Chapter 72- Uchiha V.S Okami

I do not own Naruto

.............................................................................

"Yuki, I'm not going to let you fight Sasuke." Kakashi growled, taking a step closer to me.

I turned my head to look back at Kakashi, my lips pressed together in a thin line. "Then I hope you can forgive me, sensei." Making sure Sakura was in range of the jutsu, I allowed crystal to form around them. Kakashi's eyes widened as he tried to move quickly enough, but was soon trapped in the crimson fruit jutsu.

He banged on the crystal, "Yuki! Let me out now!"

A soft wind blew, shading my eyes with my bangs as I tired to keep a straight face. Slowly I turned back to look at Sasuke, saying one more thing to Kakashi and Sakura. "Sakura, even your strength won't break that crystal. Unless something happens to me, you guys will be safe. Just... Just forgive me, I don't want you guys getting hurt."

Kakashi's banging seemed to stop, and I could hear the faint whisper of my name from both of them. For now, I would have to ignore my sickness, I would just have to rest more later on. Sasuke stared at me, his face still holding a crazed look.

"Yuki, you're still too caring." He said.

I gave a small smirk, "I wouldn't call that a weakness, if that's what you're implying."

"I hope you're ready, Yuki, because I'm sending you to join your clan." Sasuke glared.

I tilted my head, "I see, that's what you think? You see, I have some people that need me here, and I'm not quite ready to join my parents or clan again. Been there, done that, and it wasn't that fun, at least not right now anyway." I lunged at Sasuke, swinging a fist at him.

He jumped to the side, sending me off balance for a moment as my fist hit the ground, partially destroying it and somewhat crystallizing it. Sasuke paused to look at the crystal, "I can see you have picked up a few new tricks."

I ignored him as I pulled four marked kunais from my pouch. I stuck one in the ground, just in case. Placing one in my mouth I threw one high in the air, and one straight at Sasuke. Before he could move to the side to avoid it, I released the first seal.

Appearing right in front of him I grabbed a hold of his shoulders and released the second seal of the kunai already in the air. Then I threw the last kunai in the air once more, while Sasuke was airborne I built more velocity as we both began falling towards the ground. A rasengan formed in my hand as I was falling. My eyes narrowed as I was about to hit Sasuke with the rasengan. However his arm moved up towards me with the chidori.

My eyes widened as I quickly managed to avoid it by releasing another seal. My breathing more ragged, I closed my eyes, only to reopen them with the Sharingan.

This seemed to royally piss off Sasuke, as his eyes turned crimson as well. "The Sharingan is proof of being a Uchiha! You have no right, as you aren't a Uchiha, to have it!" He charged at me, his hand going to his bandaged arm. I easily dodged the shuriken he had summoned to throw at me.

"Ah, but you're forgetting. I'm an Okami, so in a way I do have a right to have this, Sasuke." I said, forming crystal in my hand into a spear while running at him.

His arm light up in electricity as he charged at me, quickly I changed my direction just in time to avoid the chidori attack. Bits of rock flew in the air as his attack hit the ground. I stuck the crystal spear in the ground then used that to help support me as I sent a hard kick to Sasuke's back, sending him over the bridge.

Pulling out multiple marked kunai's, I send them around the new battlefield before I jumped down from the bridge. Any shouts from either Kakashi or Sakura were ignored, as I was completely absorbed in the fight.

Sasuke once again stood in front of me, a sinister grin on his face. "I'll admit, you aren't too bad with the Sharingan, Yuki. But, can you do this with it?"

My eyes widened slightly when his Sharingan changed and a skeleton seemed to form from purple flames around him, a skeleton that was at least ten times my original size. Then muscle formed on the skeleton and swords appeared on it, all the while Sasuke stood still at the base and center of the new body above him.

"This isn't some kind of talent show, Sasuke." I tired to play off my nerves. "I mean, even if it was, I would still win."

Before Sasuke could lounge the attack, I already saw it coming. Just waiting for the right moment, I released a seal from one of my scattered kunai's just before the arrow from the strange purple body could hit me.

"Not bad, Sasuke." I muttered, my nerves getting to me again as crystal formed around me.

"Last time I saw you, you seemed to be having an episode. So when is your illness going to start effecting you? " He asked, my eyes narrowed down into a glare. "Because if I remember correctly, you can't use too much chakra, otherwise you'll have an episode."

