Chapter 76- Goodbye
I do not own Naruto
......................................................
I stood along in front of Tsunade, being the last to hear her plans. "Yuki, it has been decided that Naruto will be leaving Konoha. Just for the war, as a matter of fact, he will be meeting up with the eight tailed jinchuuriki. You probably already know that this is for his and the eight tails own protection." Tsunade waited for me to nod before she continued.
"Now, as Naruto isn't aware of any of this, he is thinking that he is going on a S-rank mission. Also, when he meets up with the other jinchuuriki, he will be trained on how to control the kyuubi." Tsunade said.
I nodded, "I understand, he thinks he is going on a S-rank, and he will be trained as well... When does he leave?"
"He leaves today. And before you even think of asking, you can't go with him. I've already picked some people to go with him. Besides, there is something you are needed to do." Tsunade paused, shuffling through some papers. "Speaking of which, I'm going to need you to go to the Kessho village."
If I wasn't fully paying attention, I was now. Tsunade continued, "As the Kessho village has agreed to fight in the war with us, but at the moment they only trust you. They have agreed to allow you to take two people who you really trust to their village. There you will help train their village, and they will help train you, if you need it. I will keep in contact with you, and when we are ready, you will have to bring them all here."
I took in a breath, allowing everything she had just said to fully sink in. Then, I slowly nodded, "Okay, and when will I need to leave for that?"
I didn't miss the smirk on Tsunade's face, "Today, just like Naruto. Do you know who you till bring? I do need to send a quick message on who will be going."
My mind raced through the list of people. 'Obviously not Naruto, as he was leaving and didn't even know about the war. Shikamaru had other duties here. I completely trusted Sakura, and she wasn't out on a mission. Plus, her medical knowledge would help with the ninja's at the Kessho village, since no one really has any medical training. Zero was sent out on a mission earlier today. Ino, I didn't think would be a good choice. Choiji would have worked, but he is also out on a mission. Shino... Shino still creeps me out. Kiba would probably start a fight. Kakashi also had duties here, so he wouldn't be able to go. Sai, I had a feeling he would say something and cause a fight not meaning to. Tenten was helping rebuild, and I don't think the Kessho needed any help with weapons. Hinata was also out on a mission at the moment. Ichiru! His skills were far superior, at least from what little I've seen, and I don't think he would try any fights.'
My mind now fully made up, I made eye contact with Tsunade. "Sakura and Ichiru."
Tsunade smiled, pleased with my decision. "Very well, I'll notify them and have them meet you at the gates in two hours. That should give you some time to say goodbye to Naruto. After all, it will be months before you two see each other again."
Hearing that, my heart clenched as I gave a stiff nod. "Thank you, Granny Tsunade."
"You're dismissed, Yuki. You might want to run if you're going to make it to Naruto." Tsunade nodded towards the door.
My eyes widened as I spun on my toes and swiftly darted out of the door. My feet carried me through the village, gracefully spinning and twisting around the passing civilians. It wasn't long before I saw the gates and the people who stood under them.
My eyes locked on one person, ignoring everyone else as I ran faster. "Naruto!" I shouted, making the blond turn in my direction. A bright grin formed on his face when he saw me.
Making it to him, I jumped and landing in his outstretched arms. I puffed out my cheeks at him, "You didn't even tell me you were going on a S-class mission. Which is completely unfair, since you're still a genin.-"
He interrupted me by placing a kiss on my lips. He pulled back and grinned at me, "Sorry. I actually just found out today."
I hugged him tighter, knowing I wouldn't be able to even contact him for the next couple of months. "You better be careful." I ordered.
He chuckled, "I will be, and the same goes for you. I know you'll be going out on more dangerous missions for now on."
I nodded, letting myself look over at Gai, who seemed to be going. "Oi, Gai sensei, you make sure and keep Naruto safe!"
Gai gave me a thumbs up, and a sparkling grin. "Don't worry, Yuki! I'll keep Naruto safe!"
Nodding I looked back at Naruto, giving him another quick kiss before I detached myself from him. He gave me one more smile before he turned and started to walk away. I clenched my fist on my skirt as I watched him walk away. Not knowing if I would ever see him again, as I was going to be entered into a war, one that I was not sure if I would survive.
I stayed rooted to the spot until they were fully out of sight. I chewed on the inside of my cheek, only breaking my trance when a hand landed on my shoulder. Looking up I was greeted by Kakashi.
"He'll be okay." He muttered, looking in the direction that Naruto had left in. I was so absorbed in my thoughts, I haden't even noticed he was here.
I nodded, "Yeah. That's the entire reason for him going on the 'mission'."
Kakashi looked down at me, a smile formed on his face. "You might want to go pack for your mission now."
I swallowed, nodding. "Yeah..."
My eyes widened when Kakashi placed his hand on my head, ruffling my hair. "I'll be here to see you off."
..........................................................................
Unlike other missions, I was packing much more as I knew I would be there longer. With both my ninja outfits, and my civilian outfits I managed to fit it all in one larger bag. Along with my clothes were summoning scrolls, containing weapons and extra medical equipment.
Looking over at my house, I took in a breath. Finally, the full weight of the war was leaning on me now. Knowing I probably wouldn't be able to come back here until after the war. Two books sat on my coffee table, catching my attention. Swiftly I picked them up and placed them in my bag before I walked outside my home. Locking the door behind me, I started to make my way towards the village gates.
Halfway there, Sakura joined me. She too, had a larger than normal bag with her. Yet, unlike me, she was buzzing with excitement. "I can't wait to see what the Kessho Village looks like!"
I gave a small smile, "Yeah, it's beautiful. Just remember, you're going to be teaching them all medical ninjutsu."
"Tell me, why don't they have any good medical ninja's?" She asked, looking ahead.
"Most of the ninja's there are crystal users. Apparently we have a tendency to accidentally crystallize people when we heal. I'm assuming since I have two natures I'm able to use medical ninjutsu. However, the other people, without crystal style, have absolutely no skills with medical ninjutsu at the moment, so you were the perfect choice." I explained.
"I see..." Sakura muttered, more serious but she still seemed to contain her excitement.
It wasn't long before we reached the main gates, where I was greeted by more of our friends. I caught Ichiru standing with a big grin on his face while he talked to Kiba. Seeing Sakura and I, everyone smiled at us.
I looked at Ichiru and Sakura though, completely serious. "Ichiru, Sakura."
The two I had addressed looked at me, seeing my serious attitude and seemed to match me. "I need to tell you this first. The Kessho village is still very wary of strangers. It would not be wise to start any trouble, especially since we are going to be there to keep the tensions down and help train. Up until now only two people outside of the village have known of their location, and you two are going to also be responsible to keep that location secret."
They nodded, "Understood."
I gave them a smile, "Good," Turning to our friends I shared the same smile. "Thanks for seeing us off."
Kiba smirked, "How could be not? You guys won't be back for a couple of months."
"Yuki, be careful." Kakashi gave a wave.
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, yeah, Kakashi sensei."
Having said our goodbyes, I started to lead Sakura and Ichiru out towards the Kessho village. This time however, we were all three silent. The only sound that surrounded us was our feet pushing against the tree branches that we jumped though.
At least two months of non-stop training, then we would be in war. I still don't know what all is in store for me, but I did know one thing for sure. No matter what, I was going to make sure Naruto was safe.

End of Chapter 72, and 'Saving Him'! I know it was really short, and possibly rushed, but to me that was the best way to end this book. Since I'm going to be starting the next one basically where this one leaves off, it will be uploaded later this week.
I hope you all liked this chapter, even if it was the ending for 'Saving Him' :)
This chapter is not edited.
