Chapter 54- Learning About the Crystal Style

I do not own Naruto

I crouched on a roof top, looking down at all of the villagers. My eyes scanned over all the people, looking for someone that didn't seem to fit in. My eyes landed on a woman with the kessho village headband, but she didn't wear any of the crystal outfits the ninja from here wear.

Jumping down I landed in front of here. She froze before forcing a smile. People around us paused as they looked at me. I handed the woman a chakra paper.

"What's this?" She asked, looking at me as if I was stupid.

"A precaution. The Kessho village's genjutsu has gone down, so there is a possibility of enemies in the village. According to the ninja's here, there are only certain chakra types, so I need to see your chakra type." I smiled, "If you're a ninja from this village, then you won't have any problem."

She swallowed before nodding and looking at the paper. The paper became wet, making me smirk. She smiled, "See, I'm all good-"

I slammed my palm into her nose, catching her off guard. She cried out in pain, clutching her nose. Glaring at me she pulled a metal kunai and charged. Civilians shouted as they ran off, I kept my eyes trained on the woman in front of me.

Grabbing her arm with the kunai I twisted it, her hand gave out dropping the kunai. Growling she went to shove a knee in my stomach. Flipping over her I pushed her to the ground before hitting a pressure point in her neck. She went limp, falling to the floor.

I chuckled to myself while using chakra strings to tie her up. Picking up the woman I threw her over my shoulder and walked away. Villagers, who were trying to calm down, smiled when they saw me pass them up.

I tossed the woman down with the other seven people I had found. Making handsigns I muttered, "Crimson fruit." Once the enemies were surrounded by crystal I turned around to look for some more enemies.

A small smile formed on my face as I looked at the crowd of blond's with blue eyes. My smile dropped a little when I saw a person with black hair. I started making my way towards the man, his hair wasn't anything like anyone's here. I wasn't stupid enough to just assume he was an enemy just because of his hair color, but he was dressed like a civilian and no civilian has that much chakra.

I tapped the man on his shoulder, making him turn to look at me. He looked at my headband and glared. "What do you want, Konoha ninja?"

"You're a civilian, right?" I asked.

He nodded, "Yeah."

"Have you lived in this village your whole life?" I studied him.

He paused, glancing in the other direction for a second. "Yeah, I've lived here my entire life."

I nodded slowly, "And your parents and everyone in your family?"

He grabbed me by my shirt, "Yeah, why do you keep asking all of these questions, runt?"

I smirked, "Because, if you had lived in this village for your whole life, and your family is from here you would have blond hair, or blue eyes. That, and for a civilian, your chakra is too high. Another thing, you would know who I am, or rather, who my mother was. For these things adding up, I can assume that you are not from this village."

He cursed before hitting my shoulder with a shot of air. I bit my lip to keep from shouting in pain as my shoulder was pierced with a invisible blade. Dropping me he started to run off. Quickly on my feet again I released a seal.

The man stopped running when I appeared in front of him. Blood dripped down from my shoulder onto the ground. I glared at him, "I would have gone easy on you, but you've pissed me off." Without a warning I charged at him. My hands formed fast handsigns before I was holding a multicolored crystal sword.

He raised a kunai to block my sword, his free hand went to do the same jutsu again. I jumped back as a sharp push of air zipped past me, I panted slightly as he ran towards me. Side stepping the man I thrusted forward to stab him in the shoulder. My body froze when he grabbed onto a nearby civilian.

He raised a kunai to the little boy's neck. I glared at the black haired man, the little boy cried in fright as the cool metal went closer to him. "Don't get any closer, or I'll cut off his head."

I clenched my teeth, "Only scum brings a child into a fight."

"Call me what you want, but don't make a move to escape or he dies." The man grunted, stepping back with the kid still in his arms.

A woman, who I guessed to be the boy's mother, cried out. "Natsu! Please, give me back my boy!"

