"When is it supposed to happen. This...apocalypse?" Luther asked as he was sitting on a chair in front of Five who was sitting on the bed "I can't give you the exact hour, but...from what I could gather, we have four days left" Five said "Why didn't say you something sooner?" Luther asked before he looked at Maddie and Freddy "Why didn't you two said anything sooner?" he asked "He made us promise not to" Maddie said and Freddy nodded.

"It wouldn't have mattered" Five said "Of course it would. We could've banded together and helped you try to stop this thing" Luther said "For the record, you already tried" Five said "What do you mean?" Luther asked and Five looked down for a moment before taking a deep breath

"I found all of you" he said quietly before he looked back up at him "Your bodies" he said "We die?" Luther asked "Horribly" Five said as he thought back to that moment he found their bodies under the rubbles.

"You were together, trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world" Five said with the sound of sadness in his voice "Wait, how do you know that?" Luther asked and Five pulled out a cloth from his blazer pocket before he unravel it, taking out the fake eye "This was clutched in your dead hand when I found you" he said, holding the eye up before throwing it to Luther who caught it before he started looking at it.

"Must've ripped it out their head right before you went down" Five said "Whose head?" Luther asked "Like I said, I don't know" Five said and Luther turned the eye around, looking at the back of it "Well, there's a serial number on the back. Think maybe you could try--" "No, that's a dead end" Maddie said, cutting Luther off "Is just another hunk of glass" Five said and Luther leaned forward, handing the eye to Five who nodded before taking the eye.

Then the door opened and Diego walked in "Piece of shit" he said, storming in before stomping down the stairs and walked towards Five "Do you have any idea what you did?" he asked and was about to charge at Five but Luther hold him back.

Maddie got up and put herself between Five and Diego, Freddy got up too ready to do something "Nope, let me--Get your ape hands off me!" Diego shouted but Luther just picked him more up before he squeeze him slightly "I can do this as long as it takes you to calm down" he said "Fine" Diego said and calm down before Luther placed him down on the floor again.

"Now, wanna tell us what you're talking about?" Luther asked "Our brother has been pretty busy since he got back. He was in the middle of that shootout at Griddy's and then at Gimble Brothers, after the guys in masks attacked the Academy, looking for him" Diego said angry "None of which is any of your concern" Five said calm "It is now. They just killed my friend. They killed Eudora" Diego said.

Maddie knew who Eudora was, she was Diego's on and off girlfriend who he met at the police Academy. Maddie have only met Eudora a few times, but she was a nice and sweet woman.

"Who are they, Five?" Luther asked and Five looked at Maddie who sent him a nod telling him that it was time to tell them.

"They work for my former employer. A woman called The Handler. She sent them...to stop me. Then, soon as Diego's friend got in their way, well, fair game" Five said "And now they're my fair game. And I'm gonna see to it they pay" Diego said before he walked towards the door "That would be a mistake, Diego. They've killed people far more dangerous than you" Five said "Yeah, we'll see about that" Diego said before he left, slamming the door after him.

"Former employer. What's this really about? And don't give me any of this 'It's none of your business' crap, all right?" Luther asked "Well, it's a long story" Five said and the three looked at him, ready to hear the story.

Flashback start....

A older Five lowered his rifle as he looked at the woman. The woman had short white hair, wearing black, with a black hat and black sunglasses while holding a black briefcase.

"Who the hell are you?" Five asked "I'm here to help" the woman said and stepped closer "Tell me why I shouldn't put a bullet through your head right now!" Five said "Because...if you did, you wouldn't hear the offer I'm about to make you" the woman said before she put down the briefcase and took off her sunglasses.

"Which would be rather tragic, given your...current circumstances" she said and sat down on a brick.

"I work for an organization called the Commission. We are tasked with the preservation of the time continuum through manipulation and removals" the woman said "I don't understand" Five said "Sometimes, people...make choice that alter time. Free will, don't get me started. When that happens, we dispatch one of our agents to...eliminate the threat" the woman said and Five pointed the rifle at her "No, no, no, no. You misunderstand me. You're not a target. You're a recruit" the woman said and Five lowered the gun "I've come to offer you a job, Number Five. We've had our eye on you for quite some time. And we think you have a lot of potential. Your survival skills have made you quite a celebrity back at headquarters. That and your ability to jump through time" the woman said.

