6 ~ Why am I Alive?
I can feel my toes. That's the first thing I feel. Weird sounding, but it's true. It's the first thing I feel. I can move them around. Then... the light. It's so bright. So bright. I don't want to open my eyes. Any movement I make sends waves of pain flowing through me. A flickering candle?
I groan softly, managing to move my leg a few millimetres. It feels good to move. "Here, drink this." A voice says. I recognise the voice. Do I? The draught of bitter tasting water is tipped down my throat slowly.
I sit up with a thump, coughing, swallowing hard. "Easy." A male voice says softly. Finally my eyes focus in front of me. A few faces come into view. I don't recognise any of them. Where am I? What happened to me? Aren't I meant to be dead?
"Ruby?" Some little kid crawls onto the bed. I shrink back. Who is this kid? "Don't you remember?"
I shake my head slowly, even though it sends pain shooting through it. "W... who are you?" My voice comes out gravelly - so roughly that I have to cough three times to bring it back to normal.
"Friends." The girl with the blond hair smiles. I think I see wings behind her. Am I imagining things?"
"Here." I feel a tiny stab in my arm. When I look down there's something green flowing into my veins. All at once, my vision dims. I see nothing but a huge bright expanse of white once again.

"What did you do that for?!" Henry asks indignantly. "She was awake!"
"She doesn't remember." Tinkerbell says. "A side affect of... what she did." Her lip curls slightly. "She won't remember anything of what happens until the others bring back the stuff to make the potion. That's why we need a drop of her blood, and something she touched..."
"Something from her parents?" Emma guesses.
"...And a kiss from her true love." Henry says with a grin. He shrugs as everyone looks at him wide-eyed. "What? It's the way to break any curse."
"This is not a curse, though." Snow argues with a frown on her flawless face.
"Yes it is." Tinkerbell disagrees. "The curse of the island. Whoever sacrifices their heart is cursed to die unless they can be saved."
"Whose her true love?" David asks. His question seems to silence everybody. Everyone looks at Tinkerbell expectantly, wondering the same.
Tinkerbell snarls slightly, but covers with a smile. "The person she said she loved a mere few days ago."

"What do we do now?" Regina asks, throwing the book back and fourth between her hands as if it's useless.
"We need something from her parents." Hook throws his hands up in the air - well, his one hand. "We have no idea who the heck they are. How are we going to find that? Pan?"
"I'm working on it." Pan mumbles. "Maybe there's a way around it... if we asked Gold."
"Gold? Rumplestilskin? He's still in Pandora's Box, genius, thanks to you. Unless the two Darlings can get him out. Which I doubt." Regina says primly. "Shouldn't we go back to my mother?"
"Cora has helped us all she can." Pan answers. "The rest is up to us. Tink will keep Ruby alive until we find what we need."
"How long does she have?" Hook asks.
"Usually..." Pan sighs. "A few days."
"Great. So... we go back to Neverland?" Regina asks. "I don't know about you guys but I just want to get home and get the hell out of there."
Pan smirks. "No. We go to Storybrooke now. To meet The Dark One."

"Hold up," Belle says. "Are you sure this is going to get Rumple out of that box?"
"Yes." George insists. "Firstly, we need something that he treasures dearly."
"Belle, of course." Ariel smiles. "Anyone can see that."
Belle's cheeks turn red. She turns her head away so they can't see her blush. Ariel catches it and gives her a wink. "I can't... go in there too? Can I?" Belle objects.
"It's not that complicated, it just needs to be something significant of you - like a lock of your hair for instance."
Belle hands scissors to Ariel. "Do it."
A brown lock of hair falls onto the table. "Good." George looks around. "We also need his biggest weakness..."
"Magic." Belle says immediately.
"Great. We just have to find something magical. Shouldn't be too hard." He says dryly, poking through a draw.
"How is it that you know so much about this?" Ariel opens a cupboard.
"We've studied Pandora's Box." Michael explains. "We were sent to get it when Pan told us to. It was the only way to save Wendy. We weren't just going to go there without studying it - knowing what we were up against. It's just, we had a bit of time to travel in-between. And we found out alot about it. It's very tricky magic to deal with. Extremely potent and powerful. Whatever is in there won't give Gold back without a fight."
"There's nothing magical around here." George says with a sigh. "No enchanted bits and pieces anywhere. This magic has to be real - working magic."
Ariel pulls Michael aside while the others search and whispers to him quietly. Looking at her swiftly, he nods. "We'll be back." He says to his brother and Belle.
Distracted, they don't answer, until the bell rings again a few moments later and something clanks on the table.
Belle turns around. "Did you find..." She stops short, seeing what's there.
On the table, a gold bracelet glitters in the light.

Once again I can feel the bright light trying to steal my moments of sleep away. I try to fight it but it wins, in the end.
"Ruby?" There's a soft voice beside my bed. Slowly, my eyes break open, and I look over to see the small kid from yesterday sitting there. He has a worried look on his little face. He kind of seems familiar... I just can't place him.
"What's wrong?" I ask hoarsely. The room continues to swirl around me. I try to blink it into focus but everything fuzzes together.
"I'm Henry." He says softly, reaching out to hold my hand. "Do you remember?"
I blink away a tear. "I'm sorry... Henry... but I don't. I don't know what happened."
"Kid, move away please." The lady that spoke to me yesterday pushes him gently but purposefully out of the way and fills the vial of her needle. The dark purple liquid seeps up to the top.
She takes my arm, turns it over and then I feel the tiny pin prick like I did yesterday. Once again, the world goes back to being a swirling mass. The last thing I see is purple radiating through my wrist.

Henry sighs, watching her sink back into sleep. All he wants is for her to remember him, to remember all of them. Why can't she?
A/N: OOH A DARK PURPLE LIQUID?!?! I just gave you a spoiler. ;) SO I'm on Twitter now, you should follow me! I LOVE talking all things OUAT. I even got favourited and tweeted from Michael Coleman, which if you don't know, plays Happy. :) He was copping a lot of flak because some girl was saying that the ship #SwanQueen should happen and he didn't agree... so there was this kind of argument and I was backing Happy up because Happy was sad and I couldn't bear it. I love Happy. ;) GOODNIGHT ONCERS!!!
