|Tragedy strikes|

-The cave-

"Ugh... I hate caves.... They're wet, cold, and too small.." Prowl complained, flinching when a water droplet fell on his head. He shot a glare at Jazz when the Polyhexian laughed at him, his doorwings flattening against his back. "It's not funny, Jazz."

Jazz snorted and followed Prowl, wrapping an arm around the mech's shoulders and pulling him closer. "I was just trying to lighten the mood, 'tis all." He giggled, a big grin on his face.

Prowl sighed and shook his head, not being able to help but smile at Jazz's goofiness. "Primus... how did I fall in love with such a doofus?" He chuckled, looking further ahead in the cave.

"I dunno, maybe cause we balance each other out! I'm all funny and laid back, you're all serious and stiff as a board!" Jazz snickered, ducking when Prowl swatted at him.

"Whatever....." Prowl mumbled, narrowing his optics when he saw something up ahead. "Hey, looks like there's a cavern up ahead.." he murmured, cautiously leading Jazz forward and flicking his headlights on. He reached the end of the tunnel, looking around at the cavern for a moment to see if it was safe. "Wow... this is pretty big, don't you think?"

"Yeah, but there's no energon!" Jazz pouted, crossing his arms across his chassis. Though, he perked up when he saw a familiar blue glow coming from a tunnel that was across the cavern. "There! The energon's in there!" He exclaimed happily, looking at Prowl.

Prowl chuckled at Jazz's excitement, looking at the tunnel and seeing the same glow. "Alright, what are we waiting for?" He said, taking a step forward. As soon as he did, the ground caved in and practically swallowed him up. He disappeared in an instant, a cloud of dust exploding into the room.

Jazz froze, everything happening so fast that he didn't even have time to react. "Prowl?!" He yelled, looking down at the gaping hole in the ground and frantically scanning for Prowl in the rubble below. He couldn't see a thing in all the dust and rocks, his sparkbeat racing a million miles an hour. "Prowl?!" He yelled again, grabbing onto the edge and climbing his way down.

He jumped off the wall and landed heavily on his pedes, his head whipping around and searching for any sign of the Praxian. "Prowl! Can you hear me?" He shouted, running over to a pile of rocks and starting to dig. Tears were building in his optics as he kept finding nothing and he blinked them away. "No no no.... please..... no... Prowl you better be okay...... you can't leave me... not now....... please...." he whimpered to himself, more tears rolling down his cheeks as he continued digging at the rocks until his hands hurt.