"You saying that I...I could actually leave here. Go...Go back?" Five asked "In return for five years of service. Once your contract is done, you can retire to the time and place of your choosing with a pension plan to boot" the woman said "If you can alter time why not just stop all of this from ever happening" Five said "That's quite impossible, I'm afraid. You see...all of this, it was supposed to happen" she said "That's insane. The end of everything?" Five asked "Not everything. Just the end of...something. So..." the woman said as Five looked at her.

"If you agree, you will be able to be with your beloved Maddie again" she said and Five lowered his rifle even more "I know that's what you want the most, live that life with her that you were supposed to live if you didn't time travel" she said and stretched her arm towards Five "Do we have an agreement?" she asked.

Five took a deep breath "This is for you Maddie. I will do this for you, so I can find a way to come back and save you. Be with you" he whispered before he looked back at the woman.

Flashback ends...

"They turned me into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum. Or 'corrections' as they called them. I wasn't the only one. There are others like me. Beings out of time, fractured. Extracted from the lives that they knew. I don't know how they got there. But I do know that none of them was never as good as me. I was the best they have had since someone with the codename 'Redshadow'. Anyway, they didn't realize it, but I was biding my time, trying to figure out the right equation so I could get back. If I could just get back, I knew I could stop the apocalypse. Save the world. So I broke my contract" Five said.

"So...you were a hitman?" Luther asked "Yes" Five said as Maddie handed him a cup of coffee "Uh...I mean, you had a code, right? You didn't kill just anybody" Luther said "No code. We took out anyone who messed with the time line" Five said "What about innocent people?" Luther asked "It was the only way I could get back here" Five said "But that's murder" Luther said "Jesus, Luther, grow up. We're not kids anymore. There's no such things as good guys or bad guys. There's just people, going about their lives. But when the world ends all those people die, including our family" Five said and let out a sigh "Time changes everything" he finished.

After that the four got into a car that Five had hot wire.

When the four enter the academy, Luther went his separate way, while Maddie, Freddy and Five went to his room.

"Hey, who was this Redshadow?" Freddy asked Five as him, Five and Maddie was walking towards Five's room.

"I don't know, all I have heard was stories" Five said "What kind of stories?" Maddie asked "Well, his real name was Kodi and even so he was only nine years old. He was the best of the best, a born killer and assassin, an amazing spy and a living weapon" Five said "Only nine, holy...Poor boy" Maddie said "I don't think he had a choice" Five said "Have you ever met him?" Freddy asked and Five shook his head "No. I have only heard stories, but it was like not many was talking about him and those who did, was careful about who they talked to. I have heard that he killed five guys in a bar, only armed with a pencil. He was a member of a group of kids around his age, all assassins. The group went by a name called 'The Deadly Warriors'" Five said.

"What happen to him?" Maddie asked "I don't know, I just heard that one day many years ago he just disappeared, him and his group, no note, no warning, just gone, and all the files about him and the other kids got destroyed only a few days later" Five said "Do you think that he died on a mission?" Maddie asked and Five let out a small chuckled "No, not at all, he was one of the greatest child assassin the world has ever know. He was too good and too smart to get killed. He was a very strong and powerful assassin" Five said "Like you?" Maddie asked "No, I hate to say this, but I was the Easter bunny compared to Kodi. I was a foot soldiers. Kodi was the real deal. No one could match his efficiency, his ruthlessness, not even me which is why I respect and admire him a lot, even so I have never met him, but I hope I do one day. I don't know what happen to him and I don't know much about him, but from the stories I have heard, he was awesome, I actually looked up to him and he became my idol in The Commission. He is one of the most strongest and deadly assassins and spies that have ever lived, he is a legend" Five said with a small smile "If he is still alive, he would be in his mit 20's today" he said "What do you think happen to him?" Freddy asked.

