Chapter 1: The Forest Of Green Stars
The stars shone with the moon of a mild summers night. The lush, verdant green trees set a shadow across the dulled silver stones as Syd Nightshade stepped through the glowing azure river. Green leaves flickered through the warm breeze, as if it was a flame in a cold winter.
Syd stepped with caution, like a flower in the wind. His fears fluctuated from total terror to total calmness. Leather gloves embraced his hands, keeping them milk-warm. Timid steps disturbed dirt and water. He took careful steps, quietly fearful of his destination. Syd's chocolate curls of hair bounced in front of his black shaded eyes, dancing against pale skin.
On the day that Syd left, he remembered flames. How his mother held him close and gingerly as orange flames lit glowing stars. How they flew and fluttered, illuminating brown grass and burning buildings.
"It's ok," She had lied, causing more pain then she could understand, "it's all ok."
It definitely wasn't ok. Syd's home was gone.

Otto was another Magicer. He was emotional, yet would always hide it. The same town that Syd loved was his own. He was walking alongside him, softly considering running from seemingly nothing. Damp earth passed through their feet, softly keeping hold of the bottoms of their shoes and leaving go.
His breath became heavy, Otto's lungs held onto each clutch of oxygen he had gotten, as if he was scared of letting it escape into the heavy, damp air. The dense air seemed to choke them, making every sigh louder and worse.
They were travelling to the large blackened castle. Why, they had no idea.
--------------------
Chromia was already there. In a black robe and her black shirt, she tapped against the walls. Her grey gloves attacked the inky slime in between the silver bricks.
Wiping it, she saw the silhouettes of her closest friends. She looked closer and knew why they were there.