"I bet you're counting on that to happen." I growled, but noticed how the jutsu he was using was effecting him. "However, I am wondering how long you can keep that up."

Just as I said that I noticed his eyes widen in pain as the purple body that was surrounding him disappeared. The heel of his palms dug into his eyes as he shouted in pain.

I knew what was happening, since it had happened to me whenever I used the mangekyo. It would also explain the bleeding coming from Sasuke's eye. "I bet your sight is bad right now." I said, taking a step closer.

He shouted again, both in pain and anger. Crystal formed in my hand once again as I lunged, I wouldn't kill him, but I already knew I would have to injure him if I was going to take him back to Konoha. He looked up again just to see me pierce his shoulder with the crystal.

I clenched my teeth as I watched the pained look on Sasuke's face as my crystal spear went through his left shoulder. My eyes went wide as if I was just realizing what I had really just done, my sharingan eyes faded back to green. Even after all that had been done, I really did still think of Sasuke as a comrad.

"S-Sasuke... I..." I whispered, seeming more shocked than I should have been.

"You're just like all of them..." He muttered, I blinked, my eyes growing more wide.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You act like you care, but you really don't." He said. "To think, Itachi gave his life to keep that village safe. To keep people like you safe. And all of you never appreciated him. You all laugh, you're all laughing at him."

"Sasuke..." I muttered, my hands still on the crystal that was still in his shoulder.

"I really want nothing more than to kill you all." He growled, his hand lighting back up into a Chidori.

As if frozen in place I watched as his hand slowly went closer to me. Quick flashes of when he had first hit me with that jutsu went off in my mind, holding my still. Then, just before it could hit me, I was cradled to a chest and sent away from Sasuke. Looking up I noticed blonde hair and familiar blue eyes.

Naruto landed softly on the water, holding me close to him while looking back at Sasuke. My breathing now a bit heavier I stared at Naruto. "What are you doing here?" I managed to whisper.

He gave a small smile, although pained. "Just being the hero, and saving you."

I looked over when two more people jumped down from the bridge, realizing in my shock I must have released the jutsu keeping Kakashi and Sakura from the fight. Kakashi looked at Naruto, then at me.

"Your timing is perfect, Naruto. Though I didn't imagine you coming here, you're a lifesaver. Yuki, don't do that ever again." Kakashi said.

I looked to the ground, avoiding Naruto's eyes as he gently placed me on the ground. "Sakura, can you look after Yuki for me?"

"Y-Yeah..." She muttered, running over to me. I was at my limit, my sick body wasn't prepared to take anymore, so I couldn't complain as Sakura made it over to my side as Naruto went to stand beside Kakashi.

"Sasuke." Naruto growled. "Yuki is a fellow ninja from team seven. How could you try to kill her with the Chidori?!"

"Was a fellow ninja. I no longer belong." Sasuke smirked. "Besides, that wouldn't be the first time the Chidori hit her."

Sakura and Naruto seemed to blink, both looking over at me. This seemed to make Sasuke smirk more. "Oh, she didn't tell you."

"What is he talking about, Yuki?" Sakura asked.

"It's nothing." I quickly said.

"I reckon she has at least a scar from it, on her stomach." Sasuke continued.

"Yuki, is what he saying true?" Sakura pressed. I noticed Naruto's fist clench as he looked from Sasuke to glance at me. "Did you really get that scar from Sasuke? Let alone with Chidori?"

I remained silent, biting my cheek as I refused to say anything. Kakashi looked back at me, his eye filled with pain as he knew it to be true. "Unfortunately, yes. What Sasuke is saying is true, Sakura, Naruto. When Yuki went after Sasuke with you, Naruto, she must have made it just after your battle with Sasuke. Then, he had hit her with the Chidori. She had almost died if I hadn't gotten there in time."

Naruto's face shot forward to look at Sasuke, his fist clenching.  I focused my attention to Sakura, who was gripping my shoulders tightly, her eyes staring at Sasuke to finally looking at me. "Yuki... I didn't know."

"It dosen't matter." I muttered, my breathing still heavy. Sakura paused, noticing my still heavy breathing. As if suspicious, she placed her cool hand on my forehead.

Her eyes widened before glaring at me. "You're sick. That's at least a 103 fever."

I raised an eyebrow, "A 103 fever? Huh, that was a lot higher than I originally thought."

"You idiot. Even now you're pushing yourself." She scolded, shaking her head at me.