Five was about to answer but then they heard Klaus inside his room "Oh, boy..." he said.

The three looked down to see bloody footsteps leading to Klaus' room. Their eyes followed the red stains of blood on the floor to see that they started in the bathroom before going to Klaus' room.

Five put his hands in his pockets before the three walked over to the door and Five knocked on the door causing Klaus to turn around and spotted his two brothers and sister standing by the door "You okay?" Maddie asked "Hey. Yeah, I just...Long night" Klaus said and let out a chuckled.

The three knew something was wrong, their brother was not himself.

"More than one, from the looks of it" Five said "Yeah" Klaus said as he put on a shirt "Don't remember the dog tags" Freddy said as they looked at the dog tags around Klaus' neck and he let out a grunt "Yeah, they belonged to a friend" he said as you could hear the dog tags jingle a bit  and Five leaned his right shoulder against the door frame while they kept their eyes on Klaus.

"How about that new tattoo?" Maddie asked as she look at the tattoo on Klaus' left shoulder "You know, I don't totally remember even getting it. Like I said, it was a long night" Klaus said.

"You did it, didn't you?" Five asked "What are you talking about?" Klaus asked "You know, I can recognize the symptoms, Klaus" Five said as he stepped into the room "Symptoms of what?" Klaus asked as he sat down on the bed "The jet lag. Full body itch. Headache that feels like someone shoved a box of cotton up into your nose and through your brain. You gonna tell me about it?" Five asked.

"Your pals, when they broke into the house and they couldn't find you they took me hostage instead" Klaus said "And in return, you stole their briefase" Five said "Yeah" Klaus said and Five let out a chuckled "I thought there was money in it, or I could pawn it, you know, whatever" Klaus said and let out a sigh "And then I opened it" he said "And then next thing you knew, you were...where? Or should I say when?" Five asked "What difference does it make?" Klaus asked "What diff---Uh--- Okay, how long were you gone?" Five asked "Almost a year" Klaus replied "A year?" Maddie and Freddy said at the same time.

"Do you know what this means?" Five asked "Yeah, I'm ten months older now" Klaus said "No, this isn't any sort of joke, Klaus. Hazel and Cha-Cha will do whatever they can to get the briefcase. Where is it now?" Five asked as he looked around the room "Gone. I destroyed it. Poof" Klaus said and made a explosion with his hand.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Five asked aggressive "What do you care?" Klaus asked "What do I care? I needed it, you moron, so I could get back" Five said and Maddie looked at him.

What did he mean by that? Was he going back? Would he leave her again?

"I could start over" Five said "Just...Just..." Klaus said and walked towards the door "Where are you going?" Five asked "Interrogation's over, just...leave" Klaus said as he left the room.

"What is your plan?" Maddie asked Five "We need to find out how to save the world. Find out whose death could save the world" he replied which cause Maddie and Freddy to glance at each other "Will you two help me?" Five asked and the two looked back at him "What kind of questions is that, of course I want to help you. We are in this together, the heart and the head, Always and Forever" Maddie said which cause Five to smile and the two looked at each other for a few seconds before Five looked at Freddy "Fred?" he asked "I'm in" he replied "The three Musketeers and the golden trio is back again" Maddie said "Alright" Five said before he grabbed a piece of paper and started writing something down.

"What are you writing?" Maddie asked "A message for Hazel and Cha-Cha, cause I have a plan" Five replied before he looked at Freddy "Fred, you know how to find people, right?" he asked "It is my job" Freddy answered "Good" Five said before getting up "Do you think that you can find out where Hazel and Cha-Cha are?" he asked and Freddy nodded "Then give this to them and after that, me and Maddie needs your help with finding those people whose death might prevent the end of the world" Five said as he handed him the piece of paper and Freddy nodded before he put the paper in his pocket "You can count on me" he said "I know, let's begin" Five said before the three walked out of the Klaus' room "After I have delivered the message to them, I will do some research on the people you guys have found" Freddy said "Good, thanks" Five said "No problem" Freddy said and while he walked another way Maddie and Five walked into Five's room before they started doing equations on the wall.