I went to step closer to the man, but the boy cried out louder as the man brought the kunai closer. The woman beside me went to go closer to the man, but I reached out and grabbed her arm. She looked back at me, her dark blue eyes filled with tears. "Please! Let me get him!"

I shook my head, "You can't get near him right now. He has a weapon threatening your son, I have to wait for the right time before I can intervene. He has to let his guard down first."

Her bottom lip quivered before she nodded her head, I looked back at the man. He stepped back another step, his hold on the boy still strong. My body quivered as I tried to think quickly. My eyes went down to the rock the man was about to trip over.

Just as he went to take another step back I lundged, luckily just as I had thought the man started to fall backwards. With my speed I appeared in front of the boy. Grabbing onto the man's arm with the kunai I used my strength and snapped his wrist. The man cried out as a snicking snap was heard, wrapping my arms around the boy I jumped back.

The child clung onto my shirt, I winced as he dug his fingers into my wounded shoulder. Patting his head I set him down on the ground before rushing back at the black haired man. He kneeled on the ground, clutching his wrist. My hand curled into a fist, I lundged forward and landed a hit onto his face.

People around us rushed out of the way as he went flying back. Hitting the wall of a shop the man slumped down, glaring at him with hooded eyes I made my way towards him. Picking him up by the collar of his shirt I tied him up by my crystal shackles.

"You're just lucky I can't kill you." I growled, dragging him back to the other prisoners. My wounded shoulder throbbed, more blood dripping to the ground.

The mother of the boy from earlier smiled at me gratefully, hugging her child. I offered a small smile as I kept walking.

I stood with my arms on my hips, a big grin on my face. Jiraiya looked from the group of people I had tied up to my bleeding shoulder. Hikaru looked shocked as he counted the amount of peole I had caught. Arashi stood my Hikaru, a smirk on his face.

"That's ten for Yuki, and six for Hikaru. Hate to say it, kid, but you lost." Arashi smirked.

"Damn it." Hikaru sighed while he went to pull out all of his money.

"Hey, Pervy Sage, can you help me bandage my shoulder? I would have healed it myself, but I know tomorrow I'm going to need a lot of chakra to put up that genjutsu." I smiled.

"Yuki, how did you get your shoulder hurt?" Jiraiya asked as he helped me bandage it.

I chuckled, "Eh, just got a little careless."

Hikaru stood to the side, his arms crossed. I smirked, "So, Hikaru, where's my money?"

His eye twitched before he threw a sack of money at me. I raised my good arm and caught it. "Thanks!" I grinned.

"Let's call it a day." Arashi walked over to me, a smile on his face. "Come on, Yuki. We're going to the academy. I believe Hiro sensei agreed to teach you this week."

I grinned, "Yosh! You coming too, Pervy Sage?"

Jiraiya went to respond, but it seemed his answer was changed when he saw two women talking towards a hot spring. "I think I'm just going to go relax at the hot springs..."

I narrowed my eyes, but didn't have time to say anything as Arashi was already walking away. Running to catch up to Arashi, Hikaru beside him.

I stared at the older woman with short blond hair, her blue eyes studied me. Small wrinkles were seen around her eyes, but despite that she didn't look too old. Her Kessho headband was worn around her neck.

"Are you sure she's Mai's daughter?" The woman asked.

My eye twitched, "What was that?"

"I'm just saying, you're much more behaved than your mother was." She said.

Hikaru and Arashi looked at the woman then at me. I raised an eyebrow, "My mother, a trouble maker? You must be out of your mind lady. My mother was the most serious and well behaved woman ever!"

"Oh really?" She raised a eyebrow as well. "Anyway, we're not here to talk about your mother, or her behavior. I heard you didn't learn about the crystal style too much, so I'm in charge of teaching you. I'm Hiro." she extended her hand to me.

"I'm Yuki." I shook her hand.