"Well, I couldn't just let either you or Kakashi sensei just kill him..." I muttered. "I know you wouldn't be able to handle killing Sasuke, you still love him. Even if you just said you don't, love dosen't happen like that."

Her eyes widened before she looked away, I didn't miss the tears in her eyes. Deciding to focus back on Naruto and Sasuke I looked towards the two, who seemed to be glaring at each other.

"-What you've been doing is understandable." Naruto said. Kakashi looked back at Naruto with wide eyes, as did Sakura. Thinking back to Itachi, if Sasuke has heard the truth, if that even is true, it would be understandable.

But once I looked over at Sasuke, I saw his own eyes wide and his body shaking while his fist clenched up.  "Naruto... I told you before. You don't have any parents or siblings, so you couldn't possibly understand me. So outsiders can keep their mouths shut!"

I winced as Sasuke shouted, glaring at Naruto. Beside me, Sakura stood up, still having a hand on my shoulder. "Do you know what Naruto has gone through for you?! No matter what rumors we hear about you, he never stops thinking of you as a friend! The same goes for Yuki!" Sakura shouted, her fierce look slowly dying as she looked down. "While everyone targeted you, Naruto and Yuki tried to rescue you! Even now..."

"Rescue me? From what?" Sasuke asked.

Sakura looked down again. "Well, from..."

"From revenge..." Naruto and I muttered, knowing Sakura couldn't answer because even she didn't know the answer.

"I swear I'll save you from the chaos of vengeance." Naruto declared.

Sasuke smirked, "There's no need for that. The stage has already been set for my vengeance to happen!  Just a while ago, I finally got to take vengeance on one of Itachi's enemies."

"You mean Danzo." I answered quietly. "Sasuke, I know Itachi wouldn't want you going down that path.-"

"Don't talk like you knew my brother!" Sasuke snapped.

"I did know him!" I shouted back, "But I guess you don't remember, when we were kids and Itachi would help look after me when my parents were gone on missions. I know he wouldn't want you going down the path that you are going down on right now."

Sakura looked at me, "How did you know it was Danzo?"

"I could still sense traces of his chakra from the fight." I answered.

As if choosing to ignore me now, Sasuke seemed to smile. "I've never felt better. I feel the tainted Uchiha name becoming cleansed. I feel the Uchiha getting free from this rotting ninja world. You guys couldn't begin to understand. And isn't want I'm doing exactly what you Leaf ninja wanted all along? You've always snubbed and put down the Uchiha. So I'll help erase the Uchiha from your memories. I'm going to kill all of you, and destroy the Hidden Leaf!"

A chill shuddered through my body as my eyes widened. 'He can't really mean that... But if he does, then I will have no choice but to really fight him...'

"Severing all bonds from the Hidden Leaf is the ultimate purification! And that shall lead to the Uchiha's true restoration!" Sasuke grinned at us.

A moment of silence filled the air between all of us. I clenched my fist, not knowing what was going to come next. I noticed Kakashi's head turn slightly to look at us for a moment before looking back at Sasuke. I noticed Naruto move first, creating two shadow clones, then Kakashi move a arm in front of Naruto.

"This is my task." Kakashi stressed. "Naruto, Sakura, Yuki. Get out of here."

"But Kakashi sensei..." Sakura argued.

"If you stay, you'll see things you do not want to see. Now go!" Kakashi ordered, stepping closer to Sasuke.

"But-" Sakura was cut off.

"Sakura, the poison-lased kunai Shizune taught you how to use won't kill Sasuke. Orochimaru gave him resistance to poisons. What's more... You've come to terms with your feelings, right?" Kakashi murmured.

My eyes snapped up when I heard the familiar chirping of birds. As much as I hated to admit it, that certain noise and jutsu seemed to instill a small amount of fear in my body. He started to move closer to us, making me chew on my cheek. Kakashi then performed the same jutsu, another chidori joined the chirping noises.

"Kakashi sensei, this 'something' I don't want to see..." Naruto muttered before demanding. "Are you going to kill Sasuke?"

Instead of answering Naruto's question, Kakashi just ordered, "Go! All three of you!"

My eyes widened when Naruto's clone went to hold Kakashi while quickly making a rasengan. My breathing hitched as he charged at Sasuke. "No! Naruto-kun!" I shouted, stumbling to me feet as I tired to make it to Naruto and Sasuke before their jutsu's clashed.

Naruto's clone's hand just faintly brushed my arm as it tried to stop me from running towards the two. 'If the Chodri and Rasengan hit...'