The sound of chalk tapping was heard as the two have writing down so many equations, that they almost filled all the walls.

"I think I have something" Maddie said and grabbed a chalk before she walked over and started writing down a equation on the wall.

Five's eyes widened when he saw the equation, "I think that is. You are a genius Maddie" he said as he looked at the equation "It's tenuous, but promising" he said.

"Who you talking to? What is all this?" Luther asked as he entered the room "It's a probability map" Maddie said as the two continued looking at the equations on the wall.

"Probability of what?" Luther asked "Of whose death could save the world" Five said "We've narrowed it down to four" Maddie said "Are you two saying one of these four people causes the apocalypse?" Luther asked "No, I'm saying that their death might prevent it" Five said "Oh" Luther said and Five continued writing on the wall causing the chalk to start tapping on the blackboard.

"I'm not following" Luther said as he leaned closer "Of course you're not" Maddie said and Five turned to look at Luther "Time is fickle, Luther. The slightest alteration in events can lead to massively different outcomes in the time continuum. The butterfly effect. So all we have to do is find the people with the greatest probability of impacting the time line, wherever they may be, and kill them" Five explained and he jumped down from the bed before he grabbed a notebook and began writing down the equations while Luther nodded but in a way like he wasn't sure if he understand it or not.

Luther walked towards the wall to see who those four people were "Milton Greene. So who's he, a terrorist or something?" he asked "Freddy did some research on the four and he told us that he is a gardener" Maddie said as Five was glancing between the wall and his book while writing things down.

"I thought you said that you hate killing people?" Luther asked Maddie "I never say that. I said I don't love it, but I wouldn't mind killing to protect the people I care about" she said.

"You two can't be serious. Wait, this is madness, Five, Maddie. You..." Luther said but stopped when Freddy entered the room, holding a gun caser "Found it" he said and put the bag on the bed before opened it and pulled out a rifle.

"Where'd you get that?" Luther asked "In Reginald's room. I think he used it to shoot a rhinoceros" Freddy said "How did you get into dad's room, when is lock and I have the key?" Luther asked Freddy "It's not lock if you know how to unlock it and beside didn't I tell you, that for me nothing is really lock" Freddy said "So you broke in?" Luther said "It's not a break in when you used to live there and is your home" Freddy said before handing the rifle to Five "It's similar to the model I used at work. Nice shoulder fit and highly reliable" Five said as he got the gun ready before cocking it.

"This WAS your home, not anymore, it is illegal to break in" Luther said looking at Freddy "Then report me to the police" Freddy said before he pulled out a knife that was hiding by his waistline and made some ninja moved with it.

"I am ready" he said "Don't you need a gun?" Five asked and Freddy shook his head "No, I can do just fine with just a knife and I also have some moves hiding in my sleeves. But I have one on me just in case" Fredy said "Alright" Five said before he looked at Maddie "Maddie, do you need a gun?" he asked "No, I already have one on me and I also have my knives" Maddie said "I will get the car ready" Freddy said before he left.

"But you can't--This guy Milton is just an innocent man" Luther said in disbelief "It's basic math" Maddie said "His death could potentially save the lives of billions. If we do nothing he'd be dead in four days anyway. The apocalypse won't spare anyone" Five said "Get that through your thick skull" Maddie said.

"We don't do this kind of thing" Luther said "We are not doing anything. Maddie, Freddy and I are" Five said "I can't let you go and kill innocent people. No matter how many lives you'll save" Luther said "Well, good luck stopping us" Five said and turned around before he began walking towards the door "You're not going anywhere" Luther said.

Before Maddie could go after Five, Luther grabbed her by the neck "Luther, what the hell are you doing" Maddie said as Luther hold her out the window.

As soon as Luther grabbed Maddie and hold her out the window, Five immediately turned around, aiming the gun at him while looking through the scope.

You could see the murder in his eyes, he would anything to keep Maddie safe.

