This book is dedicated to my buddy, save me a spot in the grass over yonder, okay?

Orthodox Christians. We go by many names but we're real. Pentecostals. Apostolics. I might even be considered an Orthodox Pentecostal to some. This story is going to contain fictionalized events, people, and maybe even places from my life.

Of course I stray from actual events for story purposes so there are some things that may as well be real while the rest not so much. The church community is both spread out and tight-nit. For example my church doesn't fellowship with most UPC (an organization) churches but is loved by missionaries from India, Africa, Mexico, Jordan, Belize, Brazil, Austria and more. We only fellowship a few churches in Texas and fellowship some in Tennessee but there are others that I can't quite recall at the moment.

My pastor has been all over the world and has read the Bible annually for forty plus years besides study. Most Pentecostal preachers I know have either never been, or frown down upon, Doctors of Divinity or seminars. What they learn is usually from their pastor and the preachers they fellowship. Also personal study. Needless to say, we differ in our doctrines quite a bit from other denominations. Even amongst one another.

However I digress, and hope you will enjoy this informative-spiritual-romance sprinkled with humor and a bit of reality. Sincerely,