However, I made it a second too late, as just as I was about in range they hit their targets. The air was forced out of my lungs as a explosion seemed to erupt between the two of them. My body was blown backwards, but all I could think about was Naruto.

My body only stopped when it hit the rocks, my head exploding in pain upon impact as black dotted my vision. Then, once again I was falling, but this time into the water below me. As I tried to keep conscious, I found myself sinking in the water, air bubbles escaping me as I fell deeper and deeper.

Then, a arm reached out and dragged me back to the surface, making me realize it was one of Naruto's clones. With glazed over eyes I looked at the clone then slowly looked over seeing Kakashi quickly catch Naruto as he was sent flying as well.

"Yuki-chan, are you okay?" Naruto's clone asked.

I looked back up at him, my breathing heavy again as the pain set in deeper, and I tried to keep from making any noise. Hearing small splashing sounds, I looked up with a wobbly head seeing Sakura running to me.

Making it to me she placed one of my arms over her shoulder, while my other was around the clone. My head bobbed back and forth, as I tried to stay awake. Kakashi dragged Naruto back to stand beside Sakura and I. There Naruto took the place of his clone, looking at me guiltily.

I looked from Naruto back towards Sasuke, realizing who was joining us as well. Madara had appeared, standing beside Sasuke. "What's going on, Sasuke?" He asked. "I told you to go home and rest." He looked over at us, I could feel his eye linger on me.

"I thought I told you to leave imoto alone..." He sighed. "It just seems that you can't suppress the urge to fight, especially when you three get together. I'll arrange a proper place for you to hunt the Kyuubi, without the interruption of imoto. For now, we'll retreat."

Naruto looked at me, then had one of his clones take his place again. I tired to voice an objection as he started walking towards Sasuke. Kakashi seemed to do it though, "Naruto!"

"I'm all right. Just keep an eye on Yuki." Naruto said. "I need to make sure I say something to Sasuke." He paused, about half the distance to Sasuke now. "Sasuke... Do you remember? Do you remember what you said to me long ago in the Final Valley? The thing about high-level shinobi. Clashing face-to-face. Just now, we learned things from just trading blows from each other. It means we've become high-level shinobi. You and Me. Sasuke... Were you able to read what was inside my heart? And you saw it, didn't you? That if you and I fight, we will both die."

I let out a puff of air, unable to make any other noise as just the thought of that happening tore my heart in two.

"Sasuke. If you attack the Hidden Leaf, I will have to fight you. Save your hatred until then. At that time, throw all of your hatred at me. The only one who can handle all that hatred is me. Only I can forfill that duty! And on that day, I'll bear the burden of your hate and die with you!" Naruto instructed.

I somehow managed to sake my head, only making my vision blur more and a large amount of nausea travel through me. "No..." I whispered.

"What is it with you, Naruto? Just what the hell do you want?!" Sasuke demanded. "Why are you so fixated on me? You too, Yuki!"

"Because you're my friend!" Naruto answered without a heartbeat.

I could feel Kakashi, and Sakura's eyes go from Naruto to me. I managed to keep my head up as I tried to meet Sasuke's eyes, which were hard since there was currently three of them. "You're like a brother..." I muttered.

"I'm not giving up yet! I know I speak for Yuki when I say this too, I'm taking you back to the Hidden Leaf Village!" Naruto grinned. "That's something I'll never give up on, dattebayo!" He laughed then, "Well, I've rambled on enough. Damn it. A poor talker like me lecturing you, it's not my style. If we both end up dying... You won't be an Uchiha and I won't be the Kyuubi jinchuriki. We'll be free of our burdens. And we'll finally be able to understand each other in the next world!"

Beside me I noticed Sakura letting a few tears spill as she tried to keep from crying. "I don't plan on changing. Nor am I interested in understanding you. And I don't plan of dying. You're the one who is going to die." Sasuke argued.

Keeping his smile, I'm sure, Naruto said. "If I die, we both die, Sasuke."

Sasuke seemed to smile, "Fine then, but I'm killing you first."

Then, Madara took Sasuke, Zetsu, and himself and left. Once again there was no trace of them as they disappeared. Then I finally muttered, "Sakura, I really don't fell well..."

Naruto quickly turned around and ran back over to me, his eyes narrowed on me. Taking me easily from Sakura and his clone he held me to his chest, where my head rested as Sakura walked over to look at it.