"Put...her...down" Five said threated "Put the gun down. You're not killing anyone. I know she's important to you, so don't make me do this" Luther said "Are you insane, pull me in, you idiot" Maddie said "It's not like this drop will kill you" Luther said. Luther was right, it wouldn't kill Maddie, it was not very high, probably the second or third floor, but she could get badly hurt if he did drop her.

"It's either her or the gun. You decide" Luther said as he looked at Five. 

Five had the gun pointed at Luther while staring angry at him sending him a killer look.

"Just go, he's not actually gonna drop me" Maddie said and Five glanced at her with his eyes full of worry but he stood his ground.

Five hesitated 'cause there was no way that Luther would drop his own sister, right? 

"Fine" Luther said and let go of Maddie "Holy shit" she said and Five immediately dropped the rifle before he blinked with a whooshes over to Luther's spot and he just reach to catch Maddie's wrist stopping her from falling "Got you" he said.

"Thanks Five" Maddie said as Five pulled her into the room again and she let out a sigh as he sat down next to Five on the bed "You okay?" he asked and she nodded as he patted her on the back "I'm fine, thank you" she said and he smiled.

"I can keep doing this all day" Luther said as he was now standing in Five's spot, picking up the rifle before putting it away and Five just glanced at him with an angry look before he looked back at Maddie.

"I know you're still a good person, Five. Otherwise, you wouldn't have risked everything coming back here to save us all. But you're not on your own anymore" Luther said.

'As long as I have Maddie I will be fine' Five said inside his head before he let out a sigh "There is one way. But it's just about impossible" Five said "More impossible than what brought you back here?" Luther asked making Maddie and Five looked at each other.

The three walked out of the room and down to the car where Freddy was standing, holding a briefcase that looks like the time travel ones but with metal stuff instead so Cha-Cha and Hazel would think it was real.

Luther stopped the car where they were going to meet with Hazel and Cha-Cha.

Five who was sitting next to Luther unlock his seatbelt while Maddie and Freddy was sitting in the back.

"Maddie, I'm sorry for before, I was only trying to stop Five, I was never going to hurt you" Luther said and Maddie rolled her eyes "You just keep thinking that, if it makes you feel better, big guy" she said "Why didn't you use your powers?" Freddy asked "Because they have not come back completely" Maddie said.

There was silence for a few minutes before Five spoke up "You know, I never enjoyed it" he said "What?" Luther asked as he turned to Five "The killing"  Five said before turning to look forwards "I mean, I was...I was good at my work, and I...I took pride in it" he said before looking back at Luther "But it never gave me pleasure" he said and let out a sigh "I think it was all those years alone. Solitude can do funny things to the mind" he said "Yeah, well, you were gone for such a long time. I only spent four years on the moon, but that was more than enough. It's the being alone that breaks you" Luther said.

Maddie looked down, she also felt more alone than ever when Five disappeared, but lucky she had Freddy who made her feel less alone, she didn't knew how she would feel if Freddy hasn't being there to fill out most of the empty holes.

"Well, I'm glad you're back. It has felt like a century" Maddie said and Five turned to look at her "I really missed you Maddie. In every minute, all I could think of is how you were doing and if I would ever see you again" he said and Maddie smiled.

Luther then looked at the fake briefcase "You think they'll but it?" he asked and they looked at the briefcase before Luther started messing with the briefcase on the center console. "Well, what I do know is that they're desperate. It's like a cop losing his gun, if The Commission finds out, they'll be in deep shit. Oh, not to mention the fact that they'll be stuck here until they get it back" Five said "Well, I should hold onto it" Luther said "Hm?" Five said "In case they make a move on you" Luther said "Okay, Luther, but be careful. I mean, I've...I've lived a long life, but...you're still a young man. You got your whole life ahead of you. Don't waste it" Five said and Luther looked confused at him.

Then they heard a car approaching and they looked forward to see a car driving towards them "Here we go" Five said before he looked at Maddie "If I told you to stay in the car would you do it?" Five asked before him, Luther and Freddy stepped out of the car.

Maddie unlock her seatbelt and stepped out of the car "Of course not" Five said as he saw her stepping out of the car.

