a shotgun blast and unleashed a quick burst of rounds at the assailant. However, the hostile was clad in heavy armor, just like Bull.

The armored soldier grinned beneath his helmet while pumping his shotgun. Jenn promptly bolted away, narrowly dodging another shot. "Guys, I've got a heavily armored dude on my tail! Riggs, can you deal with him using your bazooka?" Jenn urgently communicated.

"A little busy here, pretty face." Riggs responded before snapping an enemy soldier's neck.

"And don't call me that!" Jenn then turned back to the armored soldier and fired another burst of rounds, but it did almost no effect. She quickly took cover behind a wall, evading two shotgun blasts.

"You are not getting our stuff for your evil schemes!" The armored soldier shouted at her.

"What?!" Jenn replied with a confused look. 

"Don't play dumb with me, girl! You and your mates will not take over the world!" His response made Jenn even more confused. They weren't even trying to take over the world. They're just here on a mission to secure the cargo.

"Hey, buddy! Pick on someone your own size!" Jenn heard the shout coming from Bull as she peeked out and saw him standing behind the enemy juggernaut.

The enemy juggernaut turned to Bull before firing a shot at him, which Bull deftly deflected with his shield. He then fired a few shots from his pistol. Although they didn't have any noticeable effect, it provided enough time for Jenn to emerge from her cover and fire at one of his legs.

The juggernaut let out a painful groan and dropped to his knees. "You damn bitch!" He then attempted to aim at Jenn but felt a sudden pain in his chest.

Jenn saw that Shadow had arrived, as he plunged the blade of his katana into the juggernaut's body through the armor and flesh. When Shadow effortlessly pulled his katana out, the enemy juggernaut fell to the ground, dead.

Jenn breathed a sigh of relief before turning to Shadow, "Thanks, Shadow."

"Anything to help the pretty missy," Shadow replied, eliciting a pout from her at the nickname. He then cleaned the blood of his sword before sheathing it back.

Toad and Riggs then came to the scene, seeing the dead Juggernaut on the ground. Jenn then noticed that the other enemy soldiers in the village were all killed aswell.

"I think that's all of them." Toad said.

"They didn't even stood a chance." Riggs remark while flexing his muscles as usual.

Shadow then went to the location where they kept the cargo, "Cargo secured, calling in the dropship."

After the fight, Jenn took the time to rest and check her gear along with any injuries from the battle. Toad then approached her and asked, "You alright?"

"I'm fine, man. Just a bullet grazed my helmet, that's all," Jenn said, taking the helmet off and exposing her long blonde hair.

"And your med pack?"

"Fine as well. Given how lighter it is, it allowed me to maneuver as fast as I can. You should probably do the same with yours," Jenn suggested, pointing at his med pack.

"Hey, medical safety is also important on the battlefield. That's why I packed up a lot of stuff in my pack," Toad said.

"Alright, alright. You're the professional one here," Jenn remarked, acknowledging his greater experience. Even then, she had been recruited to the force about five months ago before joining Alpha squad.

"Hey, you lovebirds!" Jenn and Toad turned to where Riggs was standing. "Quit yapping and help us with the cargo," he said before walking away.

"We're not lovers!" Toad shouted with an annoyed expression, while Jenn chuckled in amusement. He then sighed, "Can't people just realize that a guy and a girl can just be friends and all?"

"Well, you can blame it on the entertainment media," Jenn said before getting up and putting her helmet back on. "Now come on, we've got orders to follow."

"Fine..." The two then joined the rest of the squad in helping to pack up the cargo.

The squad had brought the cargo into the VTOL. However, the interior seemed to be full because of it. Toad, Jenn, and Bull had to stand outside as Riggs said to them, "We're too heavy with the cargo. We'll offload it onto the AC130 and come back for you."

Jenn gave him a thumbs up, "You got it!"

Riggs nodded in return before the VTOL lifted off. When the aircraft activated its jet, the shockwave caused Toad to get launched back to the pond area.

"You okay!?" Jenn called out to him.

"A little wet, but okay." Toad replied.

After helping Toad up, the trio sat down by the wooden pier of the village, waiting for the VTOL to come back. As they waited, Jenn began to wonder while looking back at the dead bodies of the enemy soldiers.

Toad noticed this and asked, "Hey, what's on your mind?"

Jenn answered, "I was just wondering... who were those guys?"

"They were hostiles," Bull stated the obvious.

"Yeah, I know that. What I meant was, what were they doing here in the first place? And why were they protecting this cargo?" Jenn also thought back to what the enemy juggernaut said about them taking over the world, which still didn't make a lick of sense to her.

Toad put a hand under his chin, contemplating it as well. "You do have a point."

"Ah, I'm sure it's nothing," Bull said. "We did our mission, and now we can finally go back."

Jenn smiled at the last part, "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Bull then pulled out a burger and offered it to Jenn and Toad, "You two want a bite?"

"Wh-Where did you get another burger?" Toad asked, surprised.

Bull let out a chuckle, "Pocket burger."

"Actually, I wouldn't mind," Jenn said as she reached for the burger. But when she was about to grab it, the VTOL showed up, and its jet engine caused the burger to be blown away.

The ramp then opened up with Riggs already inside, waving at the three. "We're back."

"Took you long enough," Toad said before getting up, "Let's go, Jenn."

Jenn let out a sigh when the burger got blown away, and Bull had a sad frown on his face at losing that burger. Nevertheless, the two hopped into the VTOL with Toad as they flew away from the island.

So guys, that was the first chapter of this Strike Force Heroes fic. That game was truly one of my childhood games that i love and I was glad that they made a remastered version of it. I also love the campaign and how different it was from the original.

My favorite part is how they gave Toad, Bull, Shadow, and Riggs more personality along with their character designs. Though i was a little bummed out that the protagonist got demoted to a regular grunt and was mostly mute during the campaign.

Now that I'm a writer, I'm gonna try and make a good (and arguably the first) fanfic out of it. As you can see, I put a little background regarding the Guerillas in the second mission.