"Yuki, you're always so reckless." He muttered.

"Says the guy... who plans on dying..." I murmured, wincing when Sakura placed her hand on my head.

"Naruto, I'm going to need you to make sure Yuki dosen't fall asleep on the way back. Not only did she hit her head hard enough to cause it to bleed, but if she falls asleep she may not wake up." Sakura said, before looking at me with a glare. "Yuki, you idiot! How dare you come out here when you knew you were sick to begin with! And then you go and rush in recklessly, and now you have a bad injury on top of being sick!"

I groaned softly, pushing my face into Naruto's chest. "Naruto-kun, make her stop yelling at me... Her voice is just echoing in my head, and I feel like I'm going to vomit."

Her eye twitched, "Are you saying my voice is enough to make you vomit?!"

"No..." I sighed, wincing. "I mean my head is bleeding, and since I have a head injury everything is a bit fuzzy, and I'm nauseated, and your shouting isn't helping."

.................................................................

We had just collected the red head that was with Sasuke, and Kakashi was carrying her as she too was injured. Sakura was standing next to Naruto and I, using some bandages to wrap up my head before we went to meet up with the group that had gone with Sakura.

"Yuki, what's your favorite food?" Naruto asked.

I sighed, this was his attempt to keep me awake. "Sushi... And your favorite food is ramen."

He grinned, but before he could say anything else I muttered. "Ah, looks like Yamato is here. You might want to start moving..."

Naruto blinked at me, still not moving. I sighed when the ground started moving, as wood came up from the ground. Naruto almost lost his balance, but he kept his hold on me tight as he refused to drop me. However, all the moving around didn't help with my nausea. It was clear Yamato had meant to just put Naruto in the wooden cage, but it had as well trapped me.

"I think I'm going to be sick..." I whined.

"What are you doing here?" Yamato demanded, glaring at Naruto. "You were supposed to go back to the village with me! You even made a hold in the floor of the inn!"

I raised an eyebrow, "You made a hold on the flood just to escape?"

Naruto looked at me sheepishly, "Maybe..."

"I had to pursue you, and I was barely able to apologize to the innkeepers!" Yamato growled.

"Ah, Naruto came in the nick of time, but it seems you didn't send him over." Kakashi said.

"Of course not! After all, you told me to take Naruto back to the village!" Yamato shouted.

"In essence, Naruto left you behind." Kakashi seemed smug.

"No, well..." Yamato sighed.

I smirked, "Ah, but Kakashi sensei, didn't I leave you behind then?"

His smug look seemed to drop as he stared at me. Deciding to ignore me he looked back at Yamato. "It turned out fine, Yamato. If Naruto hadn't come, Yuki might have been dead now. And maybe even me, depending on the circumstances."

"Ne, Yuki, who's your favorite wolf?" Naruto asked.

"I like them all equally." I answered, laying my head on his chest again as the wood went back to the ground.

"Who's your favorite person?" He smirked.

"Akamaru." I smirked, looking up at his dumbstruck face.

"W-What?!" He shouted.

"Next to you, of course." I gave a small smile, as his face lit up red. "Oh, and Naruto..." He blinked looking down at me by my sudden seriousness. "I won't let you die. I'm not going to let either you or Sasuke die."
His blue eyes met my determined stare, then he gave a small smile. "Okay, as long as you're safe too."

"Oi, Naruto, Yuki, Sakura!" Naruto and I turned to look at Kakashi, who was already walking towards the direction Sakura had left her team. "We should be going!"

"Ah, okay..." Naruto muttered, letting Sakura finish wrapping my head before running to catch up with Kakashi. "What are we doing again?"

"Um, we're just grabbing something I left behind." Sakura gave a guilty smile.

""Oh, that was oddly careless of you, Sakura. Normally you're always prepared." Naruto blinked, not noticing the guilty look that crossed Sakura's face.

I yawned, fighting to keep my eyes open now. Naruto, seeming to take notice of this tried to start up another conversation. "When do you think Ichiraku is going to open again?"

"Hmm, I bet it will be open by the time we get back, and hopefully my house is built too. I'm tired of living in a tent." I muttered.

Naruto nodded, "Yeah, it would be great if Ichiraku was open by the time we got back. I could really go for some ramen."

"You're hungry, aren't you?" I sighed, and as if on que his stomach rumbled. Sakura giggled from beside us.