The car drove passed them before stopping not far away "If this all goes sideways, I want you to know something, Maddie" Five said as he looked at Maddie.

As they were looking at each other, it was like Five couldn't say the words that was right on his tongue "I lo..." he said but stopped himself before taking a deep breath.

"I'm sorry" he said and Maddie sighed before nodding, hoping that he would have said something else.

Five then turned around and walked towards Hazel and Cha-Cha while Maddie stayed behind Luther and Freddy.

"The masks really necessary?" Five asked them as he met them in middel and Hazel and Cha-Cha took off their mask before throwing them to the side.

"So where is it, kid?" Cha-Cha asked "Wow, that's how you're gonna start. You know, we can get right back in our car and call it a day" Five said as he glanced back at Luther and the car before looking back at Hazel and Cha-Cha "You won't even make it halfway there" Cha-Cha said and pulled up a gun.

"Maybe. But as I'm sure you found out in your previous foray, my brother is not your average giant. And my other brother that is standing right there" Five said and pointed at Freddy "He almost beat your ass without using his powers, he can be pretty tough, tougher than he looks but only if we let me off his leash" Five said before he pointed at Maddie "And her, she can be quit strong and powerful, she have some magic powers that no one can compaire with, so don't underestimate her or the others" Five said.

"He's right. You dropped a chandelier on him, got right back up, the other guy almost kick your ass and the girl is still standing even after she have taking few hits to the head" Hazel said "By the time you took him out, he'd smash your precious briefcase to a pulp" Five said "Probably us too, right? So, how do we help each other?" Hazel asked "I need you to get in contact with your superior so I can have a chat with her face-to-face" Five said "About what?" Cha-Cha asked "Well, I don't believe that's any of your concern" Five said.

"Just don't tell her about the briefcase" Cha-Cha said "Fair enough" Five said and the two lowered their guns.

Cha-Cha then turned around and walked over to a phone booth while Five turned around and walked back to the three.

"What happens now?" Maddie asked "Now we wait" Five said.

But suddenly they heard a ice-cream truck chimes playing 'Ride of the Walkyries'

The three turned around to see a ice-cream truck driving towards them "Is that her?" Luther asked.

As the truck drove passed them, they saw Klaus in the driver seat waving at them as he drove past them.

Luther sent a small wave back as he, Five, Maddie and Freddy all looked confused at them.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Maddie asked "Go faster" Diego said who was sitting next to Klaus "Whee!" Ben said.

"It's a setup!" Cha-Cha said as her and Hazel pulled up their guns before they started shooting.

Luther quickly moved in front of Maddie, Five and Freddy.

The truck hit Cha-Cha and Hazel causing them to fall back making them let out a groan and Freddy quickly pulled Five and Maddie behind him while Five went in front of Maddie to protect her, before everything slowed down until it all stopped except for Five who looked confused. 

Five furrowed his brows as he bended down to look under Luther's arm.

He dodged under his arm before he looked at the scene in front of him, Luther was frozen with the briefcase in his hand. The bullets in the air had stopped. The face Hazel and Cha-Cha had when they got hit by the truck as they. The look of worry Maddie had on her face.

"What the hell just happen?" Freddy asked making Five jump a bit and looked at Freddy to see that he was the only one other than himself that wasn't frozen "I don't know, but you are not frozen" Five said "Neither are you, who did this?" Freddy asked.

"Neat trick, isn't it?" a voice asked and the two turned to the left to see The Handler with a briefcase in her left hand.

"Even so the trick was supposed to froze everyone expect Five, so how are you not frozen?" she asked as she looked at Freddy "I would like to know too, but you are the one that did this. So, who the hell are you and where do you know Five from?" Freddy asked "He used to work for me" she answered "So you are The Handler" Freddy said "I am and you must be the outcast of The Umbrella Academy, Madison Hargreeves' stupid and weak pet" she said and Freddy clenched his fist and was about to step closer to The Handler but Five put a hand in front of him stopping him. 