"Arashi, Hikaru, you go ahead and leave. I'm sure Yuki is old enough to not have to have you two here. Yuki, go sit at a desk." Hiro waved the two boys away before following me over to a desk.

Once the door closed Hiro smiled at me, "You do look a lot like her, Yuki. Anyway, I'm sure you already know somethings about the crystal style, but have you realized something?" When I didn't say anything she said, "Each crystal user has different color crystal."

My eyes widened as I nodded, "Now that you mention it, yeah! My mom had a light pink color crystal, Arashi has blue, and Guren had a dark pink color, and Eito has black..."

She froze, "You've seen Guren? How is she?"

I blinked before looking down. "Well, she is working- was working for Orochimaru."

Hiro sighed, "And her crystal was a dark pink?"

I nodded, "Yeah, does that mean anything?"

"As a matter of fact, each color of crystal means something. The color of the chakra is determined by a person's heart and personality. As well as that, but the color is also determined in strength. You have people with yellow crystal, who are generally kind people but their crystal is the weakest. Red crystal is the next to weakest crystal, who is normally the hot headed people. Then you have the Blue crystal, these people are normally calm but you don't want to get them upset, it's the third strongest." Hiro paused before continuing.

"Pink crystal is one of the stronger crystals, normally people with this crystal color are what some would say a strong personality. Green crystal, while it is uncommon it still isn't the strongest out of all the crystals, people with this crystal color are normally show off's. People with black crystal, who are normally good leaders and their crystal is still not the strongest but it's not the weakest either. Then you have the people with pure white crystal, this crystal beats all the other crystals around, and normally people who have this crystal color are considered innocent." Hiro explained.

"So, the order it goes in is yellow, red, blue, pink, green, black, then white?" I asked.

Hiro nodded, "So, which one do you have, Yuki?"

I glanced down before meeting her eyes, "I don't have any of the ones you said. My crystal is multi colored."

Her eyes widened, "M-Multi colored?"

I nodded, "What does that mean?"

Recovering from her shock she smiled. "A person with multi colored crystal, that's the most rare of them all. That color crystal is the strongest crystal, it can cut through any other color crystal around, while being nearly impossible to break. A person with that color crystal is said to have a pure heart, even more so than the person with white crystal."

I grinned, "So, my crystal is the strongest?"

She sighed but nodded, "Yeah, it is."

"So cool!" I cheered, she looked at me amused. "One question though. I know that my mother and Guren had the same color crystal, but how come Mom's was lighter than Guren's crystal?"

"I was just getting to that. While people can have the same color crystal, it it possible for some to have a darker or lighter color crystal for certain reasons. In this case, Mai's crystal was lighter because her heart was not tainted by darkness, while Guren's was darker because her heart has been tainted with darkness. Now for you, Yuki, once your heart becomes even the slightest bit tainted with darkness, you can't use crystal style anymore." Hiro explained.

My eyes widened, "W-What? Why?"

"Because, as a multi colored crysta user, your heart must remain pure in order to use that crystal style. Once you get even the smallest amount of darkness in you, you can't use your crystal anymore, understand?" Hiro looked me in the eye. "That is why the multi colored crystal is so rare now. Nearly everyone has a tainted heart. Yuki, make sure to protect that pureness."

"So, how did your first day go?" Jiraiya asked, walking beside me.

I smiled, "It went really well! I learned about the different types of crystals!"

He grinned and ruffled my hair, "Oh, did you now?"

I laughed, almost feeling as if I was a little kid again and having my grandparent pick me up after class, almost. My stomach growled, making my face burn. Laughing at me Jiraiya said, "Okay, let's go get something to eat, tomorrow you need to start putting that genjutsu up."

I nodded, "Yeah, that's going to take a couple of days. I have a really good genjutsu that I've been working on that will be perfect for this village."

Jiraiya smiled, "Oh, and what is it?"

I put a finger to my lips, "You'll have to wait to see tomorrow."