"So, are Zero," He paused while making a face as if the name itself was the worst thing in the world. "And Ichiru, going to keep living with you? I think it would be cool if Zero still lived with you, since you're long lost cousins and all, but I really don't like that Ichiru guy."

I gave a tired laugh. "I'm not sure. I would like for them to still live with me, since it did get pretty lonely being in a house all by myself, I have a feeling they will probably get a place for themselves. And you should give Ichiru a chance, he isn't all that bad of a guy."

"He's friend's with Kiba..." Naruto grumbled.

I raised an eyebrow, "You're friends with Kiba."

He paused, "He's trying to steal my girlfriend."

To this Sakura snickered, which earned her a look from Naruto. I sighed, "To be honest, he isn't even my type. If anything you should have been more worried about Gaara."

Taking notice of his worried look I gave a small chuckle. "But, you should know that I only like you. Don't go off being all jealous, especially for no reason. Besides, I'm kinda trying to get Zero to meet Gaara. She recently told me that she has a slight crush on him."

Sakura leaned closer to me, her eyebrow raised. "Oh? Zero-chan likes Gaara?"

I blinked, "Well, she said she likes red-heads and she seems to like him from whatever rumors she's heard."

A sneaky grin found it's way onto Sakura's face. "I'm guessing she's going to be as hopeless as you, since she is related to you."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I demanded.

"Oh, nothing." She sang, picking up her pace a little bit to walk closer to Kakashi.

"Naruto-kun, what does she mean?" I asked, looking up at the blonde.

He snickered this time, "Nothing, Yuki-chan."

"Then why are you snickering?" I narrowed my eyes.

"I'm not telling." He grinned.

I huffed, "I can walk by myself."

This time he snorted, which caused me to puff out my cheeks. "Yeah right! Not only do you have a head injury, but since you forgot to wear your coat in the snow you're sick! No way in hell am I letting you try to walk on your own, besides I'm pretty sure Sakura would kill me if I even gave in to your demands."

...........................................................................

"Eh, this is what you forgot?" Naruto asked, tilting his head to the side to look at Sakura. "How could these guys just lay around sleeping while you were in such a bind, Sakura?"

In response to Naruto, Sakura laughed nervously. I smirked, "She drugged them."

Naruto blinked, his mouth dropping as he looked from me to Sakura to the sleeping boys. "Wow, I didn't know Sakura could do that..."

"Lucky bastards..." I muttered, feeling more and more drowsy as I watched them sleep. "Can I sleep too?"

"No." Kakashi answered dully.

"Hell no!" Sakura growled.

"Sorry, but you can't." Naruto said.

I puffed out my cheeks, looking over at the girl Kakashi was carrying. She seemed to meet my eyes for a moment before looking away.

"Sakura, apologize properly after you wake them up." Kakashi ordered, acting like a parent who was trying to teach their child right.

To which, Sakura looked down like a scolded child, "I will." She muttered.

"Eh, if you don't wake them up soon, I'm going to sleep." I warned, hoping to speed things along.

"Idiot!" Sakura growled to me, "You better know better than to just go to sleep like that!"

I stared at her dully, "I'm tired, and sick, and injured. Leave me alone."

.....................................................

I watched as Sakura woke up each of the sleeping boys, smiling apologetically at them as she did so. She turned to look at Sai, "And lastly, Sai."

He opened his eyes, "I'm up, the drug has worn off." He said.

"I wonder how long he was laying there pretending to be sleeping..." I murmured, feeling Naruto's head nod from beside me.

Sakura smiled at him, "I'm sorry."

Kiba looked over at Naruto and I. "Hey, how come Yuki and Naruto are here? And what's up with Yuki?"

I groaned, burring my head in Naruto's chest. "Ah, Yuki went with Kakashi to help with Sasuke. I came alone as well after. But, since Yuki was already sick, she couldn't fight as well, and ended up getting injured. Now she isn't allowed to sleep."

"Does that give me an excuse to annoy her? Since she isn't allowed to go to sleep?" Kiba smirked.

"Why am I even friends with you?" I complained, before remembering. "Oh yeah, the shared custody of Akamaru."

His eye twitched, "I never agreed to that, remember!"

I sighed dramatically, "I know, it was a horrible battle. And now I can only have Akamaru as my part time dog."

"That's strange..." Sai muttered.

Sakura looked over at him, as well as everyone else. "What is it? Are you still feeling nauseous?"

"No. But can you take a look?" Sai opened his mouth and stuck out his tongue.