"Don't, this is what she wants, she want you to get angry, get under your skin, see what you are capable of, that is one of the things she do" Five whispered and Freddy took a step back "She want to talk to me, so stay here, I got this" he said "Are you sure you got this?" Freddy asked "I am" Five said "Just be careful, I feel like she is someone that can't be trusted" Freddy said "Just be ready" Five whispered and Freddy nodded "Alright" he said and Five nodded before he put his hands in his pockets as he walked over to her before he stopped when he were few feet in front of the woman that recruited him years ago.

The Handler lifted the lace out of her face and onto her small hat, before taking of her sunglasses.

As soon as Freddy saw her eyes, he got a picture in his head of the same woman but younger smiling, it was like she look familiar and he knew her, but he choose to ignore it, knowing that it was not the time.

"Hello, Five. You look good all things considered" she said "It's good to see you again" Five said "Feels like we met just yesterday. Course, you were a little bit older then. Congratulations on the age regression, by the way. Very clever. Threw us all off the scent" she said "Ah, well, I wish I could take credit. I just miscalculated the time dilation projections, and...Well, you know. Here I am" Five said before taking his hands out of his pockets and he lifted his arms out to the side.

"You realize your efforts are futile" she said before she put her briefcase behind her back "So why don't you tell me what you really want?" she asked and Five put his hands behind his back "I want you to put stop to it" he said "You realize what you're asking for is next impossible, even for me. What's meant to be is meant to be. That's our raison d'étre" she said.

But then Five put his hand to his waist, grabbing out a pistol before bringing it up, aiming it at The Handler "Yeah? Well how about survival as raison?" he asked "I'll just be replaced. I'm but a...small cog in a machine" she said and took a step closer to him causing Freddy to put his hand by his waist where his knife was, ready to threw it at the woman.

"This fantasy you've been nurturing about summoning up your family to stop the apocalypse...is just that. A fantasy. I must say, though, we're all quite impressed with your initiative, your...stick-to-itiveness, really quite...quite something. Which is why we want to offer you a new position back at the Commission, in management" she said and Five chuckled.

"Sorry. What was that now?" he asked as he still had the gun pointed at her "Come back to work for us again. You know it's where you belong" she said "Well, it's didn't work out too well the last time" he said "But you wouldn't be in the correction division any longer. I'm talking about...the home office. You'd have the best health and pension, and an end to this ceaseless travel. You're a distinguished professional in" The Handler said before looking down at Five's shorts "...schoolboy shorts. We have technology to reverse the process. I mean, you...you can't be happy like this" The Handler said as she put her hand on his gun before lowering it.

"I'm not looking for happy" Five said "We're all looking for happy" she said as she slid her hand down Five's cheek before she looked over at Maddie.

"I bet she's looking for happy" The Handler smirked at her "Leave her out of this" Five said, rising his voice and The Handler looked back at him "I know what your real happiness is" she said "And what is that?" he asked even so he knew the answer "Your true happiness is to live a peaceful, long, happy, beautiful and wonderful life with her" The Handler said and Five took a step closer to her "You are in love with her. Aren't you?" she said as she looked at him "Don't bring her into this" he said, rising his voice "I can see it in your eyes, Five. You can't deny it or hide it. You really love her, more than anything, and she mean the world to you. Am I right?" she asked "What do you want?" Five asked, changing the subject, trying to get her mind off Maddie. 

"We can make that happen. We can make you...yourself again" she said and Five sighed "And what about my family?" he asked "What about them?" she asked "I want them to survive" he said.

The Handler sighed as she looked around before she looked at Freddy, when she looked at him, he remind her of someone, someone that was dead, but maybe it was just her mind messing with her because he had the same hair color and the same face form that the person he remind about had.

"All of them?" she asked as she looked back at Five "Yes, all of them, especially Maddie" he said.

She grabbed her sunglasses from her pocket before she put them on "Well...I'll see what I can do" she said before she stretched her arm out ready for him to shake her hand "Do we have a deal?" she asked.

"One thing" Five said before he put his gun away as he walked over and lifted up the gun that was laying on the ground. He took out its cartridge and threw away the cartridge to the right before he threw the empty gun to the left.