"Looks fine to me," Kiba shrugged.

"Then, the curse mark is gone?" Sai asked. He turned to look at Kiba to explain.

"Ah, maybe it disappeared when Danzo was killed." I whispered to myself.

"Isn't Danzo the new Hokage now?" Kiba asked."Although he hasn't officially taken office yet."

I looked at Naruto, "We should probably tell them, since I bet Kakashi sensei will be too lazy to explain."

Naruto looked at me ans shrugged. "I think we'll let Kakashi handle this one."

"Would it be more comfortable if you carried me piggy back?" I asked, realizing he was still holding me bridal style.

He paused to ponder for a moment before shrugging again. "I'm fine like this. You aren't really even heavy. Besides, it's not too bad having you close to me like this."

My eyes widened as my face started to burn while I quickly looked away. This made Naruto laugh as he held me up a little to place a soft kiss to my forehead.

............................................................

We weren't too far from the village now, but it felt like the walk was just dragging on. It didn't help that I couldn't sleep despite being so tired, and my fever hadn't gone down at all yet. And to add on to the fact that Kiba hadn't shut up the entire time back.

"Damn it, this is ridiculous! We listened to her wishes and even located Sasuke for her." Kiba complained.

Kakashi sighed, "Now, don't be so upset, Kiba."

"Don't act like you're the only hero here, Sakura." Kiba went on, "You told us to keep this a secret from Naruto and Yuki, but Sai went and blabbed it all to him, on top of which, Sasuke got away."

"Kiba!" Naruto, finally seeming annoyed by Kiba turned to look over his shoulder at him. "Be a man and quit complaining."

I smiled slightly when I heard Kiba's shouting. "S-Speak for yourself, Naruto!"

Naruto blinked, "Huh, me?"

I looked over at Sai, who turned to look at Naruto as he had been walking beside us. "Oh, you're right about that! You are too simple and dumb to be able to think as complexly as you've been attempting."

I gave a soft laugh at that, realizing Sai was actually laughing as well. Naruto turned to glare at Sai. "Hey Sai! Since when did you develop such a carefree laugh? Huh?!" Naruto demanded.

Sai smiled, "Thank you. I've been working on these things with Yuki."

"That wasn't a compliment!" Naruto shouted, then looked at me. "And you, stop laughing too!"

I looked at Sai, smiling at him. "You're getting better at showing emotions, Sai."

Then another laugh filled the air between all of us. Naruto turned to look at Lee. "What is is, bushy brows?"

"It's like you're back to being your old self, Naruto." Lee smiled.

"He means you haven't grown at all." Kiba teased. "Once an idiot, always an idiot."

"Kiba, you're the idiot! Idiot!" Naruto stuck out his tongue.

"I don't wanna hear that coming from an idiot!" Kiba resorted.

Beside us, Sai seemed to be having the time of his life as he was smiling and laughing at the whole conversation. This once again drew the attention of Naruto, who glared again at Sai. "I've had enough of your smiling face!"

"Hey, Naruto!" I protested. "Leave Sai alone!"

Naruto paused to look down at me, and soon he sighed and became quiet. I giggled, once again realizing into Naruto's arms.

Once the chatter silenced again I found my eyes starting to droop, having my head almost fall as I tried to stay awake. After a moment, I allowed my eyes to close for just a moment to rest.

"Yuki! Don't fall asleep!" I jumped at the sound of Sakura's voice.

Looking over startled I looked over at Sakura, who was studying me. "I wasn't falling asleep!" I denied.

She raised an eyebrow, leaning closer to me. "Oh yeah?"

I gulped, "Y-Yeah! Just resting my eyes for a moment, I swear!"

"Well, no resting your eyes. You could fall sleep, and never wake up." She said.

I sighed, "Yeah, yeah..." I glanced up at Naruto again, smiling softly.

.......................................................................................

End of chapter 72! I hope this chapter is long enough... It was almost 6,000 words so it should be a decent size chapter. Anywho, I know the fight wasn't too long with Sasuke, but I tired to make it long enough, since it couldn't be too long since Yuki really hadn't wanted to injure Sasuke, if that wasn't obvious enough. Well, Sakura and Naruto now know where the scar on Yuki's stomach came from. I should be ending this story soon, and starting up on the third book, which I am super excited for. I will try not to end this part of the story with a cliff hanger, since I know that just kills you guys ^-^

This is not edited.