He walked back to The Handler while glancing at Maddie.

"Mm...no" he said before he turned around and remove a bullet out of the way so it would miss both Luther and Maddie.

"Are you going with her, you can't really mean that?" Freddy asked "I have too, if it mean saving the world and our family, then I will do whatever it take" Five said "Are you sure that there is no other way?" Freddy asked "There isn't, I will do everything to stop what's coming. To protect Maddie I will do anything. Do you know the feeling about doing anything for the person you love the most?" he asked and Freddy nodded "I know the feeling, but are you sure you can trust that woman, that place?" he asked "No, but I have too, beside" Five said before he leaned closer to Freddy "I have a plan" he whispered before he leaned back "I am smarter than people think" he said and Freddy let out a small smile.

And if we hit on troubled water

And we'll be carrying each other
Until we say goodbye on our dying day

Five then looked over at Maddie before he walked over to her and put his hands on her cheeks "I'm sorry Maddie, I will come back, I promise" he said.

He then looked into her eyes before he leaned closer and pressed his lips against hers while he had his eyes closed.

He pulled away before he rested his forehead against hers "I'm doing this for the world, for our family, for you" he let out a sigh "I love you" he whispered before putting something in her pocket.

Five then looked at Freddy before he walked over to him "Will you stay with her until I'm back?" Five asked and Freddy nodded "Of course, I promise, beside you know I will protect her with my life" Freddy said and Five nodded.

"You better come back or Maddie and I will find you and hunt you down" Freddy said and Five nodded with a smile "I will come back, you know me" Five said "Good" Freddy said before him and Five did their secret and special handshakes.

They looked at each other with a smile while their fists was touching each other.

They gave each other a nod before Five walked over to The Handler but stopped and looked at Freddy "Don't tell Maddie or the others about this and where I'm going, alright" Five said and Freddy nodded "I will not tell them anything" he said "Thank you" Five said and he shook her hand before they teleported away with a whooshes and a zaps.

As soon as they were gone everything became unfrozen.

Hazel and Cha-Cha felled to the ground as Klaus crashed the truck into their car "Good God!" Klaus said.

Maddie looked to the left to see that Five was gone "Five?" she asked, looking around as she was trying to spot him, but he was nowhere to be found.

"Maddie, where is Five?" Luther asked "I don't know. I can't see him" she said.

Hazel and Cha-Cha got up and Luther lifted up the briefcase "Come get it!" he said before throwing the briefcase to the side and Cha-Cha ran after it.

Luther, Maddie and Freddy then ran over to Diego and Klaus who got out of the truck a little dizzy.

"Come on. Come on" Klaus said "Wait. My feet hurt" Diego said as Luther and Klaus help him out of the truck "Where the hell are you guys doing here?" Klaus asked the three as they ran towards the car.

Hazel picked up the gun and pulled the trigger but nothing happen other that the gun making a clicking noise saying that it didn't had any bullets "No! Shit!" Hazel said.

"Get in the car" Luther said and the four got into the car before Luther got into the driver seat "Luther, go! GO!" Klaus shouted and Luther started the engine.

Klaus turned around and gave Hazel the finger before the siblings drove away.

Maddie looked out the window, this couldn't be happening, has he left again, she just got him back and now he had left again. No he wouldn't just leave like that.

Maddie put a finger to her lip, it was like she could feel that something have being on them, like a kiss. 'I'm sorry Maddie, I will come back, I promise' she could hear Five telling her insider her head.

No, she refused to believe that Five has left, she knew that he would come back to her.

Then Maddie felt something in her pocket so she pulled up a piece of paper from her pocket.

She saw that something was writting on the paper and it was Five's handwritting.

'Maddie

I know this is a lot to explain and be in person then in a note. Yet here I am, doing this note. I know doing this would result in me leaving again, leaving you again. I want nothing else more in this world then knowing you will be safe and happy, but I know doing this you won't feel it either. I promised you that I will come back for you and the others, you just need to give me some time. I will be back as soon as I can. And please, please stay safe while I am away'
